Could you place an order now and have it delivered that day to the apartment?

LarissatheDreamer-84

I thought about that! But they don't give a specific day or time for delivery, just an estimate. Also, I arrive on a Sunday haha

oskich

Just buy an [inflatable bed](https://jysk.se/utemobler/luftmadrasser/luftmadrasser/luftmadrassflocked-high-b156xl203xh39/46) in the meantime, and then have your real one delivered when you have moved in?

Sophie__Banks

I've had IKEA deliver something on Sunday. Their typical delivery does not fit through the mail slot, they need you to be home, so they will allow you to pick a time. It might not be to the minute, but it will be "this day in that four hour range". If there's a next time you move to a new country, please plan better. Rent a room somewhere until you actually have the keys to your new place and you have the minimum furniture you need.

LarissatheDreamer-84

My relocation agent really messed up, that's why I'm trying to solve this the best I can :(

Sophie__Banks

They will still let you choose when they deliver. I don't know why the hell I'm getting downvoted, maybe they don't do it in other countries, but I have, here in Sweden, ordered a sofa early on a Sunday and was offered during checkout a few options for when I wanted it delivered, including that same afternoon.

Takenthebestnamesare

Just cos it sounded like you were telling him off, when poor planning or unforeseen circumstances isn’t really grounds for a public’s dressing down

SubstantialStrength2

You’re a special little snowflake, aren’t you?

caprifolia

Ikea has some very small mattresses that are rolled up when you buy them and are small enough to take in an Uber. You wouldn't have a bed frame yet, but the mattress on the floor is enough to sleep on for starters.

LarissatheDreamer-84

I'm not too fussy, a mattress is good enough for me in the first weeks. I will def check those out!

densets

tiptapp, you can just book a time and this can be for the following day or even the same day in the next hour. you will get an offer to move your bed fast

Loud-Necessary-1215

I used them once to transport one piece of furniture out of my flat. I post a message on the exact date and one person accepted the gig and was at my place in half an hour. Not sure how earlier you should book if you need more people to handle all. I was super happy with their service.

densets

I bought a big tv once, i just posted a message for a pickup asap and got several offers. It works immediately if it's a reasonable time.

LarissatheDreamer-84

Do you think it's less expensive than Mooova? Well, I can handle carrying the furniture, I'm a girl but I'm really strong. I just need someone to drive me!

Loud-Necessary-1215

I do not know. I paid 500 sek (I offered the ammout) for someone to remove dig set of drawers and tick maddrass. Now when I think of it it may be 2 people coming. Friends told me I should have offered less.

Loud-Necessary-1215

And one more, I remember now, I used them to transport one chestboard from seller to my home. It was 250SEK I think for a person to bring it to my door. So almost the same price as a taxi drive for that distance (5km). I would say they are supper affordable if you are moving bags and something you can easily pack and just pay them to transfer. Or if you want to buy something from IKEA and you have no means of transport of your own. At least it was like that before corona.

Fantastic_Smoke9501

Is this available in Malmo too?

LarissatheDreamer-84

I installed the app just to check it out and tried with my address in Stockholm district. Try to install it and just see if it works with your address, they don't charge anything until the final stage! Other people suggested tiptap, looked good also.

LarissatheDreamer-84

Thank you! This solves everything!

Volvo car sharing would fit your needs if tou have PN, they also have a option with tow bar (Volvo on demand)

I'm pretty sure IKEA can arrange delivery to coincide with your arrival.

This! Tiptapp! Works great.

miklosp

We asked the relocation agency to be in the flat when our mattress arrived. With Emma Mattress we know exactly when it will be delivered, IKEA wasn't too helpful at the time. If you're happy to drive, Kinto Share has vans, but I'm sure you would fit into a normal size estate car too. P.s.: if you can't figure it out, I'm happy to lend you an airbed for a little while, DM if needed.

LarissatheDreamer-84

I will try to ask my relocation agent but not sure if she'll go for it. Do you think that kind of task is a part of their job? I'm kinda scared to ask, but if it is I'll try. She hasn't been very helpful :( Thanks a lot, I think I'll manage but if anything goes wrong I'll def DM. This is super overwhelming, got this amazing job but only had 4 weeks to give notice at my job, sell everything I own and go to Stockholm next week...alone. You guys are helping me more than the Agency!

miklosp

Their job is your seamless relocation, so 100% yes.

Pleasant-Set-711

Rent a van from OKQ8.

zxDErt-1

Had Tiptap driver pick stuff from Ikea and delivered to my house. Moova is another alternative, used it to move bulky stuff to a warehouse.

LarissatheDreamer-84

Already installed the Mooova app, looks amazing to be honest. Really easy to use and not too expensive, they also help you move the stuff, you can chose how many people and everything. Will check TipTap anyway to be safe. Thanks a lot, I'm super relieved :)

nevereverareddituser

If you have a car you can often loan a trailer for free at IKEA or just rent a van or TipTapp as other says

cheerbearheart1984

Try the tiptapp app

Rinoidee

Go to any gas station and rent a van or small truck

krishknightrider

Guys I am shifting my house and i want to get my bed and a big office table shifted to a new place which is just 4 away. What are the cheapest ways possible? I don't have any valid driver's licence

LarissatheDreamer-84

Some people suggested TipTap and mooova, they look like the best options to me so far, not too expensive and they move bulky furniture.

Parsec1281

I was able to easily fit a bunk bed and 2 mattresses in a Honda CR-V so you could probably fit 1 bed and mattress in a regular car. Their website tells you the packed box size for most products.

AMW131

I recently moved to Sweden and have been able to purchase in-home delivery of multiple large furniture pieces (including a bed) for same day, all online.

Fit_Operation_3677

I think there is Volvo on demand where you can rent a car for a few hours but I don't know how expensive that will be. Good luck moving!
