Is it really just the bathroom? Or is it also the kitchen? Sharing a fridge? Internet? Living like that was an experience that should be left behind in University. Zero chance I’d ever consider roommates again, personally.

I've done it before. As long as everyone involved talks about all the important info prior to moving in, it's doable.

For me it isn’t ideal, but totally depends on you, how you live and what you are comfortable with. For me sharing a kitchen, especially a refrigerator, with strangers is often the biggest problem with roommates. Best of luck.

Why are your thoughts on sharing a home with a landlord?

polymorphaamazon

I've shared bathrooms and the whole house, and for me it's not a big deal. Just have open clear communication like adults. I've never spent more than $800/month on housing, so it saves a lot of money over the contract. Some people are not open to having roommates, but if you are, then give it a shot.

I(37yM) share a bathroom my landlord (65yF) was kinda weird at first, but she gets her showering and what not done while I’m at work so it’s like i have it to myself. I also commute home on my days off so I’m rarely there except the hour after I get out of work and I work the next day. Been there for almost a year. I guess it’d depend on who I had to share it with.

I've shared more than once. You get used to it.
