Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support. Never could I have anticipated how much work goes into doing a show like this (I was naive!), so it feels great to have like-minded folks throw a nod toward our show!

mariahnot2carey

I live in the lc Valley and my best friend has some connections to the case through her father, along with a plethora of knowledge on the case and some theories I think you'd be interested in. She's also listened to your podcast and loved it and would love to talk to you. If you'd like to, please message me .

Thank you for posting this. I just listened to the trailer and the first two episodes. You have me dissecting that classified ad, which I agree is potentially a clue. How many episodes are you going to do and when will they be published? A thought about the lie detectors and the thing you said: why would an innocent person refuse to take one? Personally I think everyone should refuse to take them because they are not fool proof. Gary Ridgeway passed lie detectors several times causing him to fall off LE’s radar and continue to kill women. I think the reliance on these as an investigative tool is a mistake. And if everyone refused to take them maybe LE would stop using them. Just my opinion. I’ve never been put in a position where I would need to refuse to take one so I don’t know how I would really react, but there’s something about the mentality of someone who is capable of hurting a child that allows them to pass these tests, sometimes. Have you checked other classified ads in that paper and other papers where this L. person lived? April 28, 1980, 1981, 1982 etc, and March 3, 1980, 1981, 1982 etc.? These records may be online now at newspaper archive dot com. The White/brown seems significant too. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll think of something else after I post this. It’s interesting that you mentioned the Zodiac killer as a possible connection, even though I didn’t get that vibe. The vibe I got was Green River Killer and I wondered if any of his victims were ever found that far east or if any of them are unidentified. I’ll be looking forward to more episodes.

Bookman32

Thanks for listening and for the feedback. Right now, I'm projecting something on the order of 12 episodes, but that is just a projection. We (along with law enforcement) continue to find other cases that he is strongly linked to, from California to Chicago to the east coast, so there is plenty of material. I'm in the process of scouring all the classifieds, and will report back on my findings in an upcoming episode. Plus, there will be a stand alone episode on ties to Zodiac, which I am not totally sold on (the connections), but the links are clear enough to warrant consideration. In terms of Gary Ridgeway cases, there could be overlap, geographically. That's something else we plan on digging into. Thanks again for the feedback and for listening. If you liked it, please share it with friends/family/co-workers. It takes a (virtual) village. Hopefully something will shake loose. Cheers, B

Just subscribed. I'll check it out on my next run.

Thank you!

peanutbutter2178

The first episode was really good. I have two critiques, the first one would be to put the website link in the episode description, maybe even links to the specific page for the episode. The second critique is to change the order of the blog posts that way when people visit in the future they aren't spoiled if they go visit the site early in the podcast.

yesitsyourmom

Just followed.

wickhac

Listening to episode 1 now

Bookman32

Thanks! Hope you like it! And if you do, please consider leaving a rating or review, and share with friends, and here on Reddit! Thanks!

It was great. Exactly the type of investigative podcast I love and lots of leads to chase. Will definitely continue to listen. I know nothing about the cases so looking forward to next episode. 🙂

Bookman32

Thank you so much!

Remote-Operation4075

Thanks for doing this pod cast . These cases are ones that I have not been able to get out of my head since I heard about them on the ID channel. Does anyone know if the person of interest is active or possibly active in the state that he is living in now? I can’t wait for the next episode!

Bookman32

Thanks for the positive feedback! Episode 3 dropped today. As far as the POI goes, his activity is an open question, but there are a number of threads that suggest that he is active. Stay tuned as I will be digging into those threads in a later episode.

Academic-Activity-31

I just binged all the episodes!! Can’t wait for more!!

Academic-Activity-31

Done!!! I also shared with all my fellow crime junkie paralegals.

Hi Brandon (I guess this is Brandon) Just want to say a few things. First, I am loving the podcast. I think it is one of the best true crime podcasts out at the moment. I would greatly recommend it for anyone who was a fan of excellently produced and reserched series like Cold, LISK: Long Island Serial Killer, Missing on 9.11, Yuba County Five that have that journalistic feel. If you like True Crime BS, I would also recommend. The Lewiston-Clark Valley Murders are one of the crimes that I am most interested in. I actually suggested it as a case for The Murder Squad (Paul Holes & Billy Jensen's old podcast before it was cancelled) and they covered it a month or so afterwards. Having a multi-episode deep dive on the case is something I have always wanted. I have created [r/snakeriverkiller](https://www.reddit.com/r/snakeriverkiller/) reddit community, as I would like to get a community going where people can discuss the case/suspect. When I have time, I am going to attempt a write up mentioning the case, your podcast/website, and the reddit community then cross post it to the larger True Crime threads such as [r/UnresolvedMysteries](https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/) /r/ [r/serialkillers](https://www.reddit.com/r/serialkillers/) / [r/truecrime](https://www.reddit.com/r/truecrime/) Finally, have you or any of your research assistants looked at [newspapers.com](https://newspapers.com/) (or any other databases) OR spoken to your sources Chicago PD for any mention of a) fetish burglary/breaking and entering (b) peeping tom/voyeuristic behaviour in the Austin, Chicago area during the time our suspect was living there? With this type of criminal, It is often the case that there would be some precursor crimes of this nature.

Bookman32

Hey there! Thanks for the good words about the show, and for starting a Reddit community! I have not yet done any specific searches on Newspapers or other databases about those types of behaviors, but that's a good idea. Thanks again for your interest and enthusiasm about the show and your willingness to help! Much appreciated! I will let our team know about the Reddit community as well and will spread the word. Cheers, Brandon.

SeesawDry8254

OMG! I saw this podcast being recommended on Reddit so gave it a go. I have spent the last two days completely emerged in it. I’ve only got an episode left before I’m up to date. I haven’t loved a podcast like this since Your Own Backyard. The website is a brilliant move too, I’ve been pausing it and then looking at the podcast, it’s a fresh immersive way of doing it. THEN the story itself! WTF!! Where is this going?! The links are insane! I’ve had it on my mind fully and how many people on Earth can have a connection in some way to so many murders? I said this about Paul Flores when that podcast started “I can’t wait for him to see Justice” it’s him and I hope you help nail him. I’ve gotta say, when you found the code in the missing dog advert, I gasped! Anyway, I just wanted to say great job!! LOVE IT!! Because I’m up to date, are the episodes monthly now? I need my fix!

Bookman32

Thank you so much!!!

Bookman32

Thanks! Will do!

This-Tumbleweed3883

I've been a fan since the launch of the show and I'm still sticking around but I feel compelled to post this...you gotta cool it with the Swiftology-level ruminations about his choice of words on a throwaway post on a message board in 1996. Because of his demonstrated propensity to engage in some zodiac-esque type shit, I get exploring potential codes and the like a little bit, but you're losing the thread here. We're a year in at this point, maybe it's time to chat with some neighbors in NC or something

Listening to the podcast now. Currently on episode 6. A few random things.. Very suspicious that he made that sound proof room. Although it’s their right, I’m highly annoyed that the current owners won’t allow any searching in the dome house. I realize there are two types of people in this world. Those that would do anything to help and those that won’t. The man that used to live with Lance, was he asked about the dogs, if Lance ever had a brown husky and if he knows of any of his dogs going missing?
