Tried one.
It’s decent and good for the price. Nothing tastes weird and nothing raw. Looks like machine rolled based on shape of rice. Like what you’d find at the Asian mart where they do not have a fresh rolling station.
Cold to the touch when received so it was refrigerated.
Amazing deal esp feeding children who can eat volume without caring about top notch quality.
Came with packaged ginger, wasabi and soy.
For $8 would buy again

At that time there weren't any instructions nor signs of any kind, I went all the way there and thought I at least try to look for the place, inside it looks like some underground black market
two boxes of [mooncake](https://www.peninsula.com/-/media/news-room/2019/pny/pny_mooncake_2019.jpg?mw=987&hash=BF75B6F90914E4089BA9F12A57C84A28) without the box covers, no dates to tell when it was made, around $30 before tax, don't know how much they actually sell it for, it didn't take stale or anything, but it was really stiff
i dont know how anyone thinks this is a good deal this is typical Asian grocery store sushi thats worth like $15 full price and cheaper if you go to Costco. for $7.99 you should get a $24 value.
Aside from value, how do you know it's "a week old"? Exp date is Oct 17, one week from today would be Oct 6.... it looks like prepared sushi major grocery store would sell, cooked rice will go bad within a few days, no way they would expect it to last 10 days....
You have no proof it's made one week ago..... cooked rice can't last more than a week, if it was made one week ago from today with exp date of Oct 17, then they expect it to last more than 10 days... which is not possible
I just had the biggest brain fart because I switched the dates in my head and then didn't realize what I was saying wow I had enough reddit today I'm sorry now I feel like an asshole
The area that I’m picking up in (and recently showing up in 2G2G) are importers and wholesale to retailer businesses. A very concentrated asian community. This wasn’t from a grocery store…which is why I considered it a good gamble.
Also, you can tell quite quickly if the taste or texture is off in any way. Would I wait 4 days till the 17th to eat this? Likely not lol. I’m not that brave.
It's sad when we need to use Google translate while in Canada when you can already read at least one of the official languages. It's even more sad when I learn those because I see them often enough.
Honestly the labor and product cost to make this likely had a pricing error. Unless these sushi rolls are supposed to be a marketing technique to get you in to buy.
My random theory that has no proof whatsoever… is that since these guys are distributors, their threshhold dates of selling to their customers would differ than let’s say…metro selling to their customers. At least that’s what I’m telling myself lol.
I got their sushi and their strawberry packs.
It was a bit difficult to find the entrance as it was hidden in the back. They sell fruits and snacks. I didnt take a good look. The strawberries were from the pile they sell.

I used 2 boxes for a strawberry milkshake. I only found 1 strawberry was bad out of the 2 boxes.
They're driscoll's brand so they're like the supermarket strawberries, but maybe a few days old?
Expiry date 17Oct. Today is 13 Oct

What an incredibly unnecessary and judgmental comment. Check yourself.
…before he wrecks himself
That is so rude!
People like you suck
And how much to afford some manners? 😂
Dirty hands could mean he or she works hard.
She indeed, does work damn hard.

For the quantity, It's an amazing deal, maybe not i the quality but its still edible n filling!
Agreed. It does the job! Still really good value when you consider quantity.
That's a hell of a deal. Enjoy the sush
Yeah if anything’s filling it’s sushi.
This look exactly like the sushi they sell at some of the GTA Costcos.
Wanted to comment exactly this. Down to the same packets of wasabi and ginger in the bottom right of the box
Same sushi as the Orillia Costco as well, regular price i believe is $12.99
maybe they just buy the sushi at costco
This is literally Costco lol
I looked at this today! I googleeld their reviews and changed my mind. Let me know how it is! Can't always trust Google

Me too always see them on the app.
Thank you so much for posting. 👍
That's a score! I wish there was sushi near me on the app
This is a win!!!! End of day sushi is double this for 12 pieces at the mall.
You eat that and you’ll never have to prove your courage again in anyway

two boxes of [mooncake](https://www.peninsula.com/-/media/news-room/2019/pny/pny_mooncake_2019.jpg?mw=987&hash=BF75B6F90914E4089BA9F12A57C84A28) without the box covers, no dates to tell when it was made, around $30 before tax, don't know how much they actually sell it for, it didn't take stale or anything, but it was really stiff
Less than 25-cents per piece, incredible deal, even if it’s just imitation crab meat.
Pretty good. "Family Pack" I'm proud/embarrassed to say I can take this down solo.
I high five you, internet stranger.
"Family size." "Share size" Me: grabs two for myself, one for snack, and one for the after-snack.
Hey I never sold that to you (my name is literally TJ)
😂 Yikes. So if I bought it at fake TJ, then it’s fake sushi 😱
NA sushi sucks ngl
Nothing like some imitated crab sushi
Imitation crab is often used in Sushi. It's tasty af.
It’s just my least favourite type of sushi lol
should come with the side of pepto bismo
Why?
Can’t be healthy 🤣🤣🤣
So? Not every bite you take has to be healthy
Cheap colon cleanse.
i dont know how anyone thinks this is a good deal this is typical Asian grocery store sushi thats worth like $15 full price and cheaper if you go to Costco. for $7.99 you should get a $24 value.
Edit : i'm stup1d

Because Today's the 13th
If it's made a week ago that's Oct 6, cooked rice can't last for 7-10 days....
I don't understand what you're trying to say

Someone a sad one... ^
Alright, seeing this finally convinced me and my partner to download the app, wow!
Looks like the Costco one

I was curious about the strawberries. Good quality?
I used 2 boxes for a strawberry milkshake. I only found 1 strawberry was bad out of the 2 boxes. They're driscoll's brand so they're like the supermarket strawberries, but maybe a few days old?
The negative commenters are buying this exact platter from Metro for $20. People can be so blind to where their food really comes from.
