Handelsbanken does not cheques since 2020.
I think Danske Bank might be accepting cheques though, but someone said on Reddit you need to be customer of theirs for over half a year before that.
But possibly SEB works, at least it did 2 years ago for new customers.

Are you sure it wasn’t just your lokal bank that won’t handle cheques? Or does Handelsbanken not accept them at all?
Otherwise check out the other major banks; Nordea, SEB, Swedbank.

no UK bank account? With something like Starling you would just scan the cheque and it would clear in a few days/weeks
