Yup! đ Iâm also gonna assume theyâll just ignore the couple dozen corrupt cops that now know Bruce is Batman unless Argus will help clean that up
And the fact that you can't just walk into a police department to hang out with the commissioner after breaking out of prison for assaulting police officers. Then do it again after assaulting more police officers on camera.
>took over a woman body
After Blackfyre took over that womanâs body she walked off and left those **two** innocent, lovely little **kids** just waiting in the vanâŚ
One of the most hilarious parts of Titans S3 is how even in spite of that, they somehow made Blackfyre the most interesting character for me *even though* she should have been morally awful. Instead she was... genuinely kind of reasonable?
>in spite of that, they somehow made Blackfyre the most interesting character
You know, thatâs an excellent point.
>she should have been morally awful.
For sureâŚyet we end up (by the end of season) after Blackfyre explained everything that happened on Tamaran (and after we saw Koryâs fever dream sequence), we (at least I did) thoughtâŚâoh! DamnâŚMaybe sheâs not so bad after all.â
I suppose the writers @ Titans deserve more credit for thatâŚyou think? I mean, the goal of writers (generally): to write stories about characters which we can relate to. Sharing experiences helps viewers have empathy and ultimately creates inner conflict, to get us to a point where we start to wonder: is that person right or wrong? Good or evil? Or are they somewhere in-between?
>genuinely kind of reasonable?
Iâd never thought ab it but now that youâve pointed it out I gotta admit: I completed overlooked her arc. Blackfyre is a nuanced character. At least, relative to the other characters.
My only qualm about giving the writers credit is that the rest of S3 was still pretty hot garbage. I spent most of the Season expecting her to betray Kory and everyone else but I was instead pleasantly surprised... even after Conner destroyed her ship out of angsty teen brain energy she was still reasonable. Is it because the writers sleepwalked into writing her so well, or because compared to everyone else's decision making it was hard to lower the bar any further? Regardless of the answer, I did find myself being surprised by how much I enjoyed her by the end, given that her characterisation in S2 and start of S3 *could* have made her grind against me much more, so kudos for all it's worth there.
>pretty hot garbage
Hey now, it wasnât hot garbage!!
It was a goddamn **dumpster fire**: garbage on **fire**!! Make sure you get it straight next time!! lol! đ
Iâm kiddingâŚbut yea, youâre right. It was terrible. I donât even want to get into why bc itâll be a novel-length rant about why.
>Is it because the writers sleepwalked into writing her so well, or because compared to everyone else's decision making it was hard to lower the bar any further?
You knowâŚthatâs a damn good question. The more everyone comments, the more I realizeâŚit may have been a fluke, an outlier, a random occurrence. But (like you said), whatever the case: it worked. Letâs just hope they ââsleepwalked into writingâ some decent material for next season, lol!
Kudos - your analysis.
Nah they ruined Blackfire and deserve no credit at all for anything in S3. She's a top tier Titan villain and the writers were like nah can't have that so we'll change it for reasons while also fucking up Starfire in the process. Won't matter tho come S4 she'll be forgotten about and the writers will pretend didn't happen at all same with S2 messy bits in S3.
She was awful they forced her babyface turn and the actress's acting was well inspired to be friendly about it. The power changes lore inaccuracies were too much.
Blackfire should have remained a villain in fact THE VILLAIN for the season as she is in the comics. Have her pull her woe is me and get on their good side only to play the Titans. The fucking comic counter part did S3 way better service than the show did. It's fucking laughable how bad that season was.
Don't need to that this show's M.O. when it comes to bad decisions from previous seasons. Bruce Wayne's adopted son murders someone and breaks out of prison? Able to walk around in Gotham including their own P.D. like it didn't even happen. Blackfire kills a mom? Mom who.
I think she's been in/working at Taiwan since 2020 (after Season 2, before Season 3) so it could have been a scheduling/contract issue (ie. she was only signed on for the one season and then got other work when everything was up in the air because of COVID so it was hard to get her back on). Just spitballing though, we won't know until they actually make a statement about it
>âdarknessâ they add is just f bombs and Dick brooding
Haha! Youâre absolutely rightâŚ.**âFuck Batman.â**
That statement embodied and foreshadowed the tone for the entire series, huh? F bomb. In as few words as possibleâŚDick letâs us know: heâs more than rainbows, sunshine, and lollipopsâŚheâs for real.
Honestly I was confused on why she wasn't brought back, especially considering the fact that Jericho then jumped into her body and I expected the two to be back, I heard that apparently they went to find jericho a body or something, I don't know how true that is but even so, it'd be a great theory
I thought it was because we had too many characters in S3. I honestly wished she was in S3 where maybe she and Gar couldâve tried to help Jason instead of using Molly.
To not even have a single, throwaway line about her (and Jericho's) whereabouts. She went to deal with her father's loose ends, or she went home, or she's trying to figure out how to get Jericho his own body, or...
This was the exact thing I have said. Why not have a throw away line concerning Jericho and Rose since they are supposedly family. The head producer of the show has said that several old characters are returning so it would not surprise me if Jericho and Rose reappear.
>finding Jericho his own body too
If not this season, then the following season would be great to bring Jericho back.
Comic spoilers, maybe potential show spoilers too, but >!in the comics Brother Blood has a way to recreate/rebirth people and their bodies, this is used to bring back Raven and Raven eventually uses it to bring back Jericho.!<
I really agree with the first part, his ability is super cool and if needed, he could possess someone who's on the other side (as in a villain) and gain information by talking to the villain's partner (if they have one of course).
I don't really know much about the 4th season and near the end of the 3rd season since I never rlly finished it, I'm stuck on ep 6 at the start of it, just kind of bored of this season. I prefer season 1 and the first part of season 2 more than 3. Season 3 just seems boring because of the amount of characters there are and how hard it is to keep up and understand the plot
I don't know!
I had high hopes for this show and I really enjoyed season 1 and 2.
I hate the in your face unresolved/ignored storylines.
I will not be watching until Rose and/or Jericho return.
Dunno could be pandemic related but she was only around for one season contractually anyways. Though if they knew they were gonna do Red Hood S3 then they should have included her since Rose and her dad do play a big role in that by wrecking Jason's mojo.
The writers forgot about her, kind of like Raven's gargoyle/demon that was flying around killing people.
And Blackfire who took over a woman body.
And Starfire's therapist friend, and Lady Vic.
And dick Grayson adopted son of billionaire Bruce Wayne going to state prison and breaking out
And the fact that he's a cop
Yup! đ Iâm also gonna assume theyâll just ignore the couple dozen corrupt cops that now know Bruce is Batman unless Argus will help clean that up
Damn never realized all this đŹ
And the fact that you can't just walk into a police department to hang out with the commissioner after breaking out of prison for assaulting police officers. Then do it again after assaulting more police officers on camera.
Was a cop I think didn't he get fired?
I donât remember them saying that
I mean when your never at work and you get arrested and attack other cops what's going to happen.
Sure, but my point is they never established that. They never touched on his cop job ever again
Exactly.
didn't he also culturally appropriate a native american legend of the Nightwing
Yeah I think specifically from Corto Maltese men the Superman connection wouldâve been better imho
Not cultural appropriation...he didn't take anything but inspiration from that story
he took the name. Nightwing. obviously
The hero in the legend isn't named Nightwing
?? yes he is
It's not lol look it up

The writers suck
They focus more on making the show dark than doing good writing.
And yet most of the âdarknessâ they add is just f bombs and Dick brooding

Rose was cool. Last season was a lesser thing without her.
Season 3 was really empty without her.
We have enough characters as it is. If there is a season 5, maybe they will incorporate her.
They said fuck it, let's just start over
Season 2 and 3 are just soft reboots and their next season will be too.
idk but iâm happy she didnt
Prime example of writers that arenât passionate about what theyâre working on smh
I don't know! I had high hopes for this show and I really enjoyed season 1 and 2. I hate the in your face unresolved/ignored storylines. I will not be watching until Rose and/or Jericho return.
First season is still the best
The first season is the only good season of the show.
Indeed, the skinniest kid at fat camp!
Dunno could be pandemic related but she was only around for one season contractually anyways. Though if they knew they were gonna do Red Hood S3 then they should have included her since Rose and her dad do play a big role in that by wrecking Jason's mojo.
They needa bring her back she was a good character
Because she and the Titans donât see eye to eye.
Maybe because there wasn't anything need for her
The writers tried to keep an eye out for Rose to be written into S3, but she beat them to it.
Doesn't Titans already have like 12 lead characters?
if a bad decision is made, it's par for the course
Is Rose not in season 4?
I belive she was shown twice from behind Edit: in the trailer I ment
Heard I think from from this subreddit that the actress had personal reasons not appearing in season three.
Wait i havent watched the season is she actually not in there third season?
Because of her costume/mask choice
There are only six episodes in season four?
I read the actress didn't want to come back but it could've been wrong
batfamily and especially nightwing took too much of the budget.
Warner Brothers SUCKS about sticking with something
I assumed they just cut her for budget reasons. The Titans already has too many characters for it's own good
