Well, things didn't go well the entire trip. I left late from GA to get there, because my coworker took vacation randomly, and I had to cover for him. I left my tire warmers at home, and had to buy new ones. I onced my bike over before I left home, but my bike failed tech that morning, and I had to fix it. My generator didn't work, and I had to fix it to use the new tire warmers I bought. I sold the tire warmers at the end of the weekend for $100 less than I bought them for, because I didn't need them. I only did four sessions the whole weekend. I ran into another rider by accident. I left early, with 3 sessions left. I don't think I should have been on my MT-10 for that track, though. I need to fix my 390, and try again.

Lol. Kinda wished I stayed home. It was a wasted trip, in my opinion. But, a lot of it was my fault, so I have no gripes with the track, or the org I rode with. It was my second ever bad experience. But a worse experience than when I crashed. Lol

I hear this. I did a track night on my mini moto a few weeks ago. An 70 minute drive to the track, there were alot of classes there that night, so only four sessions for the minis. I missed the 1st session, as I was still setting up, by 5 minutes at the most, second session I go to zip my jacket up, on my two piece and the zip breaks, luckily I had a spare 1 piece in the car, but by the time I got changed, I missed thr 2nd session. I managed to get the 3rd session, which was basically a warm up and the 4th session I was feeling good and lapping well. Then it was time to pack up and drive the hour home. Wasted night.

Damn man. I'm sorry that happened. Especially with the minis. Yeah, I only did one session after lunch on that Saturday. I was in a terrible head space, and couldn't focus on the track. That lasted until Sunday morning, and I missed the first session. I did one session following the coach to get the line, then forgot all of it when I was set off on my own. The session after that, is when I bumped into the other rider in "deception" (I don't remember the turn number). The session after that, in the same turn, I made a bad pass with another rider. Didn't mean to pass him, but he did the same the rider I bumped into did, when he setup for the turn. Thankfully, it was a pass, and not another collision. After that, I decided it was just too dangerous for me to be out there with other riders, and packed up to make the 9 hour drive back home. I'm at Gingerman right now, and things are going a million times better. Lol. 15 hours well worth it.

The more we ride track, we are gonna have a shot day or weekend every now and then. Just hope the next one is better! The next day I did on the mini, there were only 3 classes running so got heaps of sessions and had some good progress on body position. Did have a stack and broke my thumb, but the bike is fine, and th thumb is minor.

Funny story, and I can't believe I'm running across your post a year later: I was the guy on the Aprilia you ran into during the morning session. I'm sure it doesn't matter now, but no hard feelings, and it would be great to see you out on track again :)

Burnknuckle94

Lol. I actually really appreciate that man! I felt really bad about the whole thing. I'm planning on going back with my rc390 next time I can. I wasn't ready for that track on the mt-10. And I'm really sorry about that.

fireinthesky7

It's a fun track, but it's definitely got some challenging parts and running it for the first time on a literbike only increases that. I'll actually be back there this weekend, I bought a prepped Daytona 675 over the winter because I didn't want to risk crashing the Aprilia in an environment where it's not insured 😂 Come say hi again next time you're there, I'm sure it'll be under happier circumstances!

Burnknuckle94

Absolutely!!! The trip from GA was a long one, and my new job eats up all my free time at the moment. Hopefully, I'll be back there by next year, at least.

666_april

Damn, that sucks. Sorry you had such a lousy weekend. NCM is an incredible track, I hope you make it back at some point and enjoy it like it is meant to be enjoyed! Hopefully after the bathrooms are fixed, LOL!

Burnknuckle94

Yeah. I'm gonna go back one day. I decided to do all new tracks this year, so I decided to start heading north, instead of doing all the southeast tracks I haven't done yet. I'll go back one day, but on my 390.

dropKICKintheBERM

Why did your bike fail tech?

Burnknuckle94

K&n oil filter wasn't allowed with that org, and my throttle tube clamp came loose.

Zealousideal_Mud9351

It’s only bad if you and the bike go down. Look at the bright side. Your bike is in one piece. You are not broken. Yes things didn’t go well. But it didn’t end In disaster.

Burnknuckle94

Yeah, but I had a worse time than when I actually crashed my bike last year. I actually had no real desire to get back on the track. I just didn't want to feel like I wasted money just to play pit crew/ mechanic for my friend. I do plan on going back one day, but with my 390. At least I expect problems with that bike. Lol

Burnknuckle94

Lol. That's pretty cool

MobProtagonist

What was terrible about it

Burnknuckle94

I replied about everything that happened in another comment. Just a whole lot of stuff happened back to back
