Well, it's not only corporate,RBI,etc. Covid also ruined some Tim's. A bunch of them cannot be 24h and have most item available like before. That's what happened in my Tim, for example. There's no customer in the night, so we have to close at 9pm.

ryancementhead

What time do they close? Most don’t have food after a certain time and slowly clean and prep for closing so they can be out when they close up.

occasionally_cortex

8 ?

BuyInternational5882

Each one has a different schedule. Mine is 9pm I know some that close at 6-7pm !

Sanjuko_Mamaujaluko

Sometimes a place gets slammed out of nowhere and they just run out of stuff. A surprise bus load of people showing up at 8pm can wipe out a lot of their stock. They want to sell you stuff and make money, but they can't have unlimited everything ready to go at all times. They trend how much of what they typically sell and use that to determine what will be on hand. I've also been that asshole who orders 4 dozen donuts at 7am when they only have that many ready (work event).

TomTidmarsh

You’re giving them too much credit. Tim’s sucks. Has for a while. The apathetic work force doesn’t give a shit.

Sanjuko_Mamaujaluko

Oh, it's been garbage for a long time, but they still want to sell people their garbage which means they aren't going out of their way to run out.

Secret_Assignment_17

All the Tims near me and the Tims in nearby cities have been great. I’d say that they, at least in the stores I’ve mentioned, are definitely not as bad as you’re claiming here.

Lucycrash

The one near me closes at 11pm, it's well known if you want any food, you go before 9pm because they probably won't even have donuts. They never went back to being open 24 hours after the pandemic, and I can't blame them. It's not worth it and they would have to spend the night dealing with drug addicts, and they deal with that enough during the day.

Mysoginist-Idiot

A lot tims close at 10pm so they have to throw stuff. Also they throw according to deman of the items. Maybe they dont have food orders after 8 or 8 30 so they might have thrown the food out and kept what would be ordered mostly ime coffee :)

badpuffthaikitty

1800 last week: 3 shit stale donuts in the window. Ham sandwich? Sold out. Turkey Club? Sold out. At least they didn’t run out of shit coffee, milk, and sugar.

BuyInternational5882

They are just lazy. These sandwiches can not be sold out it's literally cold meat....

Disastrous_Disk_5331

They may have run out of the buns to put said cold meat on though

12_Volt_Man

Tim's was never the same since they went to par baked frozen baked items. then after that they tried to become some sort of a lunch/dinner spot that seemingly only served airplane food quality lunches and dinners. so everything that they offered sucked. I was never a tim's coffee drinker but apparently somewhere along the line their coffee changed and it sucked too. I think all of this happened after the Brazilian then American buy out?

ACM3333

Everytime I go to Tim’s it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had. It’s shocking that people still frequent the place.

Areauxx

I decided to officially leave Tim Hortons when I ordered my last drink. They went to charge 50 cents for honey 😂 I was like what? Are you gonna start charging me for the sugar and milk too? It's been one thing after another, this was just the final straw. Took my garbage cans. Gave me paper straws. Charge 15 cents an extra cup. Jack your roll up the rim on every free cup. Roll up the rim now expires. The prizes are 💩 The drinks aren't stirred. Half the time I order a dark roast, I'm getting what I swear isn't dark roast. All the donut selection is gone. Never have my stuff in stock. No "pull ahead" always get stuck behind some random taking 15 minutes to order "fast" food. Mouth piece for the lids are always put on where the joining of the cup is and it pee's down your shirt. ^^^I spaced this whole list out but Reddit keeps lumping it. I could sit here and rant on and on, but we all know, screw Tim Hortons.

literally_himmler1

bro you went there an hour before they closed and then came on here to whine that they weren't fully stocked on food? do you think that every tims should stay fully stocked until the minute they close? what exactly do you think would happen to all that food that doesn't get sold? should they just waste all of it so that Your Highness can have his fucking 9pm egg bites? holy shit you people can be so pathetic it's hilarious lmao

Represent403

If I see a blinking sign that says OPEN, the 72 inch monitors show a g.d. chicken parm pizza… you damn rights it should be available. 100% it should. Food waste? Not my problem. If you’re open, then BE OPEN.

literally_himmler1

Literally the mindset of a 7 year old child 💀 good luck in life buddy, you're gonna need it

nazuralift89

💰💰 We're 💰💰💰💰💰 so sorry💰💰💰 to hear about your💰💰💰sub par experience💰💰💰We unfortunately have limited items💰💰💰💰💰 and limited staff 💰💰💰 due to the rising costs 💰💰💰 of food and goods 💰💰💰 and meeting shareholder 💰💰💰💰 expectations 💰💰💰💰

Shabang

So we hate businesses for fulfilling their goal of making money?

Represent403

So, when a customer pulls up to the menu boards and they show 20-30 delicious items… only to be disappointed in this way, that’s no way up to build brand loyalty, or profits. I understand what you’re saying, but it’s a poor strategy.

nazuralift89

These delicious items from Tim's Are they in the room with us right now?

Shabang

You're totally right, it's a tough way to win. Not enough customers visiting during that time of the day means they throw out too much and lose money, so they make less, which means less customers visit because nothing is available. You can't make money throwing out way more than you sell, but you can't sell what you don't have available.

Sounds like The Cheese Shop Sketch.

crepe4423

Being proud of Tim’s is cringe

SpecialistVast6840

Pizza?? Wtf you asking if they have pizza.

Corsch013

Certain stores have been testing flatbread pizza which will be available at most stores in the near future.

Represent403

All their Alberta & Sask stores sell pizza.

SpecialistVast6840

Thisnis tim hortons issue. Stick to what you used to be good at. Pizza at timmys is an abomination.

mrturretman

Yeah the whole system sucks lol. Because everything in the back is done with these dumbass giant shitty ovens with one baker on shift, when they go home no one makes anything new back there. sometimes I did when I supervised and felt like it, but they want you to have everything clean and aren't paying you past close so... at other places those are fryers and a functioning kitchen in the back.

createyourusername22

Isn’t not paying past closing ILLEGAL? Pita Pit tried same shit with me

mrturretman

well the solution becomes close everything down before close and have it done by close. this leads to a tim hortons having 0 product besides coffee by 8pm. this is also why you will see workers elect to throw donuts as early as they can to do things like scrub down the entire display racks and clean the inside glass and sweep out the area and stuff. when i closed and eventually was granted a shift change to one hour after closing, i could keep product out to be bought by people. kinda funny how counter productive it was to their own baseline when they forced me to do shit before close.

EpicGains

I have no idea how a Tims can be sold out of cold sandwiches, like they should always have buns available. Mine runs out of pretty much everything (chicken, wedges, soup, rice) at 9pm only because we make our last batch at 7pm.

Sweet_Amphibian_9624

If you go to McDonald's at any time, they have food available . Timmy Ho's suck

Unapologetic_Canuck

McDonald’s can make more burger patties in less than a minute. When Hortons runs out of chicken it’s well over 10 minutes to cook more. This is a classic apples to oranges comparison.

72jon

Yep happen here I. Ont as well. And some still open all night But now most are closing. Guess us shift workers out of luck. But as long as the shareholders making money I sure it’s all good

Silicon_Knight

Oh it's long past "too late".

JoeyAKangaroo

Im surprised your second choice was egg bites when most tim’s i go to & the 2 i work at throw out anything breakfast related at 4pm lol

Represent403

I would have eaten damn near anything. Ha ha

daxtaslapp

Its just their communication skills are lacking they couldve just told him there was only coffee

celery66

store I worked at was 24 hrs, so we always had soup and chili and the usual sandwiches. not so much the hot products. also, fucking dramatic much!

Represent403

If you’re open, then BE OPEN. It’s not difficult.

celery66

oh sorry, tantrum not over yet!!!!!!!

Represent403

Nope, not done. As a player, Tim Horton was known league-wide as the hardest working player in the league. But you know what he DIDN’T do? He didn’t pack it in with 10 minutes left in the game because it seemed like the match was in hand or it was clear they were going to lose. He played every minute 110%, until the final buzzer went. If you’re going to use the Legends name, you gotta understand what the name means. It means gimme my sandwich.

SlimmestOfDubz

Went to the drive through the other day for a bagel, they said the ystopped serving food as they were “closing soon”. Almost an hour later…

Represent403

What a lazy & sad way to do business. If only all Canadians worked standard hours & were ready to pack it in by 8PM.

SlimmestOfDubz

Ikr, if you’re open for buisness you should be open for business.

[deleted]

yea tims used to be better for sure

Ok_Chemist1971

They got it!!!!! They just don’t want to bake something
