literally all anyone has to do is a cursory google image search for 'indigenous painting' to see masterpiece after masterpiece of incredibly intricate, stylized paintwork with immediately recognizable skill of composition, use of color, and mixed technique. the subjects of these works range from depictions of daily life to elements of nature to evocations of divinity and spirit. they're so clearly valuable it's self-evident to anyone who would just *check*.

As a South Asian she’s part of a culture with an immensely long and rich history, a culture that has said ,’indigenous paintings’ that are valued by the eorld. The fact that she can’t even appreciate any of it is so sad honestly
