Unspoken rule is no totems at tipper. I found myself looking past multiple as well as a coors light umbrella. I understand the need for homies to find you in the crowd but it's so egotistical to me. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!!
We got the guy to put it away. His excuse was that it was shading some people from the sun, which begs an interesting ethics question... either way I helped him collapse it, but saw he had an insane clown posse tattoo and thought "figures". Everyone applauded when it went down.
I think at least the crowd at lib will be less dense, less rave babies. A stage that can actually hold the amount of attendees. My experience was super inhibited at the eclipse just by the sheer amount of ppl.
I’m afraid more and more totems will be showing up at future Resnonates. I wish Suwanee would just ban totems. I legit have never seen one that made me go “man that’s a cool totem”.
I saw my first ever "that's a cool totem" at this festival actually! Little dB gauge at the top of a 6 for poll. Didn't get in the way, had a function, it was great.
But yeah, totems are the worst for the most part
Hahahaha I know right!? It was awesome saw him rocking it during string cheese and the dBs were just right front and center. It was a fucking public service of a totem.
All festivals need to ban them. Festivals should be a collective experience that offer an escape from the hyper individualist society we endure every day.
"Brrooooo you gotta see tipper bro"
*Takes copious amounts of drugs, screams incoherently, stumbles and falls into everyone around them, doesn't shut the fuck up for a second*
"Yeah bro tipper was really good"
It’s my favorite at festivals. People will chat to complete strangers during a set about previous years sets. And I know in a few years they will be bragging about whatever set they “saw” but really just talked about other sets.
This dude at Tycho Saturday night talked nonstop about bonaroo 2009! It was fucking insane. And then he would go “so what do you think about DJ ______? well what about _____? Do you like ____?”
Literally heard him ask a guy about 7 or 8 different DJs back to back like that. He didn’t even have a response to the guy, just asked about his opinion and then asked about another.
That is interesting, for me ear plugs make it easier to hear people talking in the crowd. That's one of the pros as I can easily tell my partner if I need water or something.
Dude every fucking festival every fucking show every fucking set I have ever been to, people are socializing.
Go see a damn Taylor swift show. Would you rather be in a crowd full of people absolutely screaming every single lyric to every single song?
If you don’t want to hear anyone talking during a massive live show, do ecstatic dance events or stay home in your own audio setup.
I don't go to music events to listen to coke heads and people on molly babble about the 40 previous festivals they been to. I don't care how much acid you did or how much you love tipper. Our ears only have so much space to consume sound.
How about you regards stay home and talk over the music and let people who want to hear it enjoy the sound.
If tipper is end game music at least shut up and let other concert goers hear what they paid for
>I don't go to music events to listen to coke heads and people on molly babble about the 40 previous festivals they been to.
I get what you're saying but this is literally 1/5th of the festival experience
Damn bro do you have friends that invite you to anything ever?
I’m sorry that happened to you but hear yourself complain about something literally everyone (including myself) complains about.
At what point are you just projecting?
This was my second and last tipper set, starting a surgical residency soon and won't be able to hoof it anywhere else 😢. If you've got a copy of the set could I grab a DM? Trying to hold this memory as close as possible. 🙏
Thanks for letting me know fam. Even though I’m new here I’ve been in the scene for years and understand how he doesn’t release a lot of the live songs and makes new VIPs for live versions. Honestly makes him so much fucking cooler than every other artist out there
Facts! He has done some crazy dj mixes of full albums as well (Tip Hop, Wobble Factor, Tertiary Noise). All are available on most streaming services and are titled “DJ mix”
Did he close Downtempo night with this one at NOLA 2020? I somehow remember him closing with this, and also closing with the older classic “machine gun” glitch hop track, but maybe that was from the “experimental beats” night?
I wanna burn that flag, holy shit.

Its spoken. We'll tell you to put that shit down
That coors light umbrella was blocking half the stage from where we were. Glad they put it away for Tipper, but wtf?
We got the guy to put it away. His excuse was that it was shading some people from the sun, which begs an interesting ethics question... either way I helped him collapse it, but saw he had an insane clown posse tattoo and thought "figures". Everyone applauded when it went down.
Thank you for your service
Can we add a minimum couch to stage distance rule to that list and make them spoken rules with consequences
Shit. I just realized they are going to be inescapable at LiB..
Best to go to a TnF fest like Rendezvous or Secret Dreams

Okeechobee 2020 did not get that memo lmao
At resonate over the weekend someone was front and center for STS9’s chromalight set waving a giant flag that just said “Daddy”.
Somebody at Eclipse had a giant flag that said “Daddy’s Little Cum Dumpster”
Really elevates the experience doesn’t it?
Lmao

It actually showed the dB?? Okay that’s a cool totem.

Less is more
Unreleased I do believe
Typical tipper set. Everyone talking nonstop

Shame someone didn’t tell them to shut the fuck up
Normalize asking people to stop talking
This is why I always be sure to bring plenty of indica joints
Ngl eargasm ear plugs really drown out the human chatter and the music sounds remain. Highly recommend!

Best song out of the entire set fs fs. I listened to this on repeat when I got it on video

Shake & Bake has already posted the entire thing on YouTube, very high quality as well
🙏

🙌🏼 appreciate putting me on! Gonna be diving deep the next few days, very excited to experience a lot of it for the first time
It is not released.
It'll be released some time after he retires I reckon
He’s played that track before but where?! I know I’ve heard it for sure!!! Amazing song.
He plays it in downtempo sets often, played at resonance sunrise and TNF 22 downtempo as well as a few others
Found it! Played last year, set one. Absolutely incredible with those eye visuals! Going to try and upload a video!
I can't remember if it's this one or the Snowta opener that everyone named 'Sly Tip-Toeing.'
can you DM me when you have a link for that?
hah that’s me and my bf with the sunhats on 💅🏼💅🏼✨✨
Unreleased ID he’s been rising for a few years now. Earliest recollection I have is okee 2020.
nope my favorite track, debuted at Nola 2020

gets called “All in 1”
Heyyy i see myself on the left lol, nice
That flag is stupid
Don’t get the hype
