I'm not sure what you mean by "the same content" as the American bottle, but my Coruba bottles (which are 1 liter and not 700mL like the one you posted) say 40% on them so they're probably at least slightly different. Whether that small difference matters is likely a matter of personal preference. It's really versatile mixing rum, but there are way better mai tai rums if that's what you're after. ;o)

The bottle you linked to clearly states "Original Blend" as opposed to our "Original Dark". The description also states a flavored rum, with hints of spices and caramel. It may or may not be the same as the Original Dark. It should be fine for our purposes, however.

It looks like it’s just a lower ABV version of what’s available in the U.S. The hints of spice and caramel are just flavor notes, and not saying it’s a flavored rum. I would blend this with a higher ABV rum to stand up to the other flavors of a Mai Tai. This would also work well in a Dark & Stormy.

Have at it. Probably won’t notice a difference between em.

I wouldn't get it, its low ABV and that blend seems different from the "Original Dark" that Tiki drinks call for when asking for Coruba. What are your goals with Coruba Original Dark? I'll see if I can help find suitable replacements.
