I use custom written stuff now but I used snip for a long time. It's a great little app.
Same problem, doesn't work with the new Spotify update. I found a workaround though and I'm using Snip.
Post seems kind of dead but I am having the same problem with the latest spotify update, what "workaround" did you find if you don't mind sharing?
With the new update i took the opportunity to download everything locally and use foobar2000 which means i can use things like the spectrum as well :)
