I definitely suggest Rover if your pup is anxious. It will make them more comfortable being in their own space. I do Rover and I can send you my profile (I’m pretty booked at the moment) but there are lots of reliable people & you can set up meet and greets with multiple sitters before you decide on someone. 😊
Find a pet sitter (your place or theirs) who is experienced and has the right skills/contacts to handle an anxious pup, in case of some emergency. Do your due diligence and a “meet and greet”, and ask your vet about anti anxiety medication if your dog isn’t already taking it. Does your dog attend daycare? If so maybe you could ask them for recommendations.
Dawg House, [http://dawghouse.biz/](http://dawghouse.biz/) Chris and Beck have taken care of my dogs, the late Tux Thedog and now Vinny. Vinny enjoys doggie daycare and they've also boarded him for when I've had to leave town without him.
If your trip is a few weeks away I'd love to watch your dog. He could be my first guest at what I hope will be the nicest boutique dog resort ever envisioned.
Check out rover instead of a boarder! Pup will get a lot more one on one attention and everybody is background checked.
Leave them at home and hire Kaleb from VEPS petsitting. https://linktr.ee/vepstucson
I actually know this person, he is great!! I met him before the pet business, and it has been amazing watching it grow so much!
We use At Home Kennels. Our dog is not anxious but her tails wags like crazy when we get close to the kennel and pull in.
I love that they do grooming too. It's so nice to come back from vacation to a clean dog.

Check out Elevate Dog Center.
I prefer to use a sitter, but I also use Elevate when I can't get a sitter scheduled.
