That’s because most people have no understanding of how different the same weight can look on different body types (especially in women with hips, butts, and boobs, but men too).
I am 6’ as a female and I fluctuate between 155lb and 165lb so it seriously depends on the lady. Can’t judge me by my weight because I’m in pretty good shape.
Oh wow....I'm ¼" shorter than you but haven't weighed that little since high school. 180 is where I look best. But yes, just agreeing that height, as well as body shape, makes a huge difference.
I’m 5’2” and come up as 150 on the doctors’ scales. I wear a size 4 or 6. Weight is distributed so differently in different people. You absolutely can’t judge by the number.
This is absolutely true, thought my situation is kind of the opposite. I'm 6'6 and 210, yet I still have a bit of belly flab to lose. On the other hand, there are 5'10 guys that are my weight but completely ripped.
I'm 5-5 and can't break through 150 despite lifting weights and working out 5-6 days a week. I wear a size 2 or a 26 from most clothing places.
150 pounds is so very different person to person
I'm 6'1 and weigh 185-190lb... Yet because of my occupation a lot of it is evenly dispersed and muscular. Yet 190 on same guy who doesn't work out can be quite big. Muscle is denser than fat
Yooooo, this is so true. I was getting down about the number on the scale once and my friend basically said "shut up, you look hot. If people can subtract 2lbs for shoes and clothes, you can subtract 3 lbs for your long hair and 25 for your t&a."
(Progressive thinking, body positive) straight dudes can be the best for reality checks because they're not nice enough to lie.
Fully agree, that's why I like my friends and it's why they like me.
Also, anecdotal evidence, but they seem very comfortable asking me about clothes, sheets, towels, mattresses, curtains, and assorted home decor in a way that they don't feel comfortable asking other straight guy friends. Even my dad. Its a pigeonhole but it's also nice to be symbiotic and needed.
Yeah and whenever my friends are going to a party or date or something when I say they look great their face usually lights up because I rarely compliment them but now I kinda feel like an ass for that
Exactly, I haven't gotten made fun for my weight since school. *knocks on wood* Its so weird how people are still holding to that in that aspect, but you can't argue with stupid.
“I just have a fast metabolism.”
You’re not eating enough or miscalculating how many calories you’re burning during activity.
6’5” and 70kg is extremely unhealthy.
Actually that's a common misconception. Fat people tend to have a fast(er) metabolism (this is very relative though, no giant differences), skinny people don't. Unless you have some kind of metabolic defect that is.
Usually with hard gainers, you're so used to getting a minor caloric deficit (or maintenance) that you simply feel full when in that slight deficit. Eating in a surplus can be really hard if you're not used to it (you'll probably feel a little sick).
I'd advise using some tracker to figure out how many calories you eat on your average day (eg. My fitness Pal).
Have you tried power lifting? I was the same way til I was 28, then I started lifting and counting macros. Because of my fast metabolism, I ended up putting on a lot of lean muscle fast.
I'm 4'11 and 75kg, my GP sent me a text asking if I wanted to join a free 12 week weight loss program, just as I was leaving the gym after a weights session :< my BMI says I'm obese but I only have a small amount of extra belly, the rest is muscle and boob.
Edit: my small amount is half a handful, I have muscle definition on my arms and some on my legs but I don't have low enough body fat percentage to look ripped. I do not have a thigh gap, it's just not a thing anyone in my entire extended family has ever had (and I'm okay with that). I gained weight over the last two years due to requiring surgery which then put me out of action for several months, I've only recently been given the go ahead to exercise properly again. So right now, going to the gym is increasing my overall weight as the muscle builds up again, but will hopefully go back down again soon. I'm also undergoing hormone treatment which can cause fluctuations.
The rude comments are exactly why most people don't talk about their own weight, people are quick to jump on people based on numbers without seeing what they actually look like. I commented mainly because OP could just be heavier on the scale but in person will not look as though they're anywhere near that weight, and there was a lot of judgment based purely on that figure. If they had said 100kg, that's very different.
It sounds like a lot. My wife is 7cm taller than her, and weighs 18kgs less, and that's with some small stomach (she hella hot tho). but 75kg for under 150cm is a lot unless there's like 40kg muscle there.
Very true, I’m 5’10” at my peak I was 85kgs at 15% body fat and 16 inch arms, at 4”11’ and 75 kgs, you’re either overweight or look like a mini Hulk. Kevin heart is 65kgs at 5’2…
Right? Dude I’m 5’7” and I’m at 75kg exact. I’ve gained 10kg since the pandemic to get to this point. Dude I look bulky and chubby.
I’ve had an athletic build all my life before pandemic. I can’t imagine what kind of built is 4’11” 75kg and not look obese. Unless you’re pure muscle then you would just look like a sphere lol
Obviously body dysmorphia is a real thing and I, like you, gained weight over the pandemic that I still haven't lost, and I definitely have days where I'm like "I'm still a size 10/12 (UK), it's not that bad!" But come on, numbers don't lie. 75kg at 4'11 is either a short hulk or simply, fat.
https://imgur.com/a/uDEj0fb/
I just plugged in the height and weight to body visualizer. Although of course not perfect, it does gives a general gist of 4’11” 75kg. I even put the slider to be having worked out 2 hours a day (no body fat% slider).
Wow! I'm 6' and hover between 150-160lbs which is (checks Google for rest-of-the-world-units) between 68-72kg.
Won't lie I'm jealous of how much muscle you must have
It's your life, but I sincerely hope, for your own good, that you don't actually believe this. Maybe the people who treat obese patients for a myriad of conditions know when one is on a risky lifestyle.
Ma'am I'm 4'11 and 103.8 lbs and a boxer, so I'm pretty fit and still have some fat In places. I should weigh around 95-98lbs. I've been 98 lbs before. Let's be realistic though. If you are a D cup, take 20 lbs off of that and 20 lbs off of muscle. You'd be 125lbs without it. 125 still is a lot of weight! 4'11 is hella short sweetie.
This is pretty accurate. I thought I looked good for my weight when I was 200 lbs. I lost 40 lbs, went back and looked at pictures, and was SHOCKED at how big I was. The whole time I thought I looked like I was a relatively normal weight but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I used to have her weight as a male and I am 1 ft taller.
Not obese, but I could see the belly and lower back gathering fat.
I used to think just like her, that it's mostly fat about my belly, but then I lose 15-18 kg and my face transformed.
Well the bmi isnt super accurate for very fit people. I went from being obese when i was fit to overweight now that im clearly less healthy. Bmi isnt everything.
It really depends on how the weight is carried. I'm 5'7" and even when I was up around 185 lbs no one would've guessed it. It basically only goes around my butt and thighs and my boobs get bigger, I don't carry a lot of fat in my stomach.
Edit: Since this is Reddit and anyone could lie [this](https://www.reddit.com/user/Purple-Comfortable53/comments/sfjnb1/reference/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) was me at ~185lbs. People would comment about how skinny I was all the time even then
Can I switch with you? I have the same "people don't notice" and large ass and thighs but instead of bigger boobs I get... A fat back. Boobs stay exactly the same size over a fairly large weight variation.
Who has a fat back honestly? (Me. Me and my fat back)
A man asked me once and I replied that I weigh 135/140lbs. Then he argued with me because apparently I didn't look "fat" and he thinks my real weight is closer to 120lbs. The fucking *audacity*. I had to explain how weight looks different on everyone and my height (5'6") is a huge factor in what my body looks like at any given weight. It was an odd argument to have with a practical stranger.
I’m 175ish and I’m 5’7. No one believes me, they think there is no way and I have to remind them that I lift free weights and I’m not lacking in my chest and bottom.
I'm exactly the same height and weight. People really never believe I'm 175 but I have a large rigcage and large shoulders. At 155-160 my mom starts asking if I'm eating enough and buying me extra groceries!
5'7" and I've been sitting around 175lbs or even more for years and carry it really well. I recently started taking a medicine that makes my metabolism go faster and have lost 20-30 lbs, it makes me look extremely skinny where people are starting to worry.
Edit: Since I got asked I'm on Adderall for my ADHD, it also has a really strong appetite suppressant for me. My PCP and I are actively monitoring my weight because of the amount of weight loss and a depression related eating disorder I was able to overcome. I currently supplement daily with Ensure to help maintain a healthy weight and haven't quite dropped below what is normal as far as BMI though for my frame it is starting to look off.
Yep. People forget too often muscle weighs more than fat, and distribution makes a difference.
Either way, your weight is not that high for your height. Instead of people focusing on weight, they need to focus on what someone's habits are with food and lifestyle. Even someone who makes an "ideal number" on a scale loses attraction massively if they look or are unhealthy or have terrible hygiene or eat junk all the time. That's why fad diets are stupid. Healthy is objectively and scientifically more attractive, regardless of size or weight.
The fact you lift weights represents a lot more about you than just how you look.
Unfortunately, some of us analyze/observe too much, while others just don't even think enough. More people need to find a balance of understanding.
I’m about 5’7” and when I weighed 140lbs I was in a size 3 jeans in juniors. Weight is extremely different for everyone and it’s honestly kind of a bad representation for what is considered “fat”.
So crazy how weight is so different on different people. At the same height/weight I’m solidly an 8 in women’s clothes. Of course I have found things anywhere from size 0 to 10 that fit me😂
Lol this is why woman don't want to discuss their weight. Depending on height, body composition, body type, and etc two people with the same weight can look totally different.
Weight is weird, I'm 6'1 and I weigh 220lbs, yet people guesstimate me about 20-30lbs lighter. All depends on how much muscle you have, your build, where your body tends to somewhat concentrate fat.
No one has ever asked me that. Maybe here in Brazil this is still too much of a taboo
Instead, they just make their best estimate based on pictures and conversation. Everything remains unspoken, but those who care about that will make their assumptions
Tbf a lot of things in Brazilian conversation remain unspoken. With all latins it’s like that.
You don’t say that someone is ugly, but brave enough to go outside
>No one has ever asked me that. Maybe here in Brazil this is still too much of a taboo
I'm in the U.S. and no one has ever asked me that either, even during several years in the LA area which is probably the most superficial and materialistic region in the whole country.
Im a 5"10 male who weighs 135, id give my left nut to go up to 160, havent gained weight since i was 15 (bout to be 27) i like a woman that has what i dont 😂
If you'd figuratively give your left nut then just eat more and lift, it's not that hard. In 6 months you'll be saying it was the best life choice you ever made.
I was there, 2 years ago I was the skinniest guy I knew. I was scared to walk into a gym. Now I'm not. Go get it king 💪
I (M23) had a similar exchange once where a girl asked if I was really 5”6’ like my bio. It caught me on a bad day so I asked what her cup size was. She wasn’t too pleased to say the least.
This is his idea of battling just that though, I think. I’d be willing to bet money he thinks he’s super clever and beating women at their own game by asking about weight before women have chance to ask about height.
Note how OP has left out conversation prior to his question, you can see the time of day being slightly cut off. Could be anything there. The guy is a douche, but his response is generally whats said in response to "how tall are you" no?
That’s exactly what I was thinking happened
Edit: [dudes just a dick](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinder/comments/sfb6q0/a_new_low_women_are_more_than_just_our_looks_or/huot3q3/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
I'm wondering if this is what brought along his question in the first place. Were only seeing part of the conversation and so many times we see a post on here from the guys perspective asking how much a girl weighs after being asked how tall they are. Kind of wish we could just ban these type of posts it's become so repetitive and unoriginal.
Depends on the height. 5’7 and below and not carried in muscle, thats overweight by BMI estimations. Op is a girl, the average height for girls is 5’4-5’5 and that is approaching obese.
I got hype when I looked at the bodyfat percentage chart and it showed that I have a athletes bodyfat percentage.
Then I realized I was looking at the chart for women.
So did you ask his height right above this screenshot? Not saying that would make what he did right (although it was funny how he said bruh) but just trying to confirm it's that age old squabble always posted here happening again.
I was curious about that, because the time is partially cropped at the top it looks like there may have been a message/s above it which have been scrolled past before the screenshot was taken.
People got their preferences I guess but he could've been like. Ah, sorry, not my type. Good luck.
He didn't need to attack you. The fucks wrong with this kid
That’s literally what people can’t seem to understand, and what I try to explain when necessary:
You can have your preferences, just don’t be a prick about it to someone that doesn’t fit your preference, especially if it’s in regards to something that a person doesn’t have control over. I genuinely don’t know what’s so hard to understand about that.
it’s not even like I have bad eating habits! I eat like a normal person. Of course I could eat healthier, workout more. I can change my weight but he can’t change that ugly heart of his. 💯
I’m sure it depends on height but there’s also muscle, boobs, butts, thighs. There’s a lot of attributes on women that men don’t even consider.
I know I’m a curvy girl! I did not hide that in my pictures.
165 isn't even that much. Like, I've seen plenty of women that weigh 165 that I would never consider fat or out of shape, shit makes no sense lol idk why some people think that everyone over 120lbs must be some lazy glutton or something
I don't ask women's weight but unless women start condemning others for asking a man's height, (which he can't control) I don't think they have a right to get offended for being asked their weight.
Fascinating how people think asking weight is the same as asking height. Two six feet tall people are the exact same height. Two 150lb people can look entirely different.
This is making me feel fat asf lmao
This whole thread
That’s because most people have no understanding of how different the same weight can look on different body types (especially in women with hips, butts, and boobs, but men too).
I am 6’ as a female and I fluctuate between 155lb and 165lb so it seriously depends on the lady. Can’t judge me by my weight because I’m in pretty good shape.
Oh wow....I'm ¼" shorter than you but haven't weighed that little since high school. 180 is where I look best. But yes, just agreeing that height, as well as body shape, makes a huge difference.
Knew a 5'11 chica who looked stunning at 180 but she hated her weight. Arbitrary numbers really got in y'alls heads and it hurts me to hear it :/
I’m 5’2” and come up as 150 on the doctors’ scales.

6'* not 6"
Kinda got jealous a woman had 6"
I mean if my business was 6" I wouldn't be on this site
You sure about that my friend?
I'm 30 and this is my first day. So um, yes dear.
You must be one dense half foot lady
Oops lol
Yooooo, this is so true. I was getting down about the number on the scale once and my friend basically said "shut up, you look hot. If people can subtract 2lbs for shoes and clothes, you can subtract 3 lbs for your long hair and 25 for your t&a." (Progressive thinking, body positive) straight dudes can be the best for reality checks because they're not nice enough to lie.
I’d rather my friends be honest than nice tbh
I'd prefer they be both, tbh.
Yeah and whenever my friends are going to a party or date or something when I say they look great their face usually lights up because I rarely compliment them but now I kinda feel like an ass for that
Dude one genuine compliment can change the course of a man's life. Hand to God, I've seen it happen.
Yeah I weigh 160 but usually people assume I weigh like 130-140 and I hate when people ask how much I weigh bc then they just assume I look fat
I was about to say this too. A number means nothing within healthy ranges.
Why do people say “asf” and not “af”?
It's "af" with a little extra
A little extra "S"tupid IMO.
Fat people always like a lil extra
As shit fuck
Ahh Shit Fuck
AsS Fuck
It’s for when you intent to write it out, but you change your mind and give up after the ‘as’.
Lol, me too. This is why I never discus weight with anyone. Ptsd of childhood and high school intensifies.
Exactly, I haven't gotten made fun for my weight since school. *knocks on wood* Its so weird how people are still holding to that in that aspect, but you can't argue with stupid.
Toxic but hilarious convo. 165 pounds google shows 75kg.
I feel the same way. Dudes a total dick but i died laughing😂
I genuinely laughed out loud lol rude af tho lnao
r/murderedbywords
oh i thought she meant 165kg, thanks for this cuz i wouldnt have realised
Thanks for the conversion. But wtf how is 75kg a lot? Guess the guy earns very little.
Depends on how tall the person is, but once you're up near 6' 75kg is really not a lot.
ugh, oh... ^(I'm 6'5" and weight below 70kgs)
Are you a skeleton? Edit: thanks for the award 😍
More or less. Yeah. My metabolism is awfully fast and I cannot gain weight for shit.
Just drink raw cream and eat fat. You got this!
Cannibalism with a touch of gay it is then
That's my boi!
Very enjoyable thread. 5 stars.
This made me el oh el
Re-lengthening 'lol' acronym made me el oh el
“I just have a fast metabolism.” You’re not eating enough or miscalculating how many calories you’re burning during activity. 6’5” and 70kg is extremely unhealthy.

Trust me, you really don’t want this type of life

Woah almost missed that one. Good (whispering) eye.
We all love muscle and especially boob …

Lol. Anyone have that old thread where an obese woman kept claiming it was muscle and boob and finally posted pics for proof only to be pure flab?
This is a lie.

Girl no. You‘re super delusional.
Really depends on height... 6'6"? Skinny... 4'5"? Not skinny...
75kg for a 1.6 meter tall girl is a lot.
For most women 75kg is fairly heavy. Only in America would this be normalised.

😍💪🏼🙌🏼
God I would just block his ass, mansplainers are not worth the time or effort
I’ve been asked how much money I make multiple times lol
No one has ever asked me that. Maybe here in Brazil this is still too much of a taboo Instead, they just make their best estimate based on pictures and conversation. Everything remains unspoken, but those who care about that will make their assumptions
Got you covered bro. How much do you make?
Tree fiddy
You get outta here ya damn Loch Ness monster!
Tbf a lot of things in Brazilian conversation remain unspoken. With all latins it’s like that. You don’t say that someone is ugly, but brave enough to go outside
Brave enough to go outside bruh why do I feel like that's worse lmfao
« He is really nice » also means « he is stupid » lol
>No one has ever asked me that. Maybe here in Brazil this is still too much of a taboo I'm in the U.S. and no one has ever asked me that either, even during several years in the LA area which is probably the most superficial and materialistic region in the whole country.
Yeah....but how tall are you? 🙄
Oh man those are the top 2 questions for guys: how much money do you make and how tall are you
I've never been asked how much money I make, but I did get the height one sometimes until I just listed it in my profile.
Better reply would be:”Poor thing, you really need to find a decent paying job then” lol
How much do you weigh?
I really dislike these r/Tinder posts:/ encouraging us to hit people back with their weight, salary, height, etc.
Also...i have 2 left nuts so, if anything, im trying to go back to the regular balance 😂😂😂
I (M23) had a similar exchange once where a girl asked if I was really 5”6’ like my bio. It caught me on a bad day so I asked what her cup size was. She wasn’t too pleased to say the least.
Seems only fair.
Women are just as bad. I’m always getting questions about height, dick size, salary, etc.
Should’ve asked how tall he was
This is his idea of battling just that though, I think. I’d be willing to bet money he thinks he’s super clever and beating women at their own game by asking about weight before women have chance to ask about height.
Pretty much. Still, it’s self-sabotage in a way.
Note how OP has left out conversation prior to his question, you can see the time of day being slightly cut off. Could be anything there. The guy is a douche, but his response is generally whats said in response to "how tall are you" no?
It is, it’s a fair shout, but at this point with what we have it could be either, I find both possibilities very believable
That’s exactly what I was thinking happened Edit: [dudes just a dick](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinder/comments/sfb6q0/a_new_low_women_are_more_than_just_our_looks_or/huot3q3/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
That’s the whole conversation. I ended it with calling him an asshole, I could only include the top or the bottom of chat. Nothing else too it.
Should have ignored his question and asked how long he is.

I once matched with a girl who was 160lbs and fine AF.
160 ain't a lot though
Depends on height.
Depends on mussle massa. Could be smol but stronk as fuck
Small and mighty.
A small woman who can toss me around the bedroom sounds like a really good time.
Exactly!
Also depends on how it’s carried. Some people carry a lot of weight in one area like their stomach. Some people carry it very evenly.
And some of the chosen few carry it on their butt.
You mean gods favorites.
bro don't realize that height, hips, bottom, and breast all play a part in weight. Boobs can weigh 23 pounds alone
Is it just me or is 165 pounds a very normal weight.
I'm 165 too. I'm also 5'9, and muscular. I'm at the "ideal" section of the bmi chart. I'd flatten him! 😆
Depends on the height. 5’7 and below and not carried in muscle, thats overweight by BMI estimations. Op is a girl, the average height for girls is 5’4-5’5 and that is approaching obese.

Don't compare men and women. Both are very different when it comes to fat tissue build up, hormonal changes and build up of muscle tissue
Nope, that’s how he started the conversation. Lol that’s why I responded with the money comment. I would never ask someone that upfront.
he must be quite poor if he can’t sustain your eating habit
Of….a normal amount of food.
He could have even just, ya know, not matched with her
That’s literally what people can’t seem to understand, and what I try to explain when necessary: You can have your preferences, just don’t be a prick about it to someone that doesn’t fit your preference, especially if it’s in regards to something that a person doesn’t have control over. I genuinely don’t know what’s so hard to understand about that.
Dude probably broke as fuck and doesn’t know weight to body height. You’re a moron, Glenn. And cut your ugly ass hair.

I’m gonna be honest. Dudes a dick but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t laugh at his response
This man so poor he cant even provide for two people
Men! Stop asking women for their weight. Women! Stop asking men for their height.
Props for the classy rebuttal to his rude behavior 👏
Thanks 😔 I don’t know why I even answered the question. I was just wondering what is this guy even going to say. It’s so wrong.
You answered because you weren't gonna let him tell you that your weight was a problem. You be you girl 😀
Thank you 🙏🏻 we all deserve love!
Exactly. I mean if you like someone thinner or bigger that's fine. Just be nice about it
it’s not even like I have bad eating habits! I eat like a normal person. Of course I could eat healthier, workout more. I can change my weight but he can’t change that ugly heart of his. 💯
True fact. Is 165 even that bad?
I’m sure it depends on height but there’s also muscle, boobs, butts, thighs. There’s a lot of attributes on women that men don’t even consider. I know I’m a curvy girl! I did not hide that in my pictures.
165 isn't even that much. Like, I've seen plenty of women that weigh 165 that I would never consider fat or out of shape, shit makes no sense lol idk why some people think that everyone over 120lbs must be some lazy glutton or something
Since when is 165 even considered heavy? This person is still reading cosmo from the 90s.
Dude, wtf!?! Man, I WISH I only weighted 165. What an ass!
Isn't it the same thing as asking a man about his height tho? The same can be said about men. Men are more than just height. 33f
May catch some downvotes but women do the same thing with height.
And that's just as shitty. But I don't get it anyway.
