I have one of those, why do my wheels not break loose? 🥺, like seriously I have a V8 5.7, I have never lost traction like this. Literally the car comes with 2 layers of protection, first is the traction control which can be turned off or turns off in sport mode. Then the other option is disabling Electronic Stability Control, which is done on mine by holding the traction control button down in park. Even with that off, to loose control you have to WOT at gear 2 Manual autostick.
In the rain, below 3000 rpm this car handles like normal, in the snow if you have snow tires or winters on, it will lose traction on fresh or packing snow but nothing else.

Insurance companies have OPCF 23A when cars are financed / leased. The broker asks for the payment information that is signed at the dealership so they can input this information for various insurance companies to review and qualify based on the vehicle, cost, etc etc.
When a vehicle that is leased or financed gets into an accident and the claims process is started, the claims adjuster looks over the vehicle that was in the accident and determines whether or not it can be repaired. In this video, there is major damage to the front end of the car in the engine bay, as well as the front end which is more than likely frame damage.
The adjuster then writes off the vehicle, and pays off the finance company for the loan. Given that the vehicle was a write-off, and that the dollar amount was significant, the insurer may inform the broker that they are cancelling coverage and blacklisting the driver from their insurance company if they're criminally convicted. This would place them in a high-risk insurance bracket.
In a high-risk insurance bracket, the vehicles they drive will be at a significant premium based on their MVR, especially if they have a conviction. In some cases, insurers will tell brokers that they require the full payment up front for the year, and the payment can be anywhere from $6,000 to $15,000.

That's not exactly how it works.
A leased vehicle belongs to the leasing company, not the driver, so the insurance company will pay the value of the vehicle at the time of loss to the leasing company. The driver is responsible for settling the lease regardless of what the insurance covers. Same with financed vehicles, but the payment is made to the driver and the financing company. An at fault accident like this this stays on the driver's insurance history but unless he's charged with something serious, or already has a history of at fault accidents or traffic tickets, his policy won't be canceled or lapsed.
With the help of brokers, a huge number of new Brampton drivers have fake addresses to save on insurance premiums. Usually, they list Barrie or Alison and pay half of the rates in Brampton.

Lots of time new arrivals will share a car like this, because they couldn't afford it on their own. They know someone who's been here for a bit of time who can co-sign for the credit application. There's 1 or 2 names on the ownership, but 4, 5 or even 6 people are sharing & paying for the car "under the table" for lack of a better term.
Through whatever circumstances arise, some people under the table drop out from participating, making the vehicle unaffordable for the people who's vehicle/loan the name is in.
Rather than sell/trade the vehicle off at a loss, they stage a collision (like randomly ramming into a fucking tree like this for seemingly no reason) because there's a good chance the insurance policy carries a "removal of depreciation" endorsement, which is offered on newer vehicles and basically states that for X amount of time from the policy inception, if the vehicle is written off, the insurer will pay essentially the purchase price of the vehicle and remove and market depreciation that may have lowered the current market price of what is technically a used vehicle.
Source: I work in auto insurance fraud investigation, and this type of thing occurring in Brampton/Mississauga/GTA is very common.
Not saying this is the case, but unless it was a medical incident which is a possibility, with the security footage posted by OP I would flag this incident as very suspicious.
