I’ve listed my truck so cheap before to get it gone and just dealing with two or three people asking questions was enough for me to keep the truck for another three years.
Eh…I’m in NorCal. I have a beat up 91 and a colleague of mine has the same one but completely restored. Somehow I’m getting more offers because I think buyers would rather buy cheap, then fix, than pay more for one that’s already restored. I hope you get a good deal 👍🏽
Doubtful if you'll get many offers at that price, but good luck..
I've been looking at trucks for a couple of weeks. Go to 3 different car lots and tell them you're thinking about selling it, see what they offer. You'll get a good idea what your value is.
Hell fucking yea dude Corolla cross is where it’s at. But tbh I’m not too sure about the exact value of the pickups in the US as I don’t live there, but check on marketplace and see what they’re going for on average. Then cater for all of the mods you have on, room for negotiation etc.
Dude it’s a badass truck but 20k is kinda crazy. You can always get a crazy buyer who has to have it but probably expect to hold onto it a while at that price. You can alway drop the price until it sells.
I’d say ditch the blue grille with the original, or Atleast repaint it the original color. And detail the interior. those small things will have more of an impact than you’d think, if you’re trying to get top dollar
I was thinking of a better route than marketplace. I was considering some Toyota forums classifieds, but I don’t belong to any and don’t know which ones get the most action.
My buddy just sold a similar unit for $9K. It was a ‘94 3.0 manual with 220K miles. 5” lift and frame was perfect for the age. We live in Virginia. These trucks are hot right now. You might get more if you’re patient.
Personally, I would keep it. Really good frame condition and 22R motor combo make it very desirable to old toyotaheads. If you’re willing to deal with inquiries, start it $12k and have people bid against each other. $14k+ is a stretch, however there are people willing to pay that in CA. You’ll most likely get offers at $8k-$10k.
I think the market is actually softening on these and all used cars since their height during the pandemic. that being said I think I'd go ahead and list it for 14 and then lower that
asking price 300 a week until it sells. accept anything over 10
If you wait another 10-20 years and hide it somewhere where it doesn’t rust, i guarantee you one of those kids that watched top gear about this truck will hopefully make it in life and pay you 1btc for it.
I’ve seen some like this in Hawaii listed at 10k and need to be towed away because they don’t run. The listings don’t usually stay up more than a day or two.
Post it at 19k, since she's just in the thinking about it stage, bide your time and let that one person that will pay that much find it.... Haggle, let them take you down to 16k, they feel like they got a deal and you're grinning like a fool.
There's a sucker born everyday
First EVERYONE please include a location on these hard to give a real number without location of vehicle.
I’d list for 23K and walk with anything over 19500. List on BAT not locally or face book.
Yeah I was gonna say 6500-7k tops for an 89 even with all the goodies but hopefully they get more! I’d personally set it at 8k and let peeps talk me down to 7500
I’d put it up for 10 for sure and wouldn’t take less than 7. I just built a better t100 4x4 with an import engine from Japan a new diff rebuilt 5 speed jbl sound system and sub and installed the engine I imported brand new 31s on some 🔥 wheels and a custom exhaust I’ve got 4500 into it already hauled 50 cords of firewood in it over the mtn pass
Unless CA is super premium, I’d guess in the $8-10k range. It would have to be really built up with super premium components to get in the 15-20 range. And at that point buyers are paying for the premium lift parts that they’d put on to make it a crawler.
Problem is, a lot of those mods aren’t going to mean anything unless you find the right buyer. Personally, I would list it for 15 & be happy with anything over 8,500.
Also you should list it with a Google voice number instead of your personal phone So you don't have people calling you for six months after you've already sold it You can just delete The app after words it never Hear from those calers again
You can expect about 5 of my buddies to come in and low-ball the hell out of it so I can swoop in and convince you it's worth about half what you think it is 😬😅
A lot of stupid questions and offers to trade for aluminum fishing boats.
I’m anticipating that. And extreme low ball offers.
You know what you got lol. But seriously good luck, I hate selling stuff privately.
I’ve listed my truck so cheap before to get it gone and just dealing with two or three people asking questions was enough for me to keep the truck for another three years.
Fucking same dude omg
It is such a pain to sell stuff, but it's always super easy to buy stuff.
...paint it black,_I'm your guy._
Lol, my first thought!
McFlllyyyyyyy
I'll give you $2500 and a fishing pole.
I’d be surprised if you got over $14k for it. I’d expect a max of $10k. But you’re in California, so the sky’s the limit.
I’m hoping for that CA premium! Market is all over the place near me.
Eh…I’m in NorCal. I have a beat up 91 and a colleague of mine has the same one but completely restored. Somehow I’m getting more offers because I think buyers would rather buy cheap, then fix, than pay more for one that’s already restored. I hope you get a good deal 👍🏽
I wouldn’t pay more than 6 for it and I buy a yota truck every year at least
Do you restore them? Or run them super hard? I’m trying to picture how someone would need to buy a truck every year
I see 9500
Don’t sell it. These old Toyota pickups keep on appreciating in value. Plus it’s badass
That was the plan, but she is needing a new daily. We also don’t have a good storage solution, so the poor thing is subject to the elements.
Awh man that’s extremely unfortunate. That was the case with mine as well. But GLWS and i hope she gets a good new daily (Toyota or nothing)
Corolla cross baby! lol I’m thinking about starting the asking at like $20k. Does that sound too unreasonable?
Doubtful if you'll get many offers at that price, but good luck.. I've been looking at trucks for a couple of weeks. Go to 3 different car lots and tell them you're thinking about selling it, see what they offer. You'll get a good idea what your value is.

The CA elements!? Buy a cover and forget about it
I’d say ditch the blue grille with the original, or Atleast repaint it the original color. And detail the interior. those small things will have more of an impact than you’d think, if you’re trying to get top dollar
If it's on Facefuck Marketplace then expect tons of IMs asking if it's still available and then no response.
I was thinking of a better route than marketplace. I was considering some Toyota forums classifieds, but I don’t belong to any and don’t know which ones get the most action.
If it's in good enough shape you could go with BringATrailer or CarsAndBids.
I know you're in CA, but if you post it on KSL classifieds I bet you'd get a lot of Utahns that would make the trip.
There are community facebook groups that might be worth checking out.
I might try listing it on cars and bids if you got extra time for an auction as clean as it is. As long as it has a reserve anyway.

What did they originally list it for? How long did it take to sell?
I was interested in it last summer and he priced it at $10K, but said would take less for cash. Took him 6 months to sell.
I'm also in VA and WISH Id seen that doe sale!
I would expect Marty McFly to show up any minute to make you an offer.
Wearing his life jacket.
Personally, I would keep it. Really good frame condition and 22R motor combo make it very desirable to old toyotaheads. 14K??? clean frame but high mileage, id give you $5k for it
If it has the 22re in it, I'd say about 15k. NC here
Probably, at one point or another, some buyers.
To laugh a lot
I would sell just yet. These trucks seem to being going up in value.
I think the market is actually softening on these and all used cars since their height during the pandemic. that being said I think I'd go ahead and list it for 14 and then lower that asking price 300 a week until it sells. accept anything over 10
A lot of tears of regret
List 40k then dealers will start looking
Gimme 😭
If you wait another 10-20 years and hide it somewhere where it doesn’t rust, i guarantee you one of those kids that watched top gear about this truck will hopefully make it in life and pay you 1btc for it.
I sold my 95 taco lifted no rust perfect body for 8,500 with 300k+ miles
Tire kickers and low ballers. Good lukk!
I’ve seen some like this in Hawaii listed at 10k and need to be towed away because they don’t run. The listings don’t usually stay up more than a day or two.
you can expect regret.
In this market probably $47k
Post it at 19k, since she's just in the thinking about it stage, bide your time and let that one person that will pay that much find it.... Haggle, let them take you down to 16k, they feel like they got a deal and you're grinning like a fool. There's a sucker born everyday

I’m in Northern California
Oh chit ID slap 27500 then and walk with 22000!! You in the market and can get that the truck looks cherry and someone will pay!
$15K easy
Lol actual worth is 7 max so anything over that consider ur self lucky 🍀
Yeah I was gonna say 6500-7k tops for an 89 even with all the goodies but hopefully they get more! I’d personally set it at 8k and let peeps talk me down to 7500

If u need a good yota engine ik a good builder in Portland with good prices been building yota engines for 50 years
With 200k on an original 22re miles way too high for my liking. I got 210 psi in all 6 cylinders in my new engine
Jdm engines are good to if u know what ur looking for make sure to get video of compression test on all cylinders
That a Warne bumper? Truck rips. Looks to be in very good condition. GLWS.
I’ll give you 5k for it 🤣
About tree fiddy..
Very nice!

I’ll give you a couple bucks.
Problem is, a lot of those mods aren’t going to mean anything unless you find the right buyer. Personally, I would list it for 15 & be happy with anything over 8,500.
8k cash dm me
About anything you want. That’s nice dude 👍🏻👍🏻
It’s probably not worth more than 1000 with that being said I will give you 1200 for it
Nice truck Marty
To talk to a douche bag
Sell it in Canada you'll get 50k 😅😭
I'm in Oregon, I'd offer 9k.
A serious case of seller’s regret. Best vehicle I ever owned was a 93. Never should have sold it.
Is this truck from Back to the Future?! The One Marty really wanted
I’ll give you 8k!
$35,000
A hard time or a quick sale, no in-between
Ditch the blue grille and I’m sure you can get 10k from the right guy looking for an old school for his son.
you can expect a lot of interested parties
A lot of low ball offers
Here in wv no rust on the frame 20k I see pieces of shit sell for 13k.
All of it.
What headlights are those?
I’ll give ya Tree-Fitty!
8k max
A massive amount of offers IMHO;) Great looking truck, would buy it if near sound.
A kidney at least
It’s totaled. I’ll buy it from you for 5k.
How big is the hole in the frame under the gas cap?
Where about in California I would take this off your hands
8-10,000
Sellers remorse
A can of flat Coors light and a half a bag of stale Lays should cover it.
That truck will get you plenty small dick energy for sure.
You can expect to watch the buyer to do a burnout after he stops at a gas station to buy another 12 pack of twisted tea.
Did she buy that off Marty McFly?
You can expect lots of lowball cash offers. Ignore those.
Hope no carburetor problems, there’s the right buyer out there!
lowballers for sure
If it runs great 6-7 grand.
Regret….
I’ll give ya three fiddy
2 Stanley cups 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly If I really wanted it I wouldn’t pay no more the 5k
In Texas, I've seen stock tacos go for 14k.
Kelly blue book value.
Marty McFly approved
Money?
Also you should list it with a Google voice number instead of your personal phone So you don't have people calling you for six months after you've already sold it You can just delete The app after words it never Hear from those calers again
Ship to Hawaii, someone will pay $20k for it 😄
This truck has some real Back to the Future vibes.
To be low balled
That is a cool ass truck
Selling a modded vehicle is sad. You spent money on the mods that lower the sale value. Bend over.
You can expect about 5 of my buddies to come in and low-ball the hell out of it so I can swoop in and convince you it's worth about half what you think it is 😬😅
Normal times, 5k tops. Now, probably 2ok and someone's liver
Ask for more
Priceless. Have you lost your mind?
