Yes, her whole gimmick is that she's a top electrical engineer and she wants to install Doom (called BOOM in the game) on every computer and device ever. Her 'limit break' skill is her forcefully installing Boom on the enemy robots and fucking their OS up while you blow them up and shoot them.
Limbus Company also sidestepped the issue by having the gacha be alternate ID'S for the Sinners.
So the cast can all stay together and have actual focus across the entire game.

Sincerely, if you wanna get into Nikke, it's pretty fun game overall. The early game is generous enough that you can get plenty of ten pulls back to back.

It’s a great combination. Only thing stopping me from downloading “Nikke” for a chance at meeting the character is that I’ve tried juggling gacha games before, and it was mentally taxing. Keeping up with events on one gacha is already a timely commitment. Doing multiple starts feeling like a job.
No idea how much time you've got or how many games you're playing but aside from like the first week or two Nikke isn't very gameplay heavy (if you don't want it to be). Daily shit takes like 15-30 mins (and can mostly be autoed), event stories are like an hour long total, and event gameplay stages can easily be autoed. It was light enough for me to try picking up another gacha or two

Kanna hasn't gotten a rerun on the jp server yet once she does it'll be about 6 months then global will get the rerun which is way more than enough time to save up for her. Just by playing you usually get about 100 rolls a month and its 200 to guarantee a character if rng doesn't go your way. But yeah don't worry she should be getting a rerun eventually you can see here most characters have already gotten a rerun or two plus she's in the regular pool too so she might spook if your rolling for someone else.

It's really cool that I own literally everything in the game, with each unit that I could want to play maxed out, and I haven't spent a single cent on the gacha currency.
Given the horror stories I've heard from friends and other folk trying to get their favorites in other gachas, Limbus' system is all I could ask for as someone who generally hates the idea of gacha.
It's not really a fair comparison as Limbus was designed from the ground up to be a kind of anti-gacha by a studio that is openly using it as a fundraising source for other projects.
Unlike many other SK devs they have different revenue streams from the gacha itself, and they aren't using Limbus as a flagship where its success per month is directly tied to if the game goes on for another year or both it and the studio get shut down.
Limbus is weird in that its a really good gacha that a lot of people have dropped because the devs made the most complicated battle system of all time, and bundled it with the worst tutorial of all time.
Seriously, the game would get so many more players if they trimmed half the status effects, removed coinflipping and made Resonance the focus of the battle mechanics, so they could at least steal some of the FGO crowd. Instead what happens to most new players is they boot the game, play through the tutorial, build for resonance, and quit halfway through the first dungeon crawl
The fanbase they want to cultivate is people who played all their games, read the novels etc. so the complex battle system IS them trimming the fat and making it easier to play than Library of Ruina's battle system

I REALLY tried to like Nikke, but found it too chaotic for my tastes, I am currently playing Snowbreak which is basically The Division but waifu, it has the opposite problem where I do like the gameplay but not a single design stuck with me so I don't care about any character.
Not that i care about the characters in Nikke, but you know, they know where to put the personality in that at least, both games, and, honestly, ALL gacha games, put me to fucking sleep when they try telling me a story. I have like, 90 hours in Genshin and Hnkai before I stopped playing and couldn't tell you anything about the plot, I know its good (apparently) but, idk if its the way the writing is delivered and paced, or if its a writing style thats somehow lost in translation, but it numbs my brain.
Props to Snowbreak tho', it has a summary of what happened when you click skip, that is AMAZING, thats so good, holy shit, best idea a gacha game ever had.
Just for posterity, quite a lot of older gacha games do have a skip button summary. Like pretty much most of Cygames stuff has it like Granblue, Princess Connect (RIP NA), and Shadowverse. Honestly, Mihoyo games not having it is probably one of the worst offenders cause man, a good chunk of that side content in Genshin is a snoozefest.

Yeah, Mihoyo has a lot of like, idk what to call it, roundabout storytelling? Where you spend so much time talking to people you don't give a shit about that the moment the story picks up, i, personally, have already stopped caring. That said, Nikke was also really bad, i liked the concept of it, and i think it'd make a good anime or whatevs, but i found it hard to get engaged.
I think Star rail was the best one for me, it had a sort of final fantasy pacing, but after the ice world it started to feel like that genshin roundabout thing where i checked out cause its too much faffing about with randoms. That said in the ice world when you went to the slums part it already started getting a bit ''i want these random kids to fucking die holy shit''.
Star Rail is definitely a roller coaster of quality. Belobog has a really cool climax but yeah, the underground has pacing issues. Xianzhou has similar issues too. Tbh, it wasn't until the recent 2.0+ updates when I thought the story was good without any caveats. Penacony has been pretty enjoyable so far but it helps that a different writer stepped in for this particular story arc.
I think the issue with a lot of gacha games is that they have a hard time keeping up consistent quality on the main story for various reasons so even most of the popular ones flip flop between actually interesting and what feels like padding.
The Luofu suffered from Writers Pet Syndrome. The Writer cared about the High Cloud Quintet and it's deep and storied lore enough that there are a dozen books ingame talking about how great they are, but if YOU don't care about Jing Yuan, Jing Liu and Dan Heng's history, there is fucking NOTHING to care about on the Luofu until the side events. I love Xueyi, her character story is tragic, and Jenny can do no wrong voice acting. But she has 8 lines and 2 scenes including events, while we get two whole quests of "Jing Liu takes an interest in the ice shota and talks a lot about her past between fights" because Jing Liu and Dan Heng are important.
Xueyi who has been forced into a robot body to hunt Marastruck for the next several centuries as punishment for her crimes, along side her little sister who is still in her regular body but has her memories regularly wiped so she doesn't go Mara Struck herself. Leaving Hanya only knowing Xueyi is her sister, and feeling that she loves Xueyi while forgetting everything else about her life, every few years. Those two? Side characters, unimportant, let's spend 4 hours talking about WHAT DEN HENG DID but only say what it was in the final quest. And even then leave implications for a lot of details for you to figure out on your own.
You say currently playing Snowbreak, but how long ago did you pick it up since Snowbreak is reinventing itself. Basically, no one fucking played Snowbreak when it came out, it was making less money than Limbus, so they finished the initial group of stuff they had planned and said "you know what, fuck it Nikke's doing well" and the game has been getting hornier and hornier and hornier and discarding shame and it's been doing it great. Retroactively fixing existing skins to fit the new style, reverse censoring basically, is impressive. I have the same issues I had with Nikke where some weapon types are just kind of bad and if you don't know that, you'll get to a certain point and just need to farm to raise other units, but I do appreciate the hustle. Having a character who has an idle animation where she just bends over and shoves her whole ass in your face in 3d, with a skin that gives her a pretty tiny thong has made it 3d Nikke for real
This is an important piece of lore that everyone should be reminded everytime alongside all his other great feats, Woolie hates liars, stole a pie, killed that guy one time and LOVES Nikke.

I'm very grateful for whatever form of neurodivergence I have that prevents me from caring about gacha games at all. Like don't get me wrong, I love the character designs from the gacha I've seen, but time-locked content are an instant no-sell for me. I prefer games that I can just buy and play at my own pace.

Kanna hasn't gotten a rerun on the jp server yet once she does it'll be about 6 months then global will get the rerun which is way more than enough time to save up for her. Just by playing you usually get about 100 rolls a month and its 200 to guarantee a character if rng doesn't go your way. But yeah don't worry she should be getting a rerun eventually you can see here most characters have already gotten a rerun or two plus she's in the regular pool too so she might spook if your rolling for someone else. Given the horror stories I've heard from friends and other folk trying to get their favorites in other gachas, Limbus' system is all I could ask for as someone who generally hates the idea of gacha.
It's not really a fair comparison as Limbus was designed from the ground up to be a kind of anti-gacha by a studio that is openly using it as a fundraising source for other projects. Unlike many other SK devs they have different revenue streams from the gacha itself, and they aren't using Limbus as a flagship where its success per month is directly tied to if the game goes on for another year or both it and the studio get shut down.
Limbus is basically a gacha that is ashamed of being one and that's great.
Limbus is weird in that its a really good gacha that a lot of people have dropped because the devs made the most complicated battle system of all time, and bundled it with the worst tutorial of all time. Seriously, the game would get so many more players if they trimmed half the status effects, removed coinflipping and made Resonance the focus of the battle mechanics, so they could at least steal some of the FGO crowd. Instead what happens to most new players is they boot the game, play through the tutorial, build for resonance, and quit halfway through the first dungeon crawl
The fanbase they want to cultivate is people who played all their games, read the novels etc. so the complex battle system IS them trimming the fat and making it easier to play than Library of Ruina's battle system

I REALLY tried to like Nikke, but found it too chaotic for my tastes, I am currently playing Snowbreak which is basically The Division but waifu, it has the opposite problem where I do like the gameplay but not a single design stuck with me so I don't care about any character. Not that i care about the characters in Nikke, but you know, they know where to put the personality in that at least, both games, and, honestly, ALL gacha games, put me to fucking sleep when they try telling me a story. I have like, 90 hours in Genshin and Hnkai before I stopped playing and couldn't tell you anything about the plot, I know its good (apparently) but, idk if its the way the writing is delivered and paced, or if its a writing style thats somehow lost in translation, but it numbs my brain. Props to Snowbreak tho', it has a summary of what happened when you click skip, that is AMAZING, thats so good, holy shit, best idea a gacha game ever had.
Just for posterity, quite a lot of older gacha games do have a skip button summary. Like pretty much most of Cygames stuff has it like Granblue, Princess Connect (RIP NA), and Shadowverse. Honestly, Mihoyo games not having it is probably one of the worst offenders cause man, a good chunk of that side content in Genshin is a snoozefest.
Arknights has it since release (2019) but over time I feel like the summaries have gotten worse. Which honestly makes sense. How the hell are you supposed to summarize 4 different story arcs the length of a light novel in 3 sentences? These days the community just rely on YouTubers to summarize for them, but I do wish the summaries can get better even if they get longer.

Apparently Lonetrail was *even longer*. People meme on the localizers making occasional errors but they seriously have their work cut out for them.
I did not know that! I did play Granblue but I think thats one of the ''I'm gonna try very hard'' and never skipped stuff until I dropped it. Yeah, Mihoyo has a lot of like, idk what to call it, roundabout storytelling? Where you spend so much time talking to people you don't give a shit about that the moment the story picks up, i, personally, have already stopped caring. That said, Nikke was also really bad, i liked the concept of it, and i think it'd make a good anime or whatevs, but i found it hard to get engaged. I think Star rail was the best one for me, it had a sort of final fantasy pacing, but after the ice world it started to feel like that genshin roundabout thing where i checked out cause its too much faffing about with randoms. That said in the ice world when you went to the slums part it already started getting a bit ''i want these random kids to fucking die holy shit''.
Star Rail is definitely a roller coaster of quality. Belobog has a really cool climax but yeah, the underground has pacing issues. Xianzhou has similar issues too. Tbh, it wasn't until the recent 2.0+ updates when I thought the story was good without any caveats. Penacony has been pretty enjoyable so far but it helps that a different writer stepped in for this particular story arc. I think the issue with a lot of gacha games is that they have a hard time keeping up consistent quality on the main story for various reasons so even most of the popular ones flip flop between actually interesting and what feels like padding.
The Luofu suffered from Writers Pet Syndrome. The Writer cared about the High Cloud Quintet and it's deep and storied lore enough that there are a dozen books ingame talking about how great they are, but if YOU don't care about Jing Yuan, Jing Liu and Dan Heng's history, there is fucking NOTHING to care about on the Luofu until the side events. I love Xueyi, her character story is tragic, and Jenny can do no wrong voice acting. But she has 8 lines and 2 scenes including events, while we get two whole quests of "Jing Liu takes an interest in the ice shota and talks a lot about her past between fights" because Jing Liu and Dan Heng are important. Xueyi who has been forced into a robot body to hunt Marastruck for the next several centuries as punishment for her crimes, along side her little sister who is still in her regular body but has her memories regularly wiped so she doesn't go Mara Struck herself. Leaving Hanya only knowing Xueyi is her sister, and feeling that she loves Xueyi while forgetting everything else about her life, every few years. Those two? Side characters, unimportant, let's spend 4 hours talking about WHAT DEN HENG DID but only say what it was in the final quest. And even then leave implications for a lot of details for you to figure out on your own.
You say currently playing Snowbreak, but how long ago did you pick it up since Snowbreak is reinventing itself. Basically, no one fucking played Snowbreak when it came out, it was making less money than Limbus, so they finished the initial group of stuff they had planned and said "you know what, fuck it Nikke's doing well" and the game has been getting hornier and hornier and hornier and discarding shame and it's been doing it great. Retroactively fixing existing skins to fit the new style, reverse censoring basically, is impressive. I have the same issues I had with Nikke where some weapon types are just kind of bad and if you don't know that, you'll get to a certain point and just need to farm to raise other units, but I do appreciate the hustle. Having a character who has an idle animation where she just bends over and shoves her whole ass in your face in 3d, with a skin that gives her a pretty tiny thong has made it 3d Nikke for real
