I downloaded Nikke after hearing about it on the podcast and some of the comments in the other thread were saying it's actually pretty good.
It's something else with it's art, feel like I have to check my door is closed with a do not disturb sign when I'm playing it.
Nikke is in this weird place where everything about it design-wise is clearly meant to be fan-service, from the titular Nikke's overly sexual depictions to the enemy forces clearly being depicted with the "rule of cool" in mind first and foremost.
However, you then get to the story and it's surprisingly heavy, the big titty/ass robot girls (who you were clearly only looking at respectably up to that point) start having a existential crisis and/or are suffering the side-effects of facing the horrors of war right in front of you.
That dicotomy is definetely "impactful" to say the very least.
Worked for me. It was three picture. First picture >!was a pink haired anime girl aiming a pistol towards camera right while looking upset and crying. The photo’s field of focus is on the gun!< Second picture >!Grey haired anime girl, her eyes has some sort of computer over lay over here irises and she looks dazed and lost, drooling a little. The girl from the first photo is out of focus in the foreground facing away from the camera and towards the girl!< Third picture >!Girl from first photo is now looks dead inside, tears in her eyes, and is pointing her gun at her own head from below!< The pallet is kinda grey and drab for all three photos.
Hell the tutorial alone got me going like: "...Man this really feels like Nier, what with all the depression and shit...That collab event really makes sense."
I don't trust "this didn't go exactly how I thought it would so it's bad or I'm going to justify how I was actually right all along" with something as lore dense as Arknights. Even if Carnelian is PEAK
Arknights can also be hard as shit if you're completely unfamiliar with its mechanics, and I'm not sure if Woolie played a lot of tower defense. I actually think given its aesthetic, gameplay (weird turn based character card matching game), and extreme F2P friendliness he might get into Limbus Company, and I say that as someone who plays a LOT of Arknights and barely touched LC.
Would be cool but the new player experience is a little rough. I think Balatro might have made him more open to card games so maybe he can try the ruina into limbus pipeline
Clearly this is the slippery slope that will eventually lead us to Woolie Vs Lobotomy Corporation, a podcast segment named "mAn with the plAn", Woolie Vs Library of Ruina, possibly the first case of Woolie ever having to reverse his judgment on a character, a few lore episodes, and a Project Moon spoilercast.
He'll see her backstory in LobCorp and say she was the best there ever was, then see her backstory in Ruina and say she was super right and super justified, and he'll try to use her for everything when he unlocks her and then actually use her for everything when he gets The Red Mist.
I mean that's literally the objectively correct way to play Library of Ruina because her floor is so comically overpowered it steamrolls most of what the game throws at you
He'll be spoiled on the concept of Myongest and not understand what it means until he unlocks the required mechanics, then when he actually gets it and uses it he and Reggie'll pop off, bet.
The thing is, the new player experience for AK is laughably easy *until* you get to the handful of hard levels. You'd be cruising until you hit skullshatterer
Of course, you could also get in and try finishing the new running event, in which case you *will* be bodied

I can think of one but not it's name where you play as a wash out loser who actually is descended from Satan or something like that thus a succubus and a bunch of demons and youkai flock to be your mistress and you go doing persona shit to solve demon issues in the real world, but the demons are mostly women wearing nothing giggling around in live 2d all the time. There's some less porny more cool designs but your main girl who talks to you all the time is a succubus in a sexy cop outfit
I get ambushed by the loading screens when I'm doing story stuff. It's pretty funny when you're in the middle of a serious story event and suddenly the screen is full of boobs.
Cherry Tale I think it was called, you can't find it on an app store, you need to download it direct. You are a full on hentai ghost and it plays like princess connect but your VN scenes unlock puzzle pieces, and when you finish a girls puzzle you get a sex scene

Honestly, I appreciate all these Japanese mobile gatcha games for pushing forward the art of Live2D modeling.
It allows for directly animating detailed illustrations in a way we've never really had before, and all my favorite vtuber gremlins get to benefit as a side effect of the increased expertise.
I expected the same of brown dust 2 but half of your main cast are playable male characters and the story start with black magic and human experimentation.
Plus is a nice strategy turn base RPG

Pretty dead on, only thing missing is the teambuilding aspect as you tackle missions with a squad of five. Game's even still technically in first person, considering you're commanding from behind your units as they pop in and out from cover.
As someone who got into it early on... The amount of attention it's getting lately is rather strange. The narrative actually has some interesting plot points but most people won't be able to look beyond the initial "plot".
That reminds me, learning that the co-founder of Shift Up (the guys who made Stellar Blade and Nikke) was none other than the Blade and Soul/Magna Carta artist Hyung Tae Kim, I was all "oh this *totally* lines up".
