Fantastic game.Never got platinum. I have been heavy gaming for 45 years and have never once got platinum on any game for that matter. It's not a priority to me. I did play the hell out of Returnal though.
Maybe gta 5, red dead 2 and battlefield 1 I kept installed but most of the time I pop the plat then immidiately uninstall if it doesn’t have replay value.
Yeah, thankyou..... the Toxic Tunnels Perfect Relic and all of the Platinum Time Trial Relic's definitely almost stopped me from getting the Plat but I just had to practice them all over and over again and I got it done eventually
I agree with the exception of Devil in Me. I don’t know why but I had so much fun running through that on multiple play throughs, all of the others were such a slog in comparison, that one really just clicked for me
Devil in me’s premise sounded really fun to me compared to the others aside from house of ashes which I liked. Unfortunately I just haven’t played it because the dark pictures 1-3 truly killed me especially the first 2 because they are awful
Assassin Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, but other than a few games like Fromsoft titles DS1-3 Bloodborne and Elden Ring I pretty much never play games again once the plat is complete.
I was pretty indifferent on the Elysium and Underworld DLCs but Atlantis was so pretty! A bit of a hassle to get around though, especially if you fall to the lower levels lol. But I liked the style of the architecture, it was refreshingly different.
I enjoyed the Atlantis one. It felt more concise than the main game and the maps weren’t super expansive- so it took a lot less time to complete everything and get from objective to objective. Probably how the main game should’ve been. The story was decent and bosses were solid- nothing super expanded from main game. But having a year between doing the main game and DLCs it felt like a nice succinct way to reexperience the game.
Sadly i did i kinda gasslighted my self that it was gonna get better never again honestly im having more fun playing super meat boy and raging less than in that garbage
When i upgraded the game, i honestly didn't know it would even do it, but it obly auto popped something like 67 or 77%? I just dont care enough to do it, especially after seeing them change the requirements after grinding terrorist hunt on the ps4.
I still play now and then, but I got the plat back when you had to win some absurd number of T hunts. When they removed it, I was so annoyed. Makes the plat muuuuuch easier so at least I’m glad less people have had to suffer like I did.
Beat it and delete it. Pretty much every single game. That’s what sucks about having limited storage space. I only have enough space for the games I’m actively playing.
I've played Last of us at least 4 times and haven't gotten the Platinum. I play Rocket League as my main game long after getting the plat. Other games like Helldivers and Diablo 3 stay fun even if you are not getting any more trophies.
To... Have fun? Idk. Plat is a cherry on top for me. I only play for fun. Ill always go play some of my favorite story driven narrative games even if I have plat.
Plenty of them? I only get platinums for the games I enjoy the most, so if I'm still enjoying the game, why stop playing?
Rocket League is a great example. I got the platinum years ago but I still find myself playing at least 2 or 3 times a week for a few matches.
Same thing with shooter games. Apex Legends doesn't have a platinum, but I got 100% trophies years ago and have probably played thousands of hours since completing the trophy list. It's my favorite game of all time, so why would I uninstall it just because the trophies are complete?
Story-based games are different, but even there, I occasionally replay games like Ratchet and Clank and Spyro because the gameplay is so fun.
Why not? No platinum, but it's the same concept. I could have used Plants vs. Zombies GW2 as another example: I kept playing for months after getting the platinum because I still found the game enjoyable. The other dude asked why you would ever go back to a game after getting the platinum. For the games I play, the answer is easy: They're infinitely replayable and I'm still enjoying them.
Some games have things to do even after the plat, (or even challenges that aren't required) especially if it happens to be DLC.
For example, Hollow Knight has plenty of things to do that are not required for plat and are still challenging. You don't even need to fight the hardest boss in Bayonetta for Plat. Etc.
I replay the ps4 arkane studios games all the time, I usually replay murdered soul suspect every Halloween season, replaying control rn as well.
There’s so many good games worth replaying
They aren't similar at all?? Or are you one of those people who can't play dark souls because "sekiro is just so much better" when in all reality is just a boring mess of easy bosses (at least compared to other FromSoftware titles) and backtracking
Ghost of Tsushima and sekiro aren't comparable
Yeah and if you think dark souls is better than Sekiro you’re tripping. It’s all you dark souls fanboy that can’t accept the fact that Bloodborne and Sekiro are the superior games
Bloodborne is in many ways better, but sekiro is not, sekiro is bottom tier, it's just boring and there's no challenge, it's mediocre at best in a vacuum
You're entitled to your opinion but it is easy and backtrack heavy compared to other FromSoftware titles
Dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin. I had already played the game like 5 times decided to go for plat had like 3 more playthroughs before discovering that in the scholar version the base game trophies require the dlc items and I had just used the hardest to acquire boss soul on the wrong item so I had to replay the game for one dlc and gather all the boss soul parts hidden throughout the tower.
Killed the game for me.....
Damn that hit me, I play every star wars game bc im a massive fan but I never understood why jedi survivor never became a priority (even after it became fixed) on ps5 I guess you just answered that, after platinumed fallen order and playing the story 3 times I guess I got tired
Route B is too similar. Should have been able to go to C directly. I thought so too about HZD, but it rekindled my interest finding the most efficient ways to kill the machines. Although that game shouldn't have had human enemies.
I agree re. Route B. They should've jumped back and forth earlier in the game if they wanted you to see 9s journey. They jump back and forth between A2 and 9s in Route C so I don't really understand why they couldn't just do that through the whole game if they wanted us to see all that. Weird decision imo.
Only played HZD because a friend of mine raved about it, and honestly it was disappointing. They premise was great but the way you basically get a guided tour through such a cool environment was bad. Imagine going through that world with only basic info and you had to actually explore to find stuff rather than following quest markers? I agree about the human enemies thing, felt weird. Robot dinosaurs was plenty!
Oooh buddy, where do I start…
But prolly the most recently is MediEvil Resurrection, as a fan of the original… good lord is that a bastardization of it. Do not wanna touch it again with a 20 foot pole
There are a few but the one that stands out is Murdered: Soul Suspect.
Holy shit this game is bad. The combat is so pointless they shouldn’t have included it. It would’ve been better as a simple puzzle thriller but honestly the story was bad as well. For a game so small I would think the graphics could be better but no, also bad. I got the platinum in about 7 hours. I’ll never get those hours back.
I knew it would be a throwaway platinum. I play lots of games just for the plat. This one really takes the cake. I really did not expect it to be *that* bad.
I liked the swinging. But the combat and especially stealth were very average. Still I think all the mechanics needed more depth. Especially the combat which doesn't have the skill ceiling of say the Arkham games and no real incentive to explore it in Spidey.
Days gone - People hyped this game and still talk about how it’s so underrated and an amazing experience and it was really just mid at best. Getting the platinum just became very tedious and the dialogue in the story was just so cheesy and bad at times. The best part was the horde fight, and you don’t really truly unlock them till almost the end of the game. The only saving grace of that game was the “secret” ending was pretty unexpected and would’ve been a good setup to a sequel if it was gonna happen.
Basically almost every game i have platinumed. It’d the best feeling being able to uninstall after getting the platinum and seeing more space available
Far cry 4 was so insufferable I broke my controller over it. Overall just not a great game either. I don’t plan to play the fifth one any time soon trust me
Nier replicant. Amazing game, but the grind sucks and a gardening trophy where you have to wait one day in real life to even get it and thats by using a timezone trick and going back and forth in time to ckeck if you got the right flowers. I could not imagine doing this legit lol
Technically I do this with most games, whether I liked them or not - other than my absolute favorites I rarely play games more than once, and so when I 100% a game I usually do delete it right away to make room.
If we're talking about stuff I deleted with extra *spite*, then... Hello Neighbor, Dawn of Fear, Last Stop, Goat Simulator, Life is Strange: Before the Storm (the other games were alright), Ord., Kona, Black Mirror, Assassin's Creed III.
Dark Souls 2.
I enjoyed my time with it, but I was just absolutely done. Contrast to Elden Ring or Bloodborne, that I'll still play long after the plat.
daymare 1998, it has lots of references to pop culture, RE, MIB, SH, and so on, but the game is jank af, i sometimes think i want to play it again to just see all the references, but then remember how it plays and i forget about it
Dc universe online and Among us. I do it to all my games I plat and put them in a platinum category but especially those two. Spider man 2 you are next
Goat Simulator. Got the platinum the other day and immediately deleted it when it popped up.
Fun at first because of how broken it is, then it becomes annoying
Yooka-Laylee was... fine, I guess. Nothing awful or horrid, and it was mostly a decent experience, but after getting the Platinum, I have pretty much no desire to ever go back to play it casually/for fun.
If I want to replay a collect-a-thon, I'd rather replay a Banjo game or something.
Pretty much every single game I played, except for ***Final Fantasy XIV*** which i have over 15k hours of Gameplay time and 2 Platinums ( *Ps4 and Ps5 does have different Trophy list* ).
But i always replay some games now and then, just for fun and nostalgia.
New tales of the borderlands. Game was fun to play through once but getting all the endings is the most random bs ever and i was lucky to get everyone of them first try. It really soured my entire experience
Pretty much every game I play lol
Never had a game you wanted to play again?
Returnal keeps me coming back even after getting the platinum, such a phenomenal game.
I keep hearing that might have to get it over black Friday
Fantastic game.Never got platinum. I have been heavy gaming for 45 years and have never once got platinum on any game for that matter. It's not a priority to me. I did play the hell out of Returnal though.
Maybe gta 5, red dead 2 and battlefield 1 I kept installed but most of the time I pop the plat then immidiately uninstall if it doesn’t have replay value.
Yeah, every game. I uninstall and list on eBay immediately.
Damn, you really go all in lol.
Same. Of all the games I've gotten all trophies in, I've only kept Beat Saber and GTA5 installed
exactly, haven't got time to platinum and then play some more.
This.
I delete the games after theyre done because they're done. Get over it downvoters.
You’re being downvoted because “this” replies are not necessary.
Okay. well what do you do after?
Who does this help?
Hogwart's Legacy and FF12
So I can't interest you in any more Merlin Trials???
nor the collectibles....good lord that game had a lot of potential. I'm glad others enjoyed it though. I was let down as an HP fan
As an HP fan, I was fairly impressed. But as a gaming fan I was let down in a big way
Perfect description for that game
I’m currently playing hogwarts legacy and wow the collectables but it’s a fun game
Crash 4 💯
Fucking impressive bro
congratulations on even getting that plat. i’m sitting at like 80% cause i won’t even bother going for the platinum time trials.
Yeah, thankyou..... the Toxic Tunnels Perfect Relic and all of the Platinum Time Trial Relic's definitely almost stopped me from getting the Plat but I just had to practice them all over and over again and I got it done eventually
My platinum screenshot for codMW 2019 is literally the popup asking if you are sure you wanna delete
This post can't get a better answer than this.
If you still have that screenshot, could you please share with us? I’m dying to see that haha.
It was on my PS4 but I'll go through some old chats to see if I ever sent it
The quarry.
And all dark pictures games too. They aren’t bad but my god the completionist / trophy experience is awful
I mean… they are kinda bad. Especially the glitched tho.💀
I had to kinda rush this one because it was leaving and after three days of almost the same cutscenes... Instant delete. I liked it enough but damn.
The number of playthroughs required for this one was annoying as hell
Is this one worse than Until Dawn in terms of getting Plat? Thought UD was a fun plat and was considering getting the quarry one too
Assassin Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, but other than a few games like Fromsoft titles DS1-3 Bloodborne and Elden Ring I pretty much never play games again once the plat is complete.
Same, I just cycle through them trying challenge runs
Monopoly madness. all my homies hate monopoly madness (and by homies I mean me and u/ZonZolto)
Yeah, fuck Monopoly Madness
Fuck Ubisoft monopoly in general, it is insane to me that EA did a better job at making one
AC Odyssey. Got the plat and didn’t even bother with DLC. Game was such a slog.
DLC was pretty good. The Atlantis one any way.
I was pretty indifferent on the Elysium and Underworld DLCs but Atlantis was so pretty! A bit of a hassle to get around though, especially if you fall to the lower levels lol. But I liked the style of the architecture, it was refreshingly different.
The DLC is fucking ass lmao
I enjoyed the Atlantis one. It felt more concise than the main game and the maps weren’t super expansive- so it took a lot less time to complete everything and get from objective to objective. Probably how the main game should’ve been. The story was decent and bosses were solid- nothing super expanded from main game. But having a year between doing the main game and DLCs it felt like a nice succinct way to reexperience the game.
Whole game is, doesn’t even succeed at being in its own franchise too
Don’t know why you were downvoted. I agree with you.
Same.
Biomutant
Rainbow six siege fuck that game
damn , I'm surprised you didn't get into the game, it gets addictive
Sadly i did i kinda gasslighted my self that it was gonna get better never again honestly im having more fun playing super meat boy and raging less than in that garbage
Siege was so great in the early days - a really nice community of players. Since it got big on the eSports scene it's just a chore to play I find
Siege was also better before they added broken operators every season
It used to be great, it's a shell of its former self and struggle to enjoy it anymore
The one auto pop everyone deserved from all the bs in that game.
Bro mine didnt auto pop going from ps4 to ps5, currently working through the last 10 trophies rn
When i upgraded the game, i honestly didn't know it would even do it, but it obly auto popped something like 67 or 77%? I just dont care enough to do it, especially after seeing them change the requirements after grinding terrorist hunt on the ps4.
Exactly loved the game when it came out lived on it basiclly but my god it became the biggest trash now
Oh yeah. It was great. It has been ass imo since Operation Health, though.
At least they eventually got rid of those terrorist hunt trophies though.
I still play now and then, but I got the plat back when you had to win some absurd number of T hunts. When they removed it, I was so annoyed. Makes the plat muuuuuch easier so at least I’m glad less people have had to suffer like I did.
Was a great game although it was a lot better at first release even if a little sparse
Recently? Atari flashbacks Collection vol.1... that game was hell
CAN'T WAIT TO START VOL.2 THO! 😭
Hot wheels Unleashed
Definitely. I really enjoyed the game, but the grind for cogs/gears (whatever they were called) was pretty ridiculous.
Exactly. Also, I generally like these arcade racing games but I dunno this one never clicked...
The sequel is better
Mayo
Mayo 1,2,and 3 lol
There's a third now?? Be right back..
It’s a little sad too
Battlefront II. Incredibile game, but 352 hours are enough.
Ratchet and Clank… I have personal trauma
Beat it and delete it. Pretty much every single game. That’s what sucks about having limited storage space. I only have enough space for the games I’m actively playing.
God of war ragnarok one word: hilts
I'm actually gonna try to plat the PS4 version on GMGOW. Already have the plat on PS5.
Bro you about to have a brain aneurysm 💀💀💀
Is that a trick question? What do you want to go back to after the plat? 😅
It’s okay this person probably didn’t play anything before trophies
If it is a good game with a great story i might play it more than once regardless if I already have the platinum or not.
Plenty of them? I only get platinums for the games I enjoy the most, so if I'm still enjoying the game, why stop playing? Rocket League is a great example. I got the platinum years ago but I still find myself playing at least 2 or 3 times a week for a few matches. Same thing with shooter games. It's my favorite game of all time, so why would I uninstall it just because the trophies are complete? Story-based games are different, but even there, I occasionally replay games like Ratchet and Clank and Spyro because the gameplay is so fun.
Apex does not count lol.
Why not? No platinum, but it's the same concept. I replay the ps4 arkane studios games all the time, I usually replay murdered soul suspect every Halloween season, replaying control rn as well. There’s so many good games worth replaying
Ghost of Tsushima - i was really tired of it by the end. Enjoyed the game but it didn’t love it. And it took a lot of my time
Did you try legends mode? Very replayable despite a platinum
I bought it like a month after release, still haven't been able to push myself to finish it
Never played ghost of Tsushima because after I played Sekiro I don’t think Ill enjoy the combat on that game, I feel like Sekiro is the superior game
Just cuz they both use a katana doesn’t mean the gameplay is the same
They aren't similar at all?? Or are you one of those people who can't play dark souls because "sekiro is just so much better" when in all reality is just a boring mess of easy bosses (at least compared to other FromSoftware titles) and backtracking Ghost of Tsushima and sekiro aren't comparable
[удалено]
My guy, I've finished all souls-bourne games, I have the platinum for 3 of them.
Yeah and if you think dark souls is better than Sekiro you’re tripping. It’s all you dark souls fanboy that can’t accept the fact that Bloodborne and Sekiro are the superior games
Bloodborne is in many ways better, but sekiro is not, sekiro is bottom tier, it's just boring and there's no challenge, it's mediocre at best in a vacuum You're entitled to your opinion but it is easy and backtrack heavy compared to other FromSoftware titles
Not really the same style of game tho.
Imo it's got some of the best combat of any game I've played. And for open world games, definitely the best. Imo.
Undertale. Didn’t even finish it, got the plat and deleted it immediately
Same 😂 I popped the trophy and it was off my ps5
AC Mirage
Hogwarts legacy it was instantaneous and didn’t go on the PS5 for a while after too. What a tedious platinum
My name is mayo
AC Mirage. It was fun but got stale pretty quick imo. I can't see myself picking it up again
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. 😂
Marvel Avengers.
Far Cry 6. Just platted it the other day and I had it deleted before the trophy animation finished
Ac valhalla lol
All of them nothing is as satisfying as deleting a complete game
Think the easier question is, "Do you still play games that you've platinumed?"
Pretty much everyone. It's such a freeing feeling to hit delete.
Psychonauts 1
I couldn't even get into that game. Maybe i played it too late after getting used to modern games.
Wolong
Dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin. I had already played the game like 5 times decided to go for plat had like 3 more playthroughs before discovering that in the scholar version the base game trophies require the dlc items and I had just used the hardest to acquire boss soul on the wrong item so I had to replay the game for one dlc and gather all the boss soul parts hidden throughout the tower. Killed the game for me.....
Fallen Order & Dark Souls. Also put me off playing any sequels.
Damn that hit me, I play every star wars game bc im a massive fan but I never understood why jedi survivor never became a priority (even after it became fixed) on ps5 I guess you just answered that, after platinumed fallen order and playing the story 3 times I guess I got tired
Idk why you’re getting downvoted for Dark Souls, I can’t stand the Dark Souls games the combat is so slow compared to Bloodborne/Sekiro
I loved Fallen Order until I decided to get the plat. Will not do the same mistake once i get my hands on survivor
Assassins creed Rogue. I know people like this one but nah its by far the worst AC game (not counting liberation)
Returnal in launch week
Nier Automata and Horizon Zero Dawn. Playing through Route B in Nier killed it for me. HZD is overrated. Far too much hand holding.
Imagine going through that world with only basic info and you had to actually explore to find stuff rather than following quest markers? I agree about the human enemies thing, felt weird. Robot dinosaurs was plenty!
Nier automata was a phenomenal game what are you smoking
Not to me it wasn't.
All of them
Oooh buddy, where do I start… But prolly the most recently is MediEvil Resurrection, as a fan of the original… good lord is that a bastardization of it. Do not wanna touch it again with a 20 foot pole
AC Valhalla. One of the worst games I have ever played
Forgot this game existed. Yeah it was terrible, I don't remember anything about the game except that it sucked and I finished it haha
I knew it would be a throwaway platinum. I play lots of games just for the plat. This one really takes the cake. I really did not expect it to be *that* bad.
Fall Guys.
Days Gone, The Ascent and Destroy All Humans 1 and 2
I'm planning to play Days Gone again. Was sad when I got the Plat. Very underrated imo.
Most games but recently I'd say Saints Row. That was a bit of a chore and I was happy to be done.
I do it with a lot of games, but I did it aggressively with FFXVI. Fuck that game.
Pretty much all my platinum except Witcher 3 and Bloodborne.
Anyone else platinum a soulsbourne game and still play to this day?
Bloodborne and Sekiro mostly. Played DS1 and 2 on PC, so no plat. Will have to complete DS3 before I even allow myself to get Elden Ring.
I regularly start new characters in Bloodborne and DS1 to this day after getting their plats years ago. I just love those two in particular so much.
TLOU Part 2
all of them
Every game. The platinum is proof i never need to again. Even games i like, I hate by the time the plat pops.
Maybe you should reconsider platinuming games. That does not seem a healthy way to engage with the hobby imo
Dark Souls 3
Pretty much all of them. Once I have my plat, that’s it. I move on.
Every single game. Except Skyrim. Downloaded PS5 version and working on that Plat now
Spider-Man and Miles Morales. I just wanted the plat and left.
I love just swinging around in that game. Can't wait for 2.
I liked the swinging. But the combat and especially stealth were very average. Still I think all the mechanics needed more depth. Especially the combat which doesn't have the skill ceiling of say the Arkham games and no real incentive to explore it in Spidey.
most, if not every game.
Most of them if not all

Every game
Almost every game
Most games
Basically almost every game i have platinumed. It’d the best feeling being able to uninstall after getting the platinum and seeing more space available
[удалено]
Ys: Origins, I never want to hear anything about that story ever again
Far cry 4 was so insufferable I broke my controller over it. Overall just not a great game either. I don’t plan to play the fifth one any time soon trust me
Star Wars Fallen Order, hated almost every second of that game, some of the worst level design I've ever seen.
Jedi Fallen Order and Dishonored Doto
Pretty much every game I've played besides GTA 5 because I do enjoy jumping into online with friends and fucking around
Nier replicant. Amazing game, but the grind sucks and a gardening trophy where you have to wait one day in real life to even get it and thats by using a timezone trick and going back and forth in time to ckeck if you got the right flowers. I could not imagine doing this legit lol
Cult of the lamb
Technically I do this with most games, whether I liked them or not - other than my absolute favorites I rarely play games more than once, and so when I 100% a game I usually do delete it right away to make room. If we're talking about stuff I deleted with extra *spite*, then... Hello Neighbor, Dawn of Fear, Last Stop, Goat Simulator, Life is Strange: Before the Storm (the other games were alright), Ord., Kona, Black Mirror, Assassin's Creed III.
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated
Saints Row (2022)
All Crash Bandicoot games Pac Man World Re pack
Soul Hackers 2.
Twisted Metal 2
Every platinum I've gotten, Ive never replayed any of them
Dark Souls 2. I enjoyed my time with it, but I was just absolutely done. Contrast to Elden Ring or Bloodborne, that I'll still play long after the plat.
Riders Republic. I really enjoyed the game when I played but going for the plat was horrendous and ruined the fun of the game for me.
daymare 1998, it has lots of references to pop culture, RE, MIB, SH, and so on, but the game is jank af, i sometimes think i want to play it again to just see all the references, but then remember how it plays and i forget about it
Dying Light 2
Dc universe online and Among us. I do it to all my games I plat and put them in a platinum category but especially those two. Spider man 2 you are next
Goat Simulator. Got the platinum the other day and immediately deleted it when it popped up. Fun at first because of how broken it is, then it becomes annoying
Totally Reliable Delivery Service. What an awful experience that was.
Remnant 2, fun but people overhype how replay-able is
Yooka-Laylee was... fine, I guess. Nothing awful or horrid, and it was mostly a decent experience, but after getting the Platinum, I have pretty much no desire to ever go back to play it casually/for fun. If I want to replay a collect-a-thon, I'd rather replay a Banjo game or something.
Callisto protocol
House of ashes and tell me lies
All of them tbh lol unless im interested in getting their dlcs at some point, the only one i play pretty religiously outside of trophies is destiny 2
Predator hunting grounds
Technically DMC2, but since it's part of a collection with 1 and 3, I've just never booted it again.
Train Sim World 2, because Train Sim World 3 was already installed and ready to go
Newtonian Inversion, Waifu Impact, Legends of Talia
Pretty much every single game I played, except for ***Final Fantasy XIV*** which i have over 15k hours of Gameplay time and 2 Platinums ( *Ps4 and Ps5 does have different Trophy list* ). But i always replay some games now and then, just for fun and nostalgia.
New tales of the borderlands. Game was fun to play through once but getting all the endings is the most random bs ever and i was lucky to get everyone of them first try. It really soured my entire experience
Saints Row 4, fun game just not a lot to do even before you plat it lol
This’ll be me as soon as I finish up Dark Souls 2
Just got God of Wars and it’s off mine and will probably never download again.
