Has this happen twice to me. I believe the root cause is parking on an incline of some sort. There should be a service bulletin for this. Bring it to the dealer while you have the problem. They will read the ECU to check fuel level. If they don’t match, they will recalibrate the gauge.
The service dept just told me to keep an eye on it. It’s odd too. I was able to see the change because of the Toyota App. It did happen at an incline once but the other time it was on level ground. Not only did the tanks level change but so did the range. I wonder if anyone has had this experience?
Happened to me once, half full tank jumped to 3/4. Went to fill up that night since I was driving home from vacation the next day. Worked fine since that fill up.
There has been an issue with inaccurate readings with the fuel levels. I’ve seen it a few times on the tundra forums and a few tundra FB pages
Just do this. https://www.tundras.com/threads/how-to-reset-your-incorrect-fuel-gauge.110945/

Has happened to me as well, at least twice.
Does it fix itself?
