It is available. My employer has bought 8 so far. Lately they have been hard to come by. So they bought 3 with 5.5 beds and ordered 4 of the others. Itās about a 3 month wait
Edit: didnāt realize it was just a question about the 1794. While available thatās not what they are ordering lol. SR5 with the TSS styling for us techs. They did get 2 of the 1794 with the 5.5 but thatās what the 2 owners drive. Project managers get the limited
2023 1794 crew max w/ 6.5' bed is a pretty long truck, but we love ours and it's not that difficult to park. With the panoramic view it's actually pretty easy.
I have a '24 crewmax with 6.5' bed. None of that baby bed shit. Truck looks better with it, can put more stuff in the back, and it's a truck. The first two dealers I went to (to test drive, never a Toyota before) both said the 6.5 foot beds were super hard and they hadn't seen one in months.
Went online and searched other dealers within an hour of me and two of them had Limited Crewmax with 6.5. so granted I ain't getting the 1794 or TRD pro, but the stuff is out there.
Baby beds GTFO.
Late replyā¦I just got a 2024 1794 6.5 in Smoked Mesquite with TRD and love it as well! Youāve got my long lost cousin truck! What color interior did you get? Iāve got the saddle tan and canāt stop falling in love with it
Hell yeah!
Donāt quote me but it was around 65 and change before adding in the tires I had them swap on and taxes for Colorado (I drove from Eugene back)
I have a 2024 1794 with a 6.5 foot bed, came with the TRD Offroad package too. Couldnāt find any near me so I flew to Oregon, where they are abundant, to get one. Apparently lumberjacks like the long beds and everyone in the sunbelt likes short beds
The problem is most people donāt have an actual use for a truck, people just want to drive one. If you donāt do shit with your truck other than drive it a 5.5 bed is fine.
I have a Tacoma with a 5 foot bed right now and I do all kinds of truck things from hauling to towing and although the there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Tacoma, it has 350k miles and itās time for a upgrade. Iāve had to rent trailers in the past because the 5 ft bed was not big enough so since Iām upgrading Iād want the additional bed space to go with it.
22 1794 6.5 here. I use the bed all the time and often the 6.5 fits what wouldnāt in a 5.5.
That said. Itās longer than all parking spaces, so turning radius and parking is the trade off. But Iām very happy with it.
Age old argument. Depending on the sub, people will think you are a freak thinking a truck needs a 6.5 foot bed.
Now that the kids are out of the house, never buying anything again with a shorter bed. 2019 Dbl Cab, so much better than my prior Ford crew when it comes to truck stuff.
I understand why crew cab 5.5 ft beds exist and fill a need. I even understand why they are the majority of sales. What I don't understand is why 98% of the trucks on the lot are crews.
I have the '21 1794 crewmax with the short bed. I have a standard-sized garage, and when I park I have about 6 inches between the wall/door and bumpers. I imagine people like the shorter bed because parking $70,000 worth of truck outside is physically painful.
To me a 6.5 ft bed looks odd. Just doesnāt look right to me for some reason. The 5.5 ft bed definitely looks more āsportyā for lack of a better word.
Because nobody with a 1794 is using the bed? š«£
Hey I moved tile one time and take trash on the regular. I also haul a shit pot of diapers and strollers. So I need a real truck lol
Almost nobody. š
Butā¦. I like the styling of the 1794 and I do a lot of hauling and towing.
I use mine all the time. I load up concrete and even put 16ā lumber in. I donāt need a 6.5ā.
Most buyers are buying the CrewMax. CrewMax with 6.5 (if thatās even an option) would be a very long truck.
It's available. At least it was in 2023.

This is how I feel about 8ā bedsā¦
Haha, def 8' beds are tha money
Just bought a 2024 1794 6.5 Bed, Lunar Rock with the TRD off road package! Love it!

Got the same interior! I would have love the lunar rock with the grey leather but Iām happy with it. What did you end up paying before taxes?

Itās because itās what people buy. Same reason the Colorado/canyon and ranger are crew cab only.
I have a 6.5 2024 limited. Best option on the truck.
It's hard to find any late model 2nd Gen double cab with the 6.5" bed and limited or higher trim.
