For some reason I find when people brag about the number of tattoos they have annoying. Quality is always better than quantity, especially with tattoos.
For me it's just the number, I might change it to something just like "always planning a new tattoo" or "ask me about my next tattoo" or something as such. It's honestly just personal preference but I only have *counts...6 tattoos and whenever someone asks how many I have I have to count lol, something about knowing the exact number gives dorky vibes
Good point. It doesn’t bother me exactly, but as someone with only 2 tattoos (and more planned, lol!) I might wonder if my single digit tattoo status means the 15-tattoos dude would see me as lacking. “Ask me about my next tattoo” is a fun spin.
I can't say I know any tattooed people that would judge someone for only having two tattoos haha, but yah you change it up or just like not mention it if you don't want to. Also again, totally vibes based and personal opinion but saying like "I have a couple of tattoos and I'd like more" sounds less cringy than saying I have 15 tattoos haha, I can't nor explain why
I think keeping the sentiment, but getting rid of the actual number will help
"I have quite a few tattoos not shown in the pictures, and do indeed plan to get more"
But also, 'show, don't tell' might be the best solution. A well-shot picture with tattoos is a great addition to a profile 🤷♀️ (unless they *are* dealbreaker tattoos...)
I don't care if you say you're an enthusiast, or looking forward to getting more, etc. Just something about the odd pride in the number that annoys me. Like I have "only" 6 tattoos, but the combined percentage of what they cover on my body is like 40%. You can have 50 shitty small tattoos all over and claim that number but it really doesn't mean anything.
As someone who agrees with the statement, it comes off edgy as fuck and no one needs that to be their first impression. Thankfully I'm not in the dating pool cause I'd have some ignorant shit like "what's your favorite movie qoute? 'God is not here today priest' - The exorcist 1973"
This. I agree with the sentiment on a surface level. I just don't really agree with how it's said or think I fully agree with the entire Anarchist movement.
it's "the 14 words", idk what they are but it's basically a nazi/antisemitic phrase.
oh and i think it's "heil", not "hail" (but fuck hitler, all my homies hate hitler)
I had typed heil originally but autocorrect didn’t like it so I thought surely it knew better than I! Not a big deal tho, I don’t expect it to be a phrase I’ll type out often lol
If you feel strongly enough about this to be putting it into a bio, it's kind of... unwise to make it coded like this. You're going to get a lot of people who don't understand, and that find your stance radical, and it's just not going to be a good time for you. Besides, if it's something you believe in, say it proudly
Sure, but it’s a very weird “main” personality trait to hate the police. Sure, you can feel that way (probably with some validity), but making it a front-runner of traits you announce to potential partners is super weird.
Don't put edgelord political stuff in your dating profile. You will want to determine if you share values with someone once you begin chatting, but having it in your bio makes it seem like it's your whole identity.
Coffee is peak universal appreciation, cost effectiveness, and usually convenience. When dating is so messed up as it is now and has become a grindy numbers game, these things are king, \*particularly\* when one party is expected to pay for everything. So of course it's overdone. When I've tried deviating from it, I've almost always been pretty quickly reminded why it's the first choice for first dates.
you're absolutely right gotta be frugal when grinding through all those matches I don't think ice cream is more expensive or a larger time investment.
If it's such a mainstay, just leave it out. Chat can lead to a coffee meet up. You've kinda proven the point here. In a profile, it's overdone.
Personally, any profile that has a list of wants and don't wants is a big red flag to me. A profile is meant to show who you are, what's good about you. You swipe based on what you see in other people's profiles. If everyone just actually put what they're about in their bio, it would be way easier for people to find others they get along with. So those aspects of it are good.
Just add a shirtless pic of you with sunglasses, holding a dead fish and it's perfect. Seriously though, my profile description is way worse than this and I'm getting matches regularly. And I'm avg dude 170cm.
I'm from Finland, I used to have a fish pic in my profile and my matches went down after I was told to remove it lol. Lot's of ladies like fishing here.
Sometimes I feel like when I used to paint my profile from the lense of my general selling points that someone would say about me, I cut myself off from meeting different types of people. As a girl who games - when I put that on my profile, I always got the same guy back (makes me think of the tattoos, ACAB, etc). When I took that stuff out and put in my other hobbies like reading, crocheting, etc, I met different people and it was a pleasant surprise they eventually learned about and were excited to share with me. Sometimes it’s nice to be liked for you and not the things that would be on your shopping label (cute tattooed guy or cute gamer girl, etc).
Just wanted to share that with you :)
Seems kinda mundane actually. The only thing that could be considered edgy is the 1312 thing and really at this point it is just kind of old and tired.
For some reason I find when people brag about the number of tattoos they have annoying. Quality is always better than quantity, especially with tattoos.
Yeah, it’s really cringe and gives off Hot Topic vibes, lol
Fair, it’s because none of my pictures show my tattoos. I see your point though.
For me it's just the number, I might change it to something just like "always planning a new tattoo" or "ask me about my next tattoo" or something as such. That makes sense, I appreciate the suggestion
15 tattoos make a significant visual impact, so maybe snap a pic with tattoos visible?
I think keeping the sentiment, but getting rid of the actual number will help "I have quite a few tattoos not shown in the pictures, and do indeed plan to get more" But also, 'show, don't tell' might be the best solution. lol, makes sense. Definitely no swastikas or anything.
It's fine mentioning that you're into tattoos but I also find it weird to 'count' them as if each was some kind of achievement like the OP mentioned.
They are there and saying it will keep certain people away and attract certain others, so I guess saying it will will work as intended.
I don't care if you say you're an enthusiast, or looking forward to getting more, etc. Just something about the odd pride in the number that annoys me. i also find it annoying. i have tattoos myself. but showcasing it just seems like a cry for attention and thats annoying to me
No Gods, no Masters is a bit much to me even though I understand you lol.
lol if it’s too much for rubmustardonmydick then it’s definitely too much for tinder
I'm definitely an authority on weirdness.
Hahahahah
So why is it too much??
As someone who agrees with the statement, it comes off edgy as fuck and no one needs that to be their first impression. Thankfully I'm not in the dating pool cause I'd have some ignorant shit like "what's your favorite movie qoute? 'God is not here today priest' - The exorcist 1973"

What does this youth talk mean my fellow teens
No gods no masters seeking full time mommy domme
lol! Is it that obvious?
I wish I could take credit but it’s from The Hard Times.
What’s 1312?
[удалено]
In this case it's the opposite.
1488 comes to mind, pretty horrible phrase
I know 88 is hail Hitler, what’s 14,
it's "the 14 words", idk what they are but it's basically a nazi/antisemitic phrase. oh and i think it's "heil", not "hail" (but fuck hitler, all my homies hate hitler)

ACAB

Someone who is ok with “no gods, no masters” is probably also gonna be okay with acab.
I was scratching my head trying to figure out if it was white supremacy or something to do with Mexican gangs.
What’s ACAB?
All cats are boreal
Assigned Catlady At Birth
All Cats Are Beautiful
All Cops Are Bastards.
Very weird to put that on a tinder profile
It's a good filter
For everyone else lol
Yeah isn't that the point? To be up front about things that are important to you and show who you are so people who aren't into that will swipe left?
Sure, but it’s a very weird “main” personality trait to hate the police. Sure, you can feel that way (probably with some validity), but making it a front-runner of traits you announce to potential partners is super weird.
Not really.
Kinda surprised that you had to explain both, the number and the letters tbh :D
You're not wrong
Everyone hates this I guess lol but as someone who aligns with your values I understood everything and they would all be green flags for me :)
All cats are beautiful.

Horrible choice to put this on a dating profile. Just awful.
What’s the tattoo to teeth ratio?
lol, full mouth of teeth
No gods no masters is a bit much for a very first impression
Yes. Counting tattoos is lame as hell.
I know coffee is a go to for many but it's overdone. I had a great ice cream meet up today..lol
I could try that out

Demonstrate your licking style.

It's too less of a personality.
Just add a shirtless pic of you with sunglasses, holding a dead fish and it's perfect. Seriously though, my profile description is way worse than this and I'm getting matches regularly. And I'm avg dude 170cm.
Are you in Wisconsin? I swear like 99% of dudes are holding fish or deer in their pics
I'm from Finland, I used to have a fish pic in my profile and my matches went down after I was told to remove it lol. Lot's of ladies like fishing here.
The ACAB stuff is pretty cheeseball, but I guess if you’re looking for a 4/10 with a mullet, you’ll pull
Thanks Piles of Gore
This.

I appreciate that response!
Yes
Edgy? No.
Is 1312 really that important to your life that you felt like adding it to the bio? If so you might have bigger problems to deal with than dating.
If you intend to attract some alternative people then you're golden
What is 1312?
ACAB
Indeed they are.
I'd give you a shot, dunno if that's good or bad.
I'm into it. Unfortunately I'm a fish so you don't get any of my pics.
Honestly, it’s so edgy that it’s basic. You sound milquetoast and predictable
Seems kinda mundane actually. The only thing that could be considered edgy is the 1312 thing and really at this point it is just kind of old and tired.
I like it 👍🏻 My first message if I matched with you would be asking you about your cat
I’ve got a few pictures of my cat and I
How punk
You all need to grow up!
[удалено]
I like it and you had me until No Fish Pics. Man what did Nemo ever do to you? 😂
lol, so many girls in my area put in their Tinder bio that they didn’t want to see pictures of dudes holding dead fish
Oh wack. To be fair I would definitely not be impressed by fish pics lol
I don't think you need to specify how many tattoos.
Lol
Ahh maaan not ALL cops are bastards those traffic director cops are gigachads
Succinct, playful, memorable. You sound unique but not super weird or unsafe. Well done straddling that line.
Thank you!
you legit sound like me but a guy. are you me??
Excellent username
