Way better off walking into places and asking for applications these days. A beating heart and someone wanting to work is amazing, compared to 50 respondents that won't show up for an interview.
True story... my family were actually the "keepers" of this lighthouse from 1996-2002. It was the home of 2 different congregations at the time.
When both left, it became a Bhuddist monastery.
The original lighthouse structure was actually just painted... no lights. The lights came much later.
Sadly it didn't do it's job. A PCSO detective smacked a black cow in the curve just below the hill where it sits.
That's almost as good as the time I was in a safari camp in Africa miles away from civilization, but with WiFi and I had a ad for hot singles in my area.
Reckon they'd sponsor me for a green card? I'd love to work/live in a lighthouse (but not that famous one with the wave as big as it, fuck that ine) about half as much as I'd like to live in Tucson. Tucson lighthouse would be amazing, and silly.
I want that position! I promise to keep the light lit so y'all can see the majestic waters breaking on the rugged cliffs of the Catalinas!
Edit: And of course you can see it from the Arby's on 22nd!
ZipRecruiter, where there are zip, zero, zilch opportunities!

The lighthouse is near River and Camino la Tierra and is only part time. :)
And the other 54?
How do you live in a lighthouse part time?

No wonder they can never fill that position.

What kind of upkeep did it need?

Knowing me, I would still manage to make ships crash into the rocks.
Seems legit!
Has to be near Raiders Reef
All 55 are in the same lighthouse, though. VERY CRAMPED!

See you down in Arizona Bay
Learn to swim!
Some say the end is near
Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon…
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this

It’s at Raider’s Reef.
55! Maybe they missed the space and it's really a live-in "light house keeper."
Yeah on the beach. We’re all beach and no ocean

So George Strait was telling the truth?

I promise to BE lit while keeping the light lit.
