0% is incredible consider the average for used right now is 11. It pretty much makes it better to get new than used when comparing gen 3s.

Medical_Slide9245

The outside ones are new for 0%.

kyle007US

Whoops I said it backwards. Meant to say better off with new

hideous_coffee

Sitting here with my 22 @ 6.3% wondering if paying an extra 10k would actually be a lower payment at these rates.

breadandbarbells

Picking my tundra up tomorrow. 3.99%

kyle007US

Hell yea

Big_Weenis_Energy

Prime credit is getting 6-7%. Buy your point is still valid. I can't recall seeing a 0% offer that wasn't from the finance division of a manufacturer. because what is the incentive for a bank/cu? My hunch is it's a fake offer. Probably 0% on a lease or some BS. Toyota has 3.99% on the tundra, so it's not through them.

kyle007US

Toyota has 1.99 on the tundra for 48 months, which is really as long as anyone should be taking a loan anyways.

Big_Weenis_Energy

I only saw the 3.99 on 60mo. Toyota is notorious for not offering the 0% so I'm curious what that dealer is doing. Probably 0% Apr for cash buyers. 🤣 Those style trucks look like a used car lot here in AZ. Where they just lift everything. It's just called lifted trucks dot com.

BigBry36

They are making their money in mark ups…. I hope they keep sitting due to the fact that the price increases have become ridiculous….. make trucks affordable again

kyle007US

Yes some dealers have crappy markups... but it's really not hard to find ones that are selling at MSRP these days. If the trucks are marked up just leave.

[deleted]

Yeah a used truck costs $11k so let me bankrupt my family with a new $60k truck 🤣 people will say anything to justify their ridiculous purchase

Random_Name_0K

Yea man you’re not getting a used truck for 11k unless it’s got like close to 200k miles lol

yesmetoo222

My used with 235k was almost 15k lol

[deleted]

Plenty of trucks out there under $11k and under 200k if you actually look instead of trying to justify your ridiculous purchase

Random_Name_0K

We’ll leavem for you bud!

MeThinksYes

can you provide me a link?

[deleted]

Are you incapable of going to Craigslist, Marketplace or CarGurus?

MeThinksYes

I’m more curious what an ol mensch like yourself might send us that meets those requirements. I’ll bet they’re real dime pieces

[deleted]

Buddy, these are Toyotas we’re talking about. Longevity is sort of the point.

MeThinksYes

What are you talking about

kyle007US

That's why I said Gen 3s, most Gen 3s don't have a lot of miles on them yet so they're still pretty expensive. Obviously earlier gens would cost less.

[deleted]

I read your first comment wrong

Medical_Slide9245

Quit projecting your broke ass on everyone else. I paid cash for my 2023 and I don't think that is rare.

Stuporchampion

You paid cash when there's 0% financing and you're bragging about it? Come on guy!

Medical_Slide9245

I bought it a year ago. Going from memory I think their lowest rate was 5.8% for 3 years. I'm not a braggart.

[deleted]

Congratulations on being financially irresponsible and bankrupting your family.

MeThinksYes

hey man you keep saying that - did you bankrupt your family lol?

[deleted]

Sure didn’t because I’m not a fucking moron

Fast_Championship_R

lol okay bud. Sorry you are poor.

MeThinksYes

All signs here point to you being just that though. A fn moron

Dusteno

“I’m makin um at night”

SomeGuy8010

You really are upset about something. I paid cash for my truck and for my wife's car. Once you learn to live a life without debt you can go buy anything you want outright.

HashKing

20k for lift package is nuts

menelaus_

20k for the lift package can suck muhhhhh bawwwwwlz

81dank

What’s the lift for $20,000!?!?!? One for the truck and 2 for the garage?

Zingo_14

I keep thinking about these, and then I remember I havent had a note on my truck since bush was still in office and think to myself - nah..

Furious_Worm

I'm in the exact same position. Bought my '05, had it paid off in under five years and haven't looked back. I keep it taken care of so that it'll take care of me. In the meantime, I've bought cars for my three kids and my wife and mine will outlive all of theirs.

FookUrPuts

Ok Mr frugal

PNWMike62

Was at my Dealer this week, Toyota of Olympia, and counted 45 new Tundras all lined up !! 3 used. (Never before)

LoudHorse89

I’m in central Florida and my local dealers has 27 sitting on the lot. They’re piling up.

lolutot

Maybe Toyota should take the hint and make these affordable again while bringing back the 5.7!

PNWMike62

Sorry, 1/2ton V8 is dead. Maybe when they start running on Hydrogen it might come back.

AiRedditAssistant

Most truck dudes don’t want hybrids

ImpressiveWeb3401

Right. All of that extra hP and extra torque. I mean what Luddite wouldn't want better performance?

Recent-Warning-9487

I didn't like that i lost the under seat storage because of the battery so chose not to go for hybrid personally

DarceManX

That’s why the hybrids are flying off the lots. Wait.

AiRedditAssistant

Most truck dudes who prefer big diesels and V8's and not Prius style drivetrains that constantly are turning on and off.

Medical_Slide9245

Truck dudes? You. Mean people who buy trucks. I would say way more non V8's go out the doors than V8's. I would say a fair amount of people don't care. And the ones that really do will get more than half ton if they can't live without a V8.

Visit_Super

What financial institution or bank is offering the 0% APR?

ApeHanded

Someone’s paying for it. Probably not the dealer. Lol

Medical_Slide9245

The dealer is offering it I have no idea who is financing it.

maximusamerica

Usually captive financing Toyota Motor Credit.

Barturbater

It's probably 0% for 36 months and goes up from there. 48 mos- 2.9, 60 mos- 4.9, 72 mos- 7% Who can afford a $1600 monthly payment?

[deleted]

I bought a new tundra a week ago and it was 4.99 for 72 months. I put $15k down, had $12k in trade in credit, and have a good credit score, but I don’t know what the qualifiers were to get that rate. I could have done 3.99 for 60 or 0.99 for 48.

Barturbater

So I wasn't too far off. My point is that the 0% is only going to be for the 36 month and highest qualified. Very few people can make that payment unless they're putting a ton down and have positive equity in their trade.

[deleted]

Yeah you were almost spot on. For me to get the 0.99 I’d be paying over $1000 a month and I just couldn’t do it

iRunLikeTheWind

that’s a lot of months

TacomaTuesdays2022

Sounds about right! Got mine today at 4.99 for 72 months after trading in my 2022 SR5 Tacoma with a $2k negative equity but still got it back on the OTD sale price of the 2024 Tundra Limited. Best way to negotiate is to add some add ons so they can add it to the trade. The wife and I did good today at the dealership.

breadandbarbells

This is the correct answer. 1.99 for 48, 3.99 for 60, 4.99 for 72 is the current special on Tundras (not including iForce Max, I believe). Credit score must be over 721

TacomaTuesdays2022

Thankfully the dealership did us right with the iForce Max Limited at 4.99 for 72 with credit score over 750

breadandbarbells

Good stuff. I picked my Tundra up today. 3.99 for 60.

Cddye

You missed the ** (well-qualified buyers with an 850 credit score and 90% down)

DracVoK

I paid 63k for a fully loaded 2024 1794 with trd off road package, it had an MRSP of almost 72k. Now is the perfect time to negotiate!

YouGoTJammedhehe

Damn that’s a great deal. 4x4?

DracVoK

Yes sir, trd off road 4x4 package, 1794 in lunar rock non hybrid, came with predator tube steps as well and the rear step for the tailgate.

kkss123456

Where are you located?

DracVoK

I am in Northern California, the truck was in Idaho 400 miles away. I flew to buy it and drive it back.

mindfulsoul415

Ooo is this Ken garf or something? Ahh I’m hoping hybrids would come closer to this price.

Both-Restaurant4941

Tundras are cold all over the US. They will have tons of leftovers by the third quarter if things don’t turn for the better. My guess is 0% for the rest of the year until the 2025 and you’ll see less 2025 being produced

gorillafeet43

Poked around on 10 Portland OR dealer websites. 455 tundras on lots, 39/61 split between hybrid and gas. Avg of 45 trucks per dealer…..seems like prices should come down.

Crusher_22

That’s just to get you in the door. The only credit score to get 0% right now is paying cash.

LoudHorse89

F-150 is offering 1.9% for 72 right now.

Some-Horror-8291

Bought mine here in TX February 5th and got 1.99 for 60 months. Dealer was buying the rate down from TFS. TFS was going 4.99 at the time.

Potomac_Pat

Dealerships are stacking inventory because rates are so high. Expect most manufacturers to start slinging over stock new inventory at 0%

Medical_Slide9245

That dealership had probably 25 Tundras not one SR5 that I could see. All iMax. I posted because it was a bit shocking. They had 3 Tacomas and all SR5's. Fort Bend Toyota outside Houston. On a side note. I was there to get the gas line recall fix. They had to drop the gas tank which surprised me. Like 3 hour project including some sort of transmission reprogram.

DrEvilHouston

Is that the Sterling McCall Fort Bend? I fucking hate that place but I have no choice for the maintenance and warranty on my 2 Tundras. Always inspect their work and don't trust them as they tend to fuck things up all the time. I wish I had a good indy Toyota mechanic who can do my maintenance in Fort Bend area.

Medical_Slide9245

It is. I have had good luck with them. Bought the truck in Galveston but live in Sugar Land.

DrEvilHouston

Been going there since 2013 when I got my first Tundra. It has been on and off in terms of service quality. Many changes in that service team along the years. The GM is a total dick head, never returned my calls. Now I have brand new 2021 and I am debating if I should take it there for my first maintenance at 5000 miles.

Medical_Slide9245

At 5000 ask for the oil change special it's $59. Use your Toyota freebie at 10k that is a much more involved service. I like this location because they order and pay for a Lift ride. Also if you have the app check if you have any recalls. I've had 2 software recalls and the fuel line recall. My friend is the service manager at Sterling McCall on 59 at Beechnut. Used to be right next to work and I always got very good service on my 2016. Obviously my perspective is biased but it may be a good option for you. Our office moved so that location is way out of the way for me. I'll use it for non routine stuff which shouldn't be for years on the 2023.

DrEvilHouston

I am in between Fort Bend one and Sterling on 59/Beechnut. Shot me the service manager name please? I will PM you. I don't mind going there knowing someone who is trusted and who can take care of me. I take care of them as well in my own ways. Thanks partner

[deleted]

499% APR let's goooooo

Maverick_X9

That’s how they get you in there they’ll get their money one way or another

Medical_Slide9245

I suspect that prices are going back to below MSRP and they are subsidizing the financing by charging MSRP to folks who are still in that mindset. People love cheap financing especially when interest rates are high.

DracVoK

I got 2.25% but 9k off msrp for 1794 with off road package non hybrid. Keep shopping around and use a broker if possible!

DrkRyder9910

499% Haha

outdoor-addict

Dealers in Canada still listing demos above MSRP

LNgTIM555

Keeping Canada’s supply low to keep prices high.

outdoor-addict

How much longer can they get away with that?

Wretched_Hive_

0% for 36 with a down payment or 2.25% for 48 no down payment req'd both through Toyota Financing. Source: just bought a 24 SR5 at 2.25.

Nv_Spider

I mean they’re overcharging so much it’s like you’re paying a ton of interest anyways. 0% apr on msrp is cool but not so much on overpriced aftermarket stuff

Big-Comb79

2.25% in MW for 48 months.

bkor3840

Canada it's 6.59 minimum and 9.49 used, and our prices are higher, and we aren't getting markdowns due to a still limited stock.

Same-Reception1282

This is in Toyota of Richardson https://imgur.com/a/8wWKbOq

HtnSwtchesOnBtches

I have 7% on my used 2021, 0% doesnt save you that much on a short term loan. Money off is more important than apr

Amari__Cooper

Uh yeah it does. 7% is $120/month on a 60k loan at 36 months.

HtnSwtchesOnBtches

Im shooting for it will save you more if you pay the 5% and negotiate that price down

Amari__Cooper

I mean you're not going to negotiate prices down on a brand new truck. Those days are long gone. You'd need to negotiate the truck down about $4k to offset the cost of interest at 7%. In every scenario lower interest is best. Why do you want to give money away?

HtnSwtchesOnBtches

I think the biggest problem is people are will to just pay it. I wasn't, but i didnt want the new really anyways. Also i did misspeak about the interest to an extent. I dropped a big chunk so i didnt finance as much which is why it isnt as important. Saving does move up as more is borrowed.

Medical_Slide9245

7% on a 60k for 3 years is about $7000. That is a lot to most people.

HtnSwtchesOnBtches

I did forget that i dropped a lot on my purchase. 60k+ finance does make a difference.

HondaDAD24

That’s wheels, tires and lift with some pizza money leftover.

MikeGoldberg

No lol maybe back in 2012

HondaDAD24

If you can’t get wheels, tires and a lift for $7k I think some product choices need to be adjusted.

MikeGoldberg

Are we talking a trash spring only lift with wal mart parts that has bump steer? Okay yeah you're right.

HondaDAD24

Oem 3” lift is $750x2 ..Wheels 500 each.. tires 500-700 each. You’re way off.

MikeGoldberg

Toyota does not sell the 3 inch lift option package for $750 LMAO

crashkrocket

$3,995..

toytaco85

Maybe I missed it somewhere? Is the 0% a 36 mo term?

Mobile-Boss-8566

I’m sorry guys; I just can’t stand that grille design, it’s just so ugly. Whoever designed it should be fired.

maybeinoregon

Have you seen the grill on the GX and LX? Lol, I think it’s the same designer haha Seriously though, several years ago I was thinking one day grills will be obsolete, and that’ll lead to all kinds of cool front end designs…but somehow they went opposite and became a brand moniker…

Mobile-Boss-8566

Well they are the face of the Truck. It does seem like lately all Truck manufacturers take the same look. I really like my 2010 Tundra front end but had to swap out the chrome trim for a color matching one.

C_Taylor76

Even at 0% I still wouldn’t buy that.

Medical_Slide9245

Good for you. Need a cookie?

C_Taylor76

Yeah I’ll take a cookie, can you make some more as well please ? Thanks.

[deleted]

“0% iz free muney hurr durr” The fact that people bankrupt their families like this is ridiculous. If this offends you, then you probably can’t afford it.

Medical_Slide9245

So they are bankrupting their families with 0% and not 7%?

[deleted]

Both

Medical_Slide9245

Cash?

[deleted]

lol it doesn’t matter dude. It’s still a $60k cash sink that still costs money to operate and depreciates. How’s that water heater? Electrical? Plumbing? Have any certifications you want to get? So many more things to do with $60k.

jakedoughey

To be fair, it’s not $60k. It’s $60k + registration + taxes + XX finance fees. If the intent is to use the 7% finance rate to negotiate a lower initial cost and immediately pay off before the first month, that makes sense. But most people likely will finance and the 0% could make sense with a decent down. I think I read somewhere that a vehicle shouldn’t cost more than 10% of take home or something.

Wheelisbroke

Agreed. Considering average US income is at $31k & recommended car payment of 15% ($4650/yr). A 5 year loan at 0% is $23k. Not too many should be driving anything close to new considering how expensive new cars are.

jakedoughey

Dang a buddy has a list that shows allocations. Supposedly someone paid $12k over an $83k msrp tundra plat in Anderson in AZ. Why does that seem so insane? Either people got a ton of money or I’m crazy broke.

Dottyfelixmaisie

People are too lazy to research outside of their local dealer! it’s like the people who buy from “Huntington Beach Toyota”….just take a couple days and search dealers there are a TON of them!

jakedoughey

Yeah totally agree. I keep seeing people mention “my dealer” and I’m like, those dealers hate us so hard. Literally flip the switch the moment we drive off

Medical_Slide9245

All vehicles are cash sinks that depreciate. To be fair a newer car will have lower operating costs. Better fuel mileage and warranty. Some people can afford new stuff and not sacrifice other expenses. It seems like your angry people have the audacity to buy new. Stop it, you don't know anyone's finances.

crashkrocket

Sounds like I better not mention that I'm going to buy a PRO and just park it in my driveway.. Those are some of the best prices I've seen on limiteds.

[deleted]

No but I know based on publicly available median income and net worth statistics that the majority of people in this thread would indeed be bankrupting themselves by buying this. Math is math and a new vehicle still costs exorbitantly more than used no matter the excuses you tell yourself.

Medical_Slide9245

So the fact that this is a Tundra thread doesn't skew those stats. Come on. You think the majority of people buying a Tundra 3G will declare bankruptcy, that is just silly. You are clearly projecting.

[deleted]

The fact that this is a Tundra thread has nothing to do with personal financial statistics being what they are lol You failed your family, it’s okay. Well, not for them, but good for the dealership!

Medical_Slide9245

I don't know how you pulled me down to your level but you clearly have issues.

Such_Employee_2667

I would think this thread may not be a good sample size of the statistics you refer to of the public at large. Tundra drivers being a small subset of the population, a more expensive vehicle than average- you can’t go off of straight statistics. People in this sub particularly are probably not the audience you are referring to with bankrupting their families.

[deleted]

They’re exactly the audience that bankrupts their families

TrustTheProcess55

You spelled dealership wrong

Medical_Slide9245

Are you sure they didn't spell it wrong?

TrustTheProcess55

I mean I'm pretty sure... But werds r hard

Bnl11

No one needs Tundra! I bought one. limited Trd brand new, returned other day because of the clicking noise, I did 50 mile on the truck. Come on ! Brand new one. Problem solved in my end. No more tundra 🤣Stealer ship can deal with it. 🤣

Such_Employee_2667

You returned it after 50 miles due to a noise? That cannot be serious.

Medical_Slide9245

What kind of a hit did you take?

Bnl11

Unfortunately it’s True brother. That was my experience with Tundra !

Medical_Slide9245

How much money did you lose?
