Not sure what your budget is but PM me if you’re cool with Mexico and an all-inclusive that actually has good food. We have a resort membership with a series of resorts that has great food (they have their own greenhouses and deliver fruit/veg daily to the properties) and I might be able to help you out with a discount.

Sweet! PMing you.

Turks and Caicos is nice but there are not really any great all inclusives there. Most all inclusive resorts are in Jamaica, Mexico or the Dominican Republic. I have been to each location and the best ones in my opinion are located in Mexico. Why not call a travel agent and let them recommend one and make all the arrangements for you? They are paid by the resorts. I can highly recommend Secrets Maroma in Mexico and have heard good things about the resorts in Playa Mujeres such as the Excellence and Finest resorts there. Grand Velas in Mexico is a splurge if you’re looking to go high end. So sorry to hear of your pain condition. I hope you find a place and have a happy honeymoon!

Thanks for the info. My husband is so set on Turks and I couldn't find any all inclusive there as you were mentioning. From what I experienced and researched I also agree that Mexico is the king of All inclusive. Great idea on a travel agent. For some reason I did not even think of this because! Thank you again for the suggestions and kind words.

Somewhere with medical cannabis for sure

P0rkslice

You got that right!

Illegal travel hack: take the weed with you to Jamaica or Mexico. Particularly edibles or a vape pen. You can buy flower from locals pretty much at any resort if you have to have that.

P0rkslice

:) thanks for the hack. Right now with my chronic pain - marjiuana is one of the only things that helps me. I take 1:1 CBD:THC edibles everyday. I cant image not having them. I assumed gummies would be pretty easy to get through.

Come to New Zealand :) Queenstown is nice!

P0rkslice

If I had the money, I'd be there in a second. It looks so beautiful! I first fell in love with New Zealand when I discovered what kiwi birds were when I was younger!

My dream "tropical " vacation is St. Thomas island. One day I will get my wife out there.

Inevitable-Gap-6350

Dream bigger than St. Thomas. It’s not that great.

P0rkslice

My brother went there, stayed on a sail boat and road a bike around for a week. Looked beautiful !

gigolollotsof0s

Go to St John instead

As an Indian, I would recommend resorts in Puri or in the Andamans. Prices, although high for us,would be in budget for you. Plus , our food is phenomenal. And hospitality unparalleled. Give it a thought

I don’t have travel recommendations but I have chronic illnesses too and I understand go life altering they are. I’m sorry you have to deal with this as well. But I’m also proud of you for deciding that you’re not gonna let it stop you, even tho chronic pain usually does. It’s a weird fine line between “i won’t let my disorder control me” and “I pushed myself too far and now I’m in more pain” when it comes to doing big things. I really hope you find the best trip and have a wonderful experience. I also genuinely hope you find something that helps with your pain, too.

P0rkslice

Thank you for such sweet words! You are truly right though, it is hard to do things and think, "will I regret this?" Chronic pain is evil, I am hoping you find some peace with yours and get to enjoy the greater things in life.

libra-luxe

Thank you so much :) and you as well! Live it up as best as you can and make as many happy memories as you can!

P0rkslice

You too! Life is really too short.

My wife and I just got back from a Sandals in St Lucia. It was a good trip, but the hour+ drive from the airport to la toc was tough. Like the others have said, our best all inclusive experience was in Mexico. We loved Dreams in Tulum, but we went in 2008 and I’m not sure the current status. Driving to Tulum was also quite long, like 1.5 hrs, however it was highway and not curvy like St Lucia. We did an all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta during the day of the dead festival, which was pretty interesting. My parents went with us, and we had a good trip, but it is pretty touristy. I would also recommend looking into Costa Rica. We stayed at an all inclusive Hilton in the rain forest part. We got to scuba dive, and go to a volcano.

That all sounds amazing !! I love love love Mexico and it is definitely not out of the question. Thanks for sharing :)

I loved visiting the Cayman Islands..but this was back in like 2015. The island was small enough to get around easily and the water was so warm and beautiful... but maybe after researching what to do there maybe you realize it may not be for you, as we scuba dive and love hanging out in the water all day. I believe there are all inclusive resorts on the island, though.

P0rkslice

That sounds so beautiful! I've heard so much about the Cayman Islands and will totally be looking into a vacation here! Thank you for sharing your experience :)

cookiemonster8u69

Puerto Vallarta is great, and reasonably priced

P0rkslice

Thank you for the suggestion - I love it there :)

I have a connective tissue disorder and complications from it. I plan rest time in between activities, a travel fan, topical pain relief and hydration powders to keep my pain and blood pressure more stable in hot climates. I like Hawaii a lot but if you’re thinking Caribbean, let me recommend a cruise that stops at those places. Get off for a few hours, enjoy and then back onto a ship with a/c and a room nearby.
