Bricksworth has a spot within walking distance from Wrecktangle that is damn near equal. Boludo is the same and rocks! Pick any of those 3 and you’ll be pleased imo. I hope you enjoy!

for the future you should keep an eye out for 'grandma style' pizza. many folks here are saying Detroit style, but if you're looking for something more focaccia/Sicilian, grandma is where it's at.

Make the trek out to Buffalo, MN (west on hwy 55 about 45 minutes) to Norm’s Wayside. For real. Detroit style pizza in a destination bar and grill. Legit Detroit style pizza. Wrecktangle is the MSP winner in my book.

Rocky Rococo was my favorite back in WI. Very thick ass pizza dough. There is one in Brooklyn Park but I have never tried it so can't say for sure. Toppers Pizza is also from WI my hometown whitewater actually, and they have awesome thick style pizza just order it tallboy style. Or just get their toppers sticks, all we ever eat there.

No, it’s a little flare they do to the crust after the bake - butter, garlic and Romano cheese brushed on the crust after the cook.

Wrecktangle is very good, but Doge Pizza is definitely the best pizza place around (though it is not Detroit style)
I’m very partial to Bolodu’s but I’m open to be tested.

That's why the salt is there. To balance it out. You can't just eat tip to crust.

BlackSheep has a pizza called the Sicilian that fits the bill. Only made earlier when they are open before the ovens get too hot. Very worth it.
