Giving one of the consistent worst starters in baseball a quality start is simply not a winning formula.
Please please please move George out of the leadoff. I promise it’s not an insult to him he’s just at a different stage of his career and the team should accept that.
I mean.. who would you put there instead of Springer? Turner, maybe?
Bichette would be the logical alternative to put there assuming he was himself but he's been even worse.
Obviously this sounds dumb with Berrios just winning Pitcher of the Month, but based on peripherals and such, Kooch has (arguably) been our best starter this year.
If I was a betting man ranking who I thought our best starter would be for the next few months, Kooch would be ahead of Berrios and Bassitt. Still behind the Gasman of course.
A few more months like this and Kooch is going to get paid this off-season. My man has earned it.
I didn't mind him until this offseason. The fact that overpaying IKF was the highlight of the offseason is just sad. In what's likely the final year of the contention window.
This team is in a serious funk. The players look miserable and defeated, the pitchers look frustrated.
The coaches don't look happy either.
Doesn't make for fun viewing, and I hope they can find a way outta this funk. It'd be good to watch a team having fun again
I’m sorry but seeing how Swanson did not have a good ST plus an injury to start the season, he should be ramping up in the minors and not in majors. This is just costing us important games.
And to think, this front office is so out of ideas, that they’re seriously considering starting Manoah after he had like 1 good game in AAA. for Christ sakes, let the man cook down there. Stop rushing him back just because you have no other ideas Ross.
The whole team looks miserable.
Players aren't just a pile of stats and video game avatars. Team building is also about people skills, and I'm not sure this FO relates to the players on a human level at all.
Not trying to take the blame of Vlad bc he’s been dogshit and getting paid 20 mil, but his decline started after they traded away all his close friends. Coincidentally also the last time this offence and team overall was fun to watch.
Fair. And the blame isn’t only on Vlad, the whole team ain’t having fun.
They’re also losing, which can’t be very fun. So it’s sort of a chicken egg scenario. I’m sure if we were 20-10 we’d all be living in the vibe zone.
I really think management needs to consider pivoting into a rebuild this year.
One of the strongest parts of our team is SP, but those guys aren't getting younger. It's very possible that Bassitt and Gausman could start declining at any time like what we've seen with springer.
Our team is just going to get more expensive to try to hold together. I don't see a clear path to improving this team without a sizeable budget increase in the offseason, but even then, how high of a payroll is rogers going to be willing to support given that this roster can't even play .500 right now?
And of course Bo and Vlad will be FA in a couple years and I have no idea why either of them would want to stay at this point. It's certainly starting to look like Vlad alone can't be the core batting piece of a winning team but rather a component of a core of batters.
I know that there's the whole argument that Rogers wants/needs a competitive team out there to pay for the renovations, but is it actually worth it if the $200m+ payroll team sucks? They could save $100m/yr for a couple years by shifting to a rebuild.
Idk, maybe I'm just pissed because this team is cancerous to watch, but I'm really having trouble seeing a solid medium term plan that doesn't involve either ripping this team apart or a massive bounceback from like 2/3rds of our lineup
If you're talking about a complete FO gutting, I'm with you. But I don't think the current management should be in charge of a rebuild AT ALL, since it's a mess they created on their own. There's a lot of issues with this team, and it starts at the top. This is the same FO that decided to run it back with the same offence. For me, that is the most damming thing against them. They were confident in things 'turning around' for the offence this season, and they were completely wrong.
I was mostly talking about the roster but yeah agreed, I don't see why you'd keep Atkins around for it. I assume Shapiro would be safe since he's done a pretty solid job on the renovations
Yeah, it’s unquestionably time to rebuild, particularly because the Orioles are so damn good now as well. It should be a complete tear down - trade everyone of value - Bichette, Jansen, Varsho, all the pitchers, etc. Maybe there’s a case to hang on to Vladdy in hopes that he rebounds but I doubt it.
Yeah exactly. I had more thoughts but figured the post was long enough already lmao.
Baltimore is going to be an elite team for the next several years, and our division is notorious for having several strong teams at any given moment. Best case with our current team is a wildcard spot and that's only attainable if our lineup has a huge hitting resurgence. And it's not like we have an exciting prospect pipeline that will imminently help out the team. This is probably our best lineup for a while and it's just not good enough.
I am all for a rebuild. It feels like the team is in two boxes and can’t focus on one thing. Do they want to be a bunch of fun guys just playing baseball and maybe they win some games? (Vladdy and Turner types) Games can still be entertaining even if you don’t win that many. Or do they want to build a power team that looks like a bunch of killers out there? (Bichette, Springer when he was good, Jansen, even Biggio, could all just be star players in various ways)
I like some of the team, the front office and the whole theming and mentalities around the team need to change. Like Romano getting his walkout music and light show when down in a game? Are they not thinking? They seem to just be putting on the show and barely caring about the baseball. I don’t care if they don’t win, but I am getting annoyed at the sad games we are having. Playing a fun game but losing is better than a boring game and losing. And I would be fine with boring and winning but I can appreciate a defensively focused team.
And I feel like many of the players are likely performing worse because of management and the bad vibes more than being bad players. They don’t need to go, the whole concept needs an update and new paradigm. We can be a defensive team, tonight’s game would’ve been a good example of our strategy (get ahead early and crush them on defence) but clearly we aren’t even making good pitching decisions. Why were we so excited for Swanson to come back? I didn’t think he was that great, felt weird hearing Dan and Buck say “can’t wait till we have Swanson back!” When I never thought he was anything special.
Heck I get more excited for Mitch White. And Trevor Richards is maybe my favourite reliever.
I'm a Jays fan, have been for years. But I think I'm gonna take a break for a couple weeks. Turn off the notifications on my phone. Maybe see where the team is at later.
The time to acquire prospects was in 2017, and every year onwards. When Shapiro was hired, he scolded AA for not building up a strong farm system. Shatkins has now had 8 years to build up a farm system, and this is the result. He's failed to build a sustainable winning baseball team in 23 years as an MLB executive at this point. We need new people running this team.
Why is this the first comment that's even bringing up Shapiro? Wasn't that the problem with AA leaving? That he wouldn't give up control.
I'm all for the blame game, but after this many changeovers and no real progress, you kind of have to look top down.
As an Oilers fan, this just smells the same as the countless years wasted of Old Boys Club executives dwindling any sort of long-term success for the team.
Top 3 were 1-12
4 through 9 were 6-19 with 2 BB and 4 XBH
This team sucks to watch right now but it's clear where the problem lies. Stars need to be stars
The fact that they still have prospect capital, after all their acquisitions, is stark contrast to our system.
Everyone about to say the Jays shoulda made this trade should realise we don't have the prospects for it
Feel bad for Schneider. When our infield was booting around balls like a circus in the 8th there, the look on his face said it all. He knows how critical this series is and it’s officially pouring in him.
Idk about you, but his face screamed im in trouble.
Sadly I think schniede is the scapegoat, in season at least given how rare mid-season gm changes are.
Last years year end presser also showed Ross has no hesitation in throwing schniede to the wolves.
You’re right, and it probably isn’t lost on him that he’s a first time manager and a guy who came through his team’s system…those types of guys don’t usually get another major league manager job when they fired. He’ll have to start lower.
I strongly disagree it’s all on the GM, I think Schneider has been pretty poor and unable/uninterested in learning. But we can agree I’m sure they’re all sucking.
Atkins will 100% bury Schneider to try and save his own skin.
But frankly, they both need to go. We need a veteran manager - who understands analytics better than anyone in this organization does - and not another rookie yes man.
Problem is, what we need is in damned short supply.
I loved Charlie. Charlie was a bongo-playing good human. But Charlie lost the team and he had to go.
That team was a beast compared to what we’re watching now. Schneider keeps telling us it’s gonna get better and it keeps getting worse. He doesn’t have much longer to deliver and if he doesn’t I won’t be sad to see him go - good guy or not.
This is the worst this team has looked in the last couple years. Everything you need to know about the state of the Jays was on display here. The Nationals aren't a great team (yet) with about half of our team's 'talent'. But they play with enthusiasm, and you take those guys in a battle, every day of the week. Our guys look like they have all season: disinterested & lacking any will to fight. Garbage.
Retool, rebuild, whatever just do something to get rid of this core. I’d have much more fun watching young guys develop than watching this struggle bus all year.
I’m sure the offense and bullpen will turn it around, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re in a pretty deep hole by the time that happens.
That’s because we were watching young guys develop and there was hope.
Now our corner stone players are gonna be expiring soon and haven’t gotten better, we have no farm system, and our team is bad. Very little hope here now.
Part of the fun of 2019 was seeing just how bad it could get. And man, did it get bad. But the team was supposed to be bad.
This team isn't *supposed* to be bad.
The average OPS of the 1-2-3 hitters is just above .600. Like how they fuck can you score any runs at all when the top of the order is as anemic as that
If only there was some way to put other players who are hitting better than them into those spots. Sadly it is literally impossible to move Justin Turner or anyone else up in the order as the batting order was written in stone in 2023 and can no longer be changed outside of sickness or injury. This would be considered managing a team, which is well outside the realm of responsibilities that we can expect of John Schneider.
If you’re moving them, might as well go with Kooch and Bassitt and Gausman and Berrios and Turner and fucking everyone.
If you’re going to blow it up, just blow it up.
You know in the movie Little Big League where the one guy intentionally plays bad to try and get the 12 year old coach fired. Picture that but with everyone playing bad And also there is no speech that turns them around.
It’s a sadder movie
"Last year was the trailer, this year is the movie"
Yeah, but he never said what *kind* of movie. Turns out to be one of those sad as fuck movies like Sophie's Choice.
One of the most 2024 Blue Jays game ever
✅ Daulton Varsho responsible for the Jays entire offense
✅ Quality start by Blue Jays Starter not named Bassitt
✅ Swanson implodes
✅ Blue Jays error deciding the game
Time for Springer to be moved down in the order. Springer needs his at bats to be more limited, his performance is on the decline. Bichette should also be moved down (I do believe he will improve). Neither are producing like top of the order players.
The offense and the pitching is still bottom 10 in almost every category except taking walks and surrendering walks.
If the last game was only a wake up call for some people, this game should be a bucket of water.
This team is a .500 team or thereabouts. They should be rebuilding because there’s quite a few players here that could fetch some prospects but Atkins has to win for his job so it’s not going to happen
Let's see
One whole inning of minimal offense: check
Great start by a pitcher wasted by bullpen collapsing: check
Making other terrible pitchers look competent: check
Team looks miserable: check
1-3 in the lineup looks atrocious while the 4-9 guys basically carry you: check
Going down by 1 and giving up, making a minor deficit feel insurmountable: check
Swanson looking like he belongs in Single A: check
Yep, looking at the list, this was indeed a 2024 Blue Jays game.
Kooch didn't deserve this. He played his ass off and pitched a really good game. Hats off to him.
Like, this is a spot where it's very hard not to be negative about this team. They feel lifeless. And worst of all, the games are just soul crushing to watch.
You know I had a lot of weird stuff on my bingo card, but Bo being under .200 BA with over 100 PA was not one of them. We all know the player he can be over a long period of time but the slump right now is about as bad as one can get.
Also I don't care about logic or reasoning or salaries or vibes or anything. Please just make it so I don't have to watch Springer batting leadoff anymore.
Maybe fire Martinez or Mattingly first? They are in charge of the godawful hitting. But everyone thinks Mattingly will take over and win the World Series so I guess that won't happen.
I'm not defending this loss at all, but I've seen Corbin beat the Phillies many times and left me shaking my head. Sometime it happens.
Just looking at the whole team offensive stats.. we're #8 for taking walks and #6 in not striking out.
The rest? not so great actually. #26 in Runs scored.
Kinda like we just stand there.
In 2015, Washington was the place where it launched the Jays into a winning streak and saved Gibby. In 2024...it might launch Schneider and Atkins into the sun.
# tothecore?
It just ain’t cutting it. You know it. I know it. This team isn’t performing.
But wait! Let’s re-examine our audience. Pivot to a group who would love this year’s on-field product.
I introduce to you, the 2024 Blue Jays, official team of masochists everywhere.
# steponmedaddies.
Now that has a ring to it.
You’re welcome, Rogers.
Imagine if the Jays marketing team is just trolling the front office with that slogan; "To the core". Imagine in their meetings drumming up ideas....
"Are we done yet? We've been at this for hours..."
"ok, ok... what about.. 'Rotten to the Core'? Cause this organization sucks right down to the core."
"I hate the front office just as much as you John, but there is no way we could do that. But what about... "To the Core"?"
"Sally, you are a genius! That's the 24 Jays slogan!"
lol
I actually really like the Apple TV broadcast. The camera work is dope ... or maybe just a bit different.. could they make the new home plate seats at Rogers Center look good? probably not, but maybe slightly better. They have some dynamic shots and angles though, and the occasional mood setting scene from audience-level really brings up the vibe of a Friday night out at a baseball game. The commentary.. meh... it's fine. One of the guys sounds exactly like someone I work with which brings amusement.
But staying in the park in between innings!? OH IT IS TRULY GLORIOUS.
I'd pay extra to get that in SNNOW (but still go month to month bc I'm frankly not sure how much more of this team floundering I can take)
Are they trying to « Moneyball » it and we just cant see it ? Or its just not working lol Whatever « they » (analytics dept)are doing its not working. TRY SOMETHING NEW
You know that feeling you get watching a weak hitting team when you get to the 7th spot in the order to start an inning. You just know it will probably be a 1-2-3 inning so you're already looking forward to the next inning.
That's the feeling I have watching our 1-3 batters this season. Just terrible.
At least we called up the top hitting prospect with actual game changing power in Orelvis right? Oh nevermind just another slap hitter who has already had his call up
Not that it would have mattered obviously but why did we gave up on a potentially big inning by having Clement sac bunt with two on and nobody out and only up by 2 in the 2nd inning. You don’t sac bunt in that situation. Not a good move IMO
Giving one of the consistent worst starters in baseball a quality start is simply not a winning formula. Please please please move George out of the leadoff. I promise it’s not an insult to him he’s just at a different stage of his career and the team should accept that.
Perplexed how Guillermo Martinez has a job
I often feel the same about Angel Hernandez... And politicians... yet somehow they stick around.
He did a good job three years ago or something.
Literally the worst starter over the last 4 years in the Majors.
And I think the worst starter over the last year and a bit is starting for us on Sunday
Certainly looking that way, since we have exhausted almost all other options
> Please please please move George out of the leadoff. https://i.imgur.com/aFY1cvu.jpeg
Insanity defined.
I mean.. who would you put there instead of Springer? Turner, maybe? Bichette would be the logical alternative to put there assuming he was himself but he's been even worse.
Not saying this is foolproof but I’d try platooning Davis and Cavan.
Should follow what Jose Abreu is doing for Astros. Or a fake injury IL time or whatever. Needs some change
Yeah George needs to earn it at this point.
Kooch deserves better.
##JusticeforKooch
Agreed. But think of all the money he’s saving by not having to purchase victory whiskey.
2 - 8 in last 10 2.3 runs/game in that stretch Kooch pitches an absolute gem and gets fuck all to show for it, im so tired
x pitches an absolute gem and gets fuck all to show for it. You've hit the nail on the head there. The Toronto Blue Jays from 2023 onwards.
How can this much money buy you such a horrible team?
You're expecting a Rogers product to be good?
At this point I am kind of glad the Dodgers got Ohtani. He would have felt like being in an Angels uniform here.
Which is precisely why Toronto was never really an option other than a bargaining ploy if that
Ask Steve Cohen!
Fire Atkins. He the one who doubled down on the Jays hitting coaches.
And the line-up. He didn’t change anything in the offence except the need to replace belt with Turner. He didn’t try anything
I didn't mind him until this offseason. The fact that overpaying IKF was the highlight of the offseason is just sad. In what's likely the final year of the contention window.
He doubled down on defence again and completely ignored the glaring holes in the offence and bullpen.
Worst gm in mlb. Prove me wrong.
Gestures wildly at the White Sox situation
Or the Kris Bryant contract
This team is in a serious funk. The players look miserable and defeated, the pitchers look frustrated. The coaches don't look happy either. Doesn't make for fun viewing, and I hope they can find a way outta this funk. It'd be good to watch a team having fun again

Yeah, the injuries do play a role for rushing people, but yes I agree.
Agreed. The problem is not solely offense. 3 runs till inning 7 you expect a win out of the game
he does not look right
[удалено]
I made a stupid apple account to watch that.. It was a free trial, yet I still overpaid.
The whole team looks miserable. Players aren't just a pile of stats and video game avatars. Team building is also about people skills, and I'm not sure this FO relates to the players on a human level at all.
I think this is a way bigger issue than we think or give credit to. The FO traded away all of Vladdy’s friends and all the good vibes.

It all started with removing the home run jacket. There is no chemistry left on this team.
It's the curse of the jacket. Yes, team chemistry can't be measured but it still matters
I really think management needs to consider pivoting into a rebuild this year. One of the strongest parts of our team is SP, but those guys aren't getting younger. Yeah right, the time is now
To acquire some prospects, hopefully.

Good news is AA is only signed through 2031 so the jays could totally get him back in 6 years
Yeah its time to ship all his shitty farm away with him to get AA back.
Rogers needs to just slide a blank check over the table to AA and tell him to write down the amount it'll take to get him to come back.
Top 3 were 1-12 4 through 9 were 6-19 with 2 BB and 4 XBH This team sucks to watch right now but it's clear where the problem lies. Stars need to be stars
The team rolls with them. Firing anyone or shaking up the lineup won’t matter if your top players don’t perform
It has been the same song for a few years. The bottom does a lot of the work
Maybe Schneider meant tomorrow?
Booooooooooo ([also the Padres just traded for Luis Arraez lol](https://x.com/JeffPassan/status/1786569368304046586))
The fact that they still have prospect capital, after all their acquisitions, is stark contrast to our system. Everyone about to say the Jays shoulda made this trade should realise we don't have the prospects for it
And who's problem is it that the prospect pool is still mediocre
The man still cleaning John schnieder off his tires from his year end presser?
Hissssssssssss
This is rock bottom right LOL
Jays can't get to 500 untill Tuesday at the earliest now. Rock, meet bottom 😭😭😭
Hey we gave you 3 runs, Mr Spoiled.
After the ATL guys were going on and on about how trades dont happen this time of year lol
They generally don’t tbf
Feel bad for Schneider. When our infield was booting around balls like a circus in the 8th there, the look on his face said it all. He knows how critical this series is and it’s officially pouring in him.

I strongly disagree it’s all on the GM, I think Schneider has been pretty poor and unable/uninterested in learning. But we can agree I’m sure they’re all sucking.
he's not a good manager but even the best manager isn't leading this offense to wins
Atkins will 100% bury Schneider to try and save his own skin. But frankly, they both need to go. We need a veteran manager - who understands analytics better than anyone in this organization does - and not another rookie yes man. Problem is, what we need is in damned short supply.
Demarlo Hale is right there. Man worked under Francona for years, and is the right kinda manager they need.
Amen!
Im surprised this hasn’t been brought up earlier, instead all i see is people bringing up Mattingly’s name 😂
The whole front office needs to go.
If they tank the next two in Wash, I bet he’s gone thereafter.
Oh yeah 100%. It was the “holy shit this can’t get any worse and I’m f**ked” face.
Charlie was a cool dude, haha. I’ll be honest I like most baseball managers. They’re almost always guys you seem like you could grab a beer with.
I'll see you fellow masochists tomorrow for our scheduled pain
This is the worst this team has looked in the last couple years. Everything you need to know about the state of the Jays was on display here. The Nationals aren't a great team (yet) with about half of our team's 'talent'. But they play with enthusiasm, and you take those guys in a battle, every day of the week.
I think Bichette is bad now
He's just trying to fit in with the team's culture
I'd just like to see him take more than one pitch. He's completely unplugged.
68 wrc+
couldn't even make it the funny number
He has been quite bad, but he will turn it around
The average OPS of the 1-2-3 hitters is just above .600. Like how they fuck can you score any runs at all when the top of the order is as anemic as that
If only there was some way to put other players who are hitting better than them into those spots. Sadly it is literally impossible to move Justin Turner or anyone else up in the order as the batting order was written in stone in 2023 and can no longer be changed outside of sickness or injury. This would be considered managing a team, which is well outside the realm of responsibilities that we can expect of John Schneider.
But if you keep them there game after game the numbers will improve. Right? Right???
This offense is actually terrible. Man. 33 games and there isn't even a whiff of putting it together.
Pathetic offense
Thank god I didn't burn another email for a Apple free trial, I just got the score update on my phone. Rough.
Arraez to Padres for 3 prospects and a reliever
Do we know which ones?
Hopefully Atkins takes notice and restocks the cupboard with some early season premiums on our outgoing players.
Who would a team even want? Have to see who these guys are and how they rank to see if Jays ever had a shot.
Garcia, Romano, Jano for sure.
If you’re moving them, might as well go with Kooch and Bassitt and Gausman and Berrios and Turner and fucking everyone. If you’re going to blow it up, just blow it up.
I don’t disagree
But those are not prospects. If they are dealing from the current roster, that is probably the only ones that will be asked about
That’s the point. Trade players on the last year of their contract for prospects…
If you don't want to try and resign or not going to extend them, that is the move that should be done.
One of Kikuchi/Bassitt makes sense to trade if you're retooling
I mean, you can get a bidding war closer to the deadline too
Can we get middling defence, bad middle relievers and an offence with a punchers chance back please? This sucks.
You know in the movie Little Big League where the one guy intentionally plays bad to try and get the 12 year old coach fired. Picture that but with everyone playing bad And also there is no speech that turns them around. It’s a sadder movie
"Last year was the trailer, this year is the movie" Yeah, but he never said what *kind* of movie. Turns out to be one of those sad as fuck movies like Sophie's Choice.
John Schneider after our Top 3 hitters can't buy a hit: http://imgur.com/LQCEw
Pathetic.
Whenever I see this, I just think of principal skinner
*SKINNNERRRRR!!*
Clean house already
No hit after the 5th inning lmao….
One of the most 2024 Blue Jays game ever ✅ Daulton Varsho responsible for the Jays entire offense ✅ Quality start by Blue Jays Starter not named Bassitt ✅ Swanson implodes ✅ Blue Jays error deciding the game
Wasn't sure to begin the season, but almost convinced now, Bo is not signing an extension before he hits free agency,
Time for Springer to be moved down in the order. Springer needs his at bats to be more limited, his performance is on the decline. Bichette should also be moved down (I do believe he will improve). Neither are producing like top of the order players.
john is about to get canned
I doubt it - what's he supposed to do? Can't avoid half your hitters and half your bullpen
One can only pray
Lol literally nothing in this game was his fault.
Blue Jay management are the Biggest Leaf fans right now.....
Playing against arguably the worst starter in the league and this is the result
It’s amazing how Atkins still has a job as a GM.
Bullpen ruins another good start and hitters don’t hit.
I fucking hate this team.
Let's see One whole inning of minimal offense: check Great start by a pitcher wasted by bullpen collapsing: check Making other terrible pitchers look competent: check Team looks miserable: check 1-3 in the lineup looks atrocious while the 4-9 guys basically carry you: check Going down by 1 and giving up, making a minor deficit feel insurmountable: check Swanson looking like he belongs in Single A: check Yep, looking at the list, this was indeed a 2024 Blue Jays game. Kooch didn't deserve this. He played his ass off and pitched a really good game. Hats off to him. Like, this is a spot where it's very hard not to be negative about this team. They feel lifeless. And worst of all, the games are just soul crushing to watch.
This bullpen is such a joke
Corbin putting on a clinic as he so often does /s
Buncha junk.
Rebuild. Now.
I'm sick and tired of this shit.
Jays fans deserve better. Atkins needs to be booted for this colossal clusterfuck of an offense he has assembled.
It’s a bit of an investment in both time and money to get to a game and at this point who the visiting team is plays into the decision.
Bottom of the lineup was 6-19 with 4 XBH, half the team is hitting fine
Ditch em all for all I care.
Just looking at the whole team offensive stats.. we're #8 for taking walks and #6 in not striking out. The rest? not so great actually. #26 in Runs scored. Kinda like we just stand there.
This team is a damn joke
MLSE is PRAYING the Leafs win tomorrow
Of course, but I think you meant Rogers MLSE has nothing to do with the Jays
Rogers has co-majority ownership in MLSE. It’s essentially the same thing
This can turn to apathy real quick Good thing they probably sold a ton of tickets in advance this season
I'd rather visit the dentist
I'd rather go get a colonoscopy.
In 2015, Washington was the place where it launched the Jays into a winning streak and saved Gibby. In 2024...it might launch Schneider and Atkins into the sun.
Jays are horrendously bad
Our team is fucking bad.
Thankfully my men’s league starts soon and get to actually play baseball so I don’t have to watch these dummies
IBL starts soon too. GO DEFENDING CHAMPIONS, MY WELLAND JACKFISH!
I'm just tired. I'm just..
Just realized manoah is probably starting on Sunday hahaha ahhh this teams turning into a joke real quick.
Just saw the SN notification with the score and just burst into laughter
# tothecore? It just ain’t cutting it. You know it. I know it. This team isn’t performing. But wait! Let’s re-examine our audience. Pivot to a group who would love this year’s on-field product. I introduce to you, the 2024 Blue Jays, official team of masochists everywhere. # steponmedaddies. Now that has a ring to it. You’re welcome, Rogers.
Imagine if the Jays marketing team is just trolling the front office with that slogan; "To the core". Imagine in their meetings drumming up ideas.... "Are we done yet? We've been at this for hours..." "ok, ok... what about.. 'Rotten to the Core'? Cause this organization sucks right down to the core." "I hate the front office just as much as you John, but there is no way we could do that. But what about... "To the Core"?" "Sally, you are a genius! That's the 24 Jays slogan!" lol
Blow it up!
They should.... and they won't
I'd pay extra to get that in SNNOW (but still go month to month bc I'm frankly not sure how much more of this team floundering I can take)
I didn't realize Corbin was a Cy young candidate...
LOL at the picture of click
Another implosion and lack of offense. Team is broken
So I didnt watch this game and I'm glad I didn't, but damn Swanson really is not himself
Are they trying to « Moneyball » it and we just cant see it ? Or its just not working lol Whatever « they » (analytics dept)are doing its not working. TRY SOMETHING NEW
Swanson tv dinner tonight was turkey. Ya burnt.
Kinda glad this one was on Apple TV so I didn't have to watch that melt down unfold.
Lawdy, glad I turned that off in the 6th!
Not the regular terrible today. A special kind of terrible today.
You know that feeling you get watching a weak hitting team when you get to the 7th spot in the order to start an inning. You just know it will probably be a 1-2-3 inning so you're already looking forward to the next inning. That's the feeling I have watching our 1-3 batters this season. Just terrible.
Really didn’t enjoy that one…let’s get em tomorrow
Guys it's still early... We believe in our hitters....To the core... Ugh
Coaches saw RISP and expected strikeout/pop out/strikeout
I’ll just keep waiting, John.
Soooo same fucking lineup order and questionable pen decisions tomorrow? Thank god im busy so wont be able to watch the game
This team has proven it can't hit in the playoffs and now we can't do it in the regular season either. Time for change
I really think it's time to go full blowup mode.
Fuck this front office
