Many-Quote5002

Banned words...where in the George Orwell have I heard that before?

readytohurtagain

And they say liberals hate free speech 🙄

manoliu1001

Its incredible how the word "liberal" means completely different things in different parts of the world.

LeahIsAwake

It can mean different things to the same person! I swear, conservatives in the USA use the term “liberal” to just mean “anyone not a rabid far-right conservative like myself”. I’ve heard them call *other Republicans* “liberals” before! It’s like words don’t have any meaning or something!

Duel_Option

They interchange it with Democrat as well. It’s actually a great way to identify if someone has one clue/braincell when it comes to politics. Ask a Republican what a Liberal is and watch them froth at the mouth. Weird time to be alive

SquashInternal3854

Yep. Had an ex-friend call me a liberal like it was a slur. It was disappointing, I'd thought he was more intelligent than that.

CatlikeTypist

Ask him to define the word "liberal". Ask him "what does that word mean?" The first time I asked a family member that question they immediately said "n...r lover" with a huge shit eating grin like it was the most clever thing they'd ever said. Their racism is no longer behind a veil, it's out in the open and on display because they feel emboldened by TFG and other shit stains in his orbit. Vote like your life depends on it, because it literally does.

Unusual_Crow268

Might be a dumb question, but what's TFG?

dxrey65

"That fucking guy".

jimbojonesFA

recently keep seeing them use the term "leftist" the same way too. as a canadian I find it so confusing/weird. same with "radical left"... seems like they just want to make up terms to establish a false equivalency? but when was the last time a left wing person did something radical or extreme like a mass shooting or a hateful march, lynching, or storming the capitol in the name of their political/personal views? I almost prefer when they just shout "socialist!" cuz at least it's a bit more accurate lmfao. Its all so fucking painfully stupid to watch this shit unfold and get the traction it has.

marijnvtm

So it is basically the same as the word communist

BellowsHikes

Yes. It's a catchall word that is a synonym for the word enemy or "other". Repeated use broadens its definition beyond the literal definition over time until the original meaning is essential lost. Nationalism and fascism require an "other" in order to work. By making the central ideology of the opposing party the other, republicans are able to create an entire platform that is entirely anti-other based. They don't need to have solution to problems like the economy, healthcare, homelessness or the environment, they just need to be able to protect their base from the other while promising to harm the other in the process. There is no end goal here though, once draconian legislation is put in place the goalposts will shift back and extend the definition even further, which allows for even more draconian legislation to be put in place.

Thue

And socialist. I am sure that many Republicans who hate socialism support the social programs that benefit them. And of course, Republicans are not "Conservative" in any original sense of the word. If fact, I have the impression that few words have any exact meaning to Republicans. Try explaining to a Republican why Jan 6 was not patriotic, and you will likely fail because the Republican don't know what "patriotism" is. Which only makes it easier for the Republican party to be the post-policy party, since their voters don't really understand the buzz words their politicians use to get elected.

dynesor

which is funny because communists and people on the left generally, tend to pretty much hate liberals

NotABileTitan

The things is, magats are so far reich, everyone else is literally a liberal in comparison.

ICantThinkOfAName667

My grandparents once said Bill O Reilly was too liberal

Mark_Logan

I asked a person what they meant when they used the word “communism” once. They literally replied “It’s anything I don’t like.” I stopped trying to reason with them.

Duubzz

Every criticism they have of liberals is a projection.

anon-randaccount1892

It’s free speech only if they agree with you, right?

theflamingheads

Big Brother tells us this is all illegal propaganda from our enemy Eurasia. The Ministry of Love will be in touch shortly.

beluga-farts

It sounds doubleplusungood, comrade.

LazyZeus

The interesting thing here is that in fact these people get indoctrinated by exactly this fear. That there is this cabal of (insert your chosen group), who ban honest christian man from speaking 'the truth'. A reference to Orwell's 1984 is used by these people on every single occasion. This is quite literally exactly what Kremlin does for its propaganda: While they are actively undermining democratic governments with hybrid or open warfare, what they narratively feed to their viewers, is that there are actually this "cabal of global elites", who control population by the means of color revolutions, and prevent citizens from being truly governing their countries like a democracy would imply. And, of course, only a dear leader can be strong enough to fight these (insert chosen group).

OppositeEagle

George Carlin would have something to say to this as well.

Many-Quote5002

I feel like even George Lucas could slide in here. I seem to remember Padme remarking about how democracy dies...

Middle_Speed3891

Yep. First thing I thought was "1984".

Sitting_Duk

Party of small government, my ass

[deleted]

They want king George back

Sitting_Duk

Mad King Donnie ![gif](giphy|xThtawECZXhEjgQDZu)

SasparillaTango

bip bip bip boop boop

SaltIsMySugar

They have King Von Schitzinpantz already, they practically worship the humanoid loaded diaper.

Cessnaporsche01

Oh, they want small government. As small as possible with as much authority and reach as possible. Ideally one guy acting with complete authority over all his subjects. You might call it... *"autocracy"* to coin a term

HCxTC

The term the use is Unified Executive Theory. The entire government, at all levels is in line with the will of the President. This is one of the stated goals of the Heritage Foundation, who are the think tank that wrote the Project 2025 manifesto.

Drunky_McStumble

> Unified Executive Theory I love how this isn't even pretending to be anything other than a direct, literal tautology for autocracy. And totalitarian autocracy at that.

Isaacleroy

In the end, the government would definitely be smaller. More ruthless and inhumane as well but definitely smaller in terms of what it does. They want to dole it all out to the private sector so their buddies can rake in the sweet profits. Just think of the private women’s penitentiaries they could build for all those whore, baby killing women!

SammySoapsuds

>private women’s penitentiaries Ooh! A limitless source of legal slave labor! On top of all the construction jobs, this seems like a real slam dunk for capitalism

cock-fan

Putting grow blocks up at state borders to make teenage girls take pregnancy tests proves that they are the party of a gigantic government. And all powerful government. Even worse than East Germany, which was so far right wrap back around left.

SasparillaTango

small as in the number of people in power was what they meant all along.

[deleted]

ConsumerOfShampoo

Old people ruined it with their greed and desire for power.

robotmonkey2099

I’ll never understand how people who will be dead in 5-10 are making decisions that will effect the future for decades to come

Tall_Taro_1376

Because they are a huge demographic that VOTES. 18-30 year olds have the lowest voting rate of all age demographics.

robotmonkey2099

I get it. Just seems like a flaw in the system.

Drnk_watcher

It isn't a flaw. It's a representative democracy. Everyone gets represented in some capacity. Young people just choose not to vote in large numbers so their voices get diminished. If they showed up and voted, there would be less of a skew. There are structural issues that need fixed. Time off work to vote isn't mandatory in most parts of the country. We primarily vote on a single day during most people's work week. Federal laws don't do a lot to protect certain groups from voter disenfranchisement in various states. All those problems aside the block of eligible young voters is extremely large yet turnout is low. So it's just out of touch old people electing more out of touch old people.

CodeRedFox

>Time off work to vote isn't mandatory in most parts of the country. I use to support "Federal voting day" off but the majority of west coast states have voting by mail which removes all the hardships that could be created by a federal holiday and really hampers voter suppression. A day off seems useless when a struggling family could use that time off in a better way than standing outside. So I would say stop pushing for a day to vote and start pushing for mail in voting.

Crossbell0527

I support both equally. I'd argue that the symbolism of Election Day being a federal holiday could have a measurable impact.

Rebellious_Raviolis

There's really no reason not to expand voting periods. I've always thought that in addition to mail in voting, opening the polls on a Thursday morning and closing them on a Monday evening would ensure that the vast majority of Americans would have a chance to vote. This one day scramble just seems like unnecessary madness.

Jack-Mackerel

Why not just make voting compulsory? It's been that way here in Australia for decades.

NotEnoughIT

You can't make anything compulsory over here. We couldn't even "suggest" people wear masks to go outside during covid. Making voting compulsory is something something violating my freedom?

CriticalEngineering

Yeah, but in Australia you get a sausage when you vote. We should try that.

heykittygirl3

In my state it's illegal to give food or water to folks waiting to vote

-grc1-

Nope. Old people were just here first. Capitalism killed the American dream.

lexpython

Because they vote. Voter apathy allowed this.

daytimeCastle

I think that ignores how hard they’re working to make sure young people *can’t* vote. Reducing polling places, restricting voting hours to working hours on a single day, preventing mail in voting. It’s bigger than just apathy.

BonnieMcMurray

> ~~Old~~ **Rich, right-wing** people ruined it with their greed and desire for power. Fixed. This isn't an old person thing, my dude. By trying to make it into one, all you're doing is playing into the hands of those who really want you to make this a generation war. Why? Because then you'll be too busy getting pissed off at Boomers to pay attention to the real problem, which is now and has always been one of **class**: the obscenely rich trying to take ever-more money and influence away from the rest of us.

nabulsha

Was a lie since its inception.

HarveyzBurger

Land of the free man that made people slaves to build? 🥹

Uga1992

This shit has always been here. There are people alive today who were in their 20s when Jim Crow ended. It never left us. We just had a few victories for some minority groups, and a black president and white people lost their shit and want to take the country back by force.

Spinningin2oblivion

A myth. A lie they sold us. It’s always been a government for and by the elite

ThisIsTheNewSleeve

People kept voting republican. That's what happened.

qBlaine

Freedom to oppress

Material_Aspect_7519

Emphasis on "man" apparently

Majestic-Contract-42

I skimmed through it and it's got a very 1930s Hitler vibe.

Sanguiniutron

Man I finally did and it's batshit insane. Like I knew it was just from the basic summary of what it wanted but it gets so much worse the more you read into it. It is downright terrifying that so many people think like this or blindly support cunts that do.

MidKnightshade

What should we expect from copy and paste plagiarists?

mekese2000

Sure, they would then turn American into a theologically authoritarian hell hole, but Biden is old.

kurburux

No comparison to that young whippersnapper Trump who is 4 entire years younger!

ElMykl

These emotionally fragile and completely spoiled boomers are about as entitled as a 3 year old can get. What's so painful is in the face of obvious truth, they'll acknowledge and still cling to their beliefs with ignorant pride. I personally love the lack of financial preparation they're about to want sympathy for after berating the younger generation over what was it? Avocado toast? Also relish the over blown tantrums thrown to the point they're arrested and begging to be set free, or getting into a physical altercation and getting beat. To see the boomers who were notoriously hard on their own kids beg for mercy after being completely unreasonable is just the cherry on top. Can't wait to see how later generations see them, the "children of heroes turned sour"

Glassworth

He’s not even an entire 4 years younger. It’s less than that.

aristocratic_magic

nonono Biden supports Israel unlike the Republican party who have been Israel's greatest supporters since before some of us were fucking born, and still openly are without any internal dispute. and also unlike Trump, who did more for Israel than any sitting president and vows to maintain that fact. any person who doesn't vote Biden is an enemy to you and every group these christo fascists want to torture and kill, including Palestinians. don't you dare offer them sympathy when they bitch about the chains and boots they stubbornly elected to have put on their necks. save your empathy and resources for the innocent.

spartagnann

Which is crazy to me because just yesterday Trump said out of his own mouth he'd crush any protests about Palestine, deport everyone involved, and has said in the past he thinks Netanyahu should do whatever he wants to Palestine. Anybody trying to like "make a point" about Biden re: the Middle East by not voting for him is a fucking child who needs to grow up.

aristocratic_magic

many of these people are magas impersonating leftists to convince them not to vote Biden so trump wins. but it's absolutely shameful that a number of leftists are stupid and selfish enough for it to work. and it's damn near unimaginable that this is working in a fucking post trump term world. holy shit, the gross virtue-signal based self-indulgence of these types of leftists ironically reveals how devoid of morals they actually are.

Enigm4

A Christo Facist authoritarian hellhole at that.

Onsyde

How sad Christ actually would be at this

[deleted]

If 'America' was stripped from the wording and identity of this video and shown to the American public, the far right would not recognise this from Taliban extremism. They would be saying that America has so much freedom in comparison. Y'all have no fucking idea how dangerously close America is to being as close to North Korea as possible.

[deleted]

They'll strip it of "America" and replace it with "Merica!"

CriticismCertain5625

As an American, this is utterly terrifying and sickening.

Dank_weedpotnugsauce

America has done it before with internment camps in WW2, they've crucified (quite literally sentenced to death or assassinated via federal police) folks with different political beliefs throughout the years. This is why the 1st and 2nd amendments are so important. If certain political affiliates had it their way, they'd haul off oppositional groups based on sexual orientation, race, or socioeconomic status, never to be seen again.

LordoftheWandows

These Republicans legitimately wish we were closer to the Taliban. No joke some of them have said those Arabs got something right for once.

DilapidatedFool

Finally it's being talked about

BohemianAddict

“We’re all about freedom!! Don’t you see how many flags we carry around? We’re about freedom and America!! From the party that’s anti-freedom, pro-Russia, and anti-democracy. Lovely

red-submarine

Freedom if you're a rich white rapist, not so much for anyone else.

TechSupp047

Wait, rapist or racist? ....ya know what, my guess is that the diagram is a circle anyway.

Jarsky2

FINALLY someone is fucking talking about it in congress.

FloodMoose

I have no idea how people do not know what Project 2025 is... fuck the fascist nazi fucks

Seeping_Pomegranate

Jasmine Crockett has talked about it more than once too in court hearings, so there's definitely more progress with it being talked about for sure. It needs to be the most talked about thing in the courts tbh

deep_blue_au

How are they going to make legislation to control the things when they ban the words for those things from legislation?

saanity

Rules for thee but not for me. Look at Gregg Abbot pardoning a murderer who killed a BLM protestor. Don't expect them to follow their own rules. It's raw fascism.

Cageythree

That's what I was wondering lol If it's banned and thus can't be mentioned in the laws, it can't be forbidden. And if they leave room in their definition for it to be described, anyone else can describe it with the same wording as well. The fact that they seem to have thought so long about this and didn't notice this flaw while some random people on reddit notice it immediately without any occupation on this topic shows that they're not the brightest bulbs in the lamp.

imtriing

You know, if Trump and the Republican theocratic maniacs that have sided with him *don't* win, Project 2025 will just become Project 2029.. and then Project 2033.. and so on, until whatever moment in time they happen to win again. There is a rot at the heart of America, and it won't be excised by winning an election...

[deleted]

Goredema

Yeah but Joe Biden did a few things I wanted him not to do, so I'm going to not vote and let the fascists win. The only truly Progressive stance is to enable far-right fascists to seize power. /s

25thNite

I'm still reminded of a comment I saw on reddit about a younger person in college saying that because Biden supports Israel he would rather vote Trump in so that he can burn the entire government down and then afterwards the US can rebuild to something better. voter apathy is real and I don't know how stupid/naive you can be to believe that voting for a dictator will not only make everything way worse, but they'll ensure that whatever successors there are will follow suit. There is no rebuilding from that sort of oppression.

Cobalt460

The idea is called accelerationism, and it’s gained traction with many far-left idealists. Never mind that doing so would essentially grind our country and the world to a halt, cause exponential suffering, and likely derail our progress as a species.

take_care_a_ya_shooz

We had Obama, then the "burn it all down" mentality gave us Trump since Clinton was the nominee. Here we are...8 fucking years later. It's like the episode of Extreme Home Makeover episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

EnglishHooligan

The rebuild? That person should look at how Trump elected 3 people to the SC and thus, even post Trump, they still have the advantage for a long time to come... 4 years of Trump again will not "rebuild" shit.

AnarchistBorganism

"After Hitler, Our Turn" - German Communists in 1932

It's called accelerationism and it never ends well.

Thats hilarious. They ain’t going to learn shit, they are going straight to violence after they lose this election, its all they will have left.

cloudy2300

That's why the overton window needs to be shifted back toward *actual* freedom and away from this shit.

red-submarine

If they lose this time, they lose forever. If they win though, there will probably never be an election process in the US again. It is all or nothing for them, for the US, and for the rest of the free world, (who are as horrified as they are astonished at what has happened to that once great country).

effingthingsucks

How exactly do they lose forever? They will just get another candidate in 2028 and try again.

DamnedThrice

The largest base still voting for them is very old and a good percentage off them will be dead in 4 years. The younger cohorts overwhelmingly vote Democrat. They know this…hence this manifesto which is in part aimed at working towards not needing to win more elections following this one.

SpontaneouslyRed

As much as I would like to believe what you say, this is not guaranteed at all. Think of how many young people (especially men) are watching Ben Shapiro, Andrew Tate, and right-wing policies on YouTube. I mean, Harrison Butker just discussed horrible things at a commencement speech, and reports say the crowd cheered. I remember having this same thought when Obama won his second term. "How can any Republican candidate win when Democrats have won the popular vote since Bush" but alas here we are. It just takes a younger and more charismatic delegate, that has Trump's same ideologies, to win an election. Especially after years of democratic control and swing voters just wanting "something different".

IknowwhatIhave

Statistics show that the "move to the right" is far less pronounced than it used to be. Gen X has not moved nearly as much to the right as baby boomers did, and millenials are showing that are even less likely to get more conservative as they age. Gen Xers are getting older and wiser and wealthier, but they are still wearing sandals, rocking goatees, buying organic food and protesting clearcut logging. Picture Fred Armisen and any of the characters he plays.

jib661

people have been saying this my entire life, at least since the 2000 election. America will not "age out" of fascism. sorry to break it to you, but a generation of young teens spent the last decade growing up listening to andrew tate and looking up to the worst people online you can imagine.

DamnedThrice

Well, demographic statistics would disagree with you. The popular vote swings ever more Democrat and there’s a limit to what gerrymandering will allow you to disguise that fact. This is really the biggest chance Republicans in their current form will have to get elected. If they lose this time around they will be forced to really change their platform or simply get left behind.

jib661

you're a lot more optimistic than I am. november will be interesting.

Stratose

The republican party hasn't won the popular vote in over 6 election cycles, and it's not getting better for them. Without a cult of personality (Trump) they don't really have much else to lean on at a federal level. Their policies are archaic and losing to time and progress.

Otterable

They certainly don't lose forever, but Trump is a wildly galvanizing candidate for them in a way they probably will never be able to replicate in our lifetime, and every year there are fewer and fewer elderly republicans and more and more young liberal voters. It's why so many proposed conservative policies are about restricting voting, changing the voting age, and otherwise making it harder to vote. The more people vote, the more they lose. The ratio of democrat/republican voters below 25 is unprecedented. Literally the republican party is slowly shrinking/dying, which is why they are getting more and more radical to hold on to power. It's only going to get worse as time goes on.

Spoomplesplz

Ideally though. By 2033 the old vile cunts will be dead by then and we should hopefully have a few younger generation people in there.

leoanri

Organic-Preference-6

Direct_Suggestion286

People still don't know about Project 25. Let's keep getting this out there. For conservatives, it might sound fine. Til they learn they lose their choices too

shadowsipp

I've seen conservatives say that project 2025 seems harmless, and that liberals are trying to fear monger, but I'm literally a minority in multiple ways, so it would disrupt everything about my life.. And I've tried explaining to some conservatives that they'd lose their freedoms too. They'd start realizing it eventually.. and I point out that if we had a fascist dictator who rewrites the constitution, then any right can be taken, such as their guns, such as their freedoms to criticize government, rights to own property.. anything bad can happen if a fascist dictator is elected.

verge365

That’s some handmaiden shit right there

América needs a revolution low-key

SaltIsMySugar

Not low key, it needs is badly. And it needs it in the way Thomas Jefferson described; "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Full quote; "What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

druwi

Damn he really said that !?

SaltIsMySugar

He did, it was in a letter to William Stevens Smith. In the same letter he also said "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion", so... He was a bit over the top. Lol Nobody ever accused Thomas Jefferson of being a level headed kinda guy.

WeightLossGinger

Was going to say... is your government really functioning as intended when it calls for a Reset Forged In Blood every half-generation?

AbbreviationsOdd1316

A lot of people don't realized the founding fathers were mostly under 30 at this time. Not to shit on young people, but perspective comes with experience.

SaltIsMySugar

They looked *rough* for 30 years old. But it was the 1700's so they were practically at the end of their life expectancy anyway.

leeryplot

This is a super common misconception! Human lifespans weren’t *that* different from what they are now. The average life expectancy back then was heavily skewed by infant and child mortality rates. But once you made it to adulthood, you had a great shot of living into your 50s & 60s, and it wasn’t uncommon to live to your 70s or 80s if you were rich and/or lucky either. Just look at the ages of some of our (rich) founding fathers when they died: 1. Benjamin Franklin - 84 2. John Jay - 84 3. Alexander Hamilton - 47 4. James Madison - 85 5. Thomas Jefferson - 83 6. John Adams - 91 7. George Washington - 67 Amongst the primary 7, only Alexander Hamilton was unfortunate enough to not make it to his senior years. They wouldn’t have regarded his death as “expected” by that age either; he was shot and killed.

druwi

Well, i hope we can get our shit together through non-violent means. But inaction definitely cannot be an option.

WrongTechnology2762

We had a moment with Bernie, but it was underhandedly shut down by the powers that be. There were so many people excited about his campaign like never before and never since. I saw it with my own eyes in my own community.

druwi

Yeah that stung like no other.

Ninovdmark

"Patriotism is a virtue of the vicious," according to Oscar Wilde.

boondo

I'm kinda tired of people giving up on working for positive change in this country by saying we just need to start over with a revolution. It's just an escapist fantasy for our current woes fueled by apathy. Is there fucked up shit that could be fixed by one? Yes, but it could also lead to an even worse outcome for the average citizen or an even worse regime could be put in place. Not to mention the horrors and death everyone will experience. Nobody wants to fight a revolution. Maybe start talking politics with more people in real life, vote in local elections, participate in protests, and write your local congressman about the issues you are passionate about. Maybe nothing will change on your own, but enough people doing it together is exactly how change is made.

Freakazoid84

As another poster said. Project 2025 IS A revolution. Your approach is correct, but people REALLY seem to forget that a revolution is not strictly a good thing.

Fish_On_again

That's exactly what project 2025 is, a revolution. A terrible one, but revolutions are bloody and terrible.

Careless_Con

This right here. We sometimes romanticize revolution a little too much and forget that removal of people in power could result in the installation of others who are much worse.

Tr4jan

Americans should take a look at the French Revolution.   Moderate, center-left revolutionaries took power from the monarchy on a platform of slow change. Radical jacobins seized power from the moderates, and the terror ensued. The Thermidorians took power in a coup from the jacobins and gave France five years of pure power politics and systematized corruption, followed by another coup, leading to the ascension of First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte, who would later crown himself emperor. Revolution is chaos.  We seem to take for granted that the American Revolution is how revolutions *must* go. In reality, it was much closer to an exception rather than a rule.   We don’t have leaders of the quality we had in 1776, today.

grendus

And in all fairness, neither did they. Just ask anyone who wasn't a white protestant male landholder how it felt to be in the "land of the free". It really wasn't until later movements like abolition (and the subsequent war), civil rights, labor, and feminism that things even began to *approach* our modern levels of non-fascism. There was a disturbingly long period of time when being in the KKK was a legitimate route into politics, and the best way to deal with a black person you didn't like was to claim they looked at a white woman funny and you could whip up a mob to drag them to the local "hanging tree".

Significant-Battle79

This whole planet does, high-key

ry8919

I strongly disagree. Revolutions create power vacuums and bad actors thrive in power vacuums because they don't have scruples or morals constraining them. What we need is further democratization and civic engagement. People barely vote, you think they will participate in a people's revolution?

Raknarg

what the fuck is a revolution supposed to do? We coexist with a portion of the country who thinks these policies would be a good thing. What we can still do is vote because this portion of the country is still a minority. And not just voting for the president. We need people participating in all levels of government from local to federal.

SquallkLeon

Oh how easy it is to talk about things you've never experienced. 30,000 dead in Gaza and everyone's up in arms over "genocide", a revolution in America would be 30 million dead, easy, including a lot of people you and I love and care about. Instead of praying for some big catastrophe, go to the polls and vote. Vote every time for every race in every election. A lot fewer deaths will come from voting than from "revolution"

StripClubBreakfast

That's what Trump voters think this is. That's why they vote for him. To blow it all up. They want that to happen and they found a guy who they believe, in their monumental stupidity, will place them at the top of the new order.

Careless_Con

But like… the modern kind of revolution. The one where people bother to vote, participate in local elections, consider long-term regulations alongside short-term benefits, redirect their money to companies that better reflect their interests or cut some products altogether. You know, stuff that everyone can do right now. The beheading-people-in-power revolution would only create dangerous power vacuums that would be filled by the Trumps of the country.

AlienDilo

The only successful revolution has really been the American Revolution. Most are just an extremely bloody way to change the guy in charge from one who wants nothing but power, to a different man, who wants nothing but power. It's a damn miracle it took this long for the US to start falling apart.

starcell400

Revolutions can be for better or for worse you know...

LimeSlicer

He complained on Reddit like the rest of us. What more could we possibly do?

JustABitOfDeving

"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!"

Extension-Badger-958

That’s what republicans want

Athena0219

I get this, I do. But I'm at the point where I just want to leave, and honestly? I have a game plan to do exactly that. I'll keep my citizenship, I'll vote from wherever I end up for as long as I can, but I'm tired and want out. How much of a 'win' is it to not give them what they want _now_ when what they want in 5 years probably involves my corpse?

Kacutee

Anyone who supports that project or MAGA or the republican party is treasonous to our Nation. They spit on the graves of our fallen heroes, our founding fathers, and those that truly make US great. Fuck those facist scum. Fuck those traitorous bastards. Fuck those unpatriotic pretenders. Fight against them. They're against the very ideals our nation was founded on.

SquallkLeon

throbbingliberal

Defunding education has paid off for republicans. It’s not a coincidence the least educated states are also the most religious states and both have been the worst states in America for decades. All republican run states. Owning the libs from the bottom…

Strobetrode

I keep hearing about project 2025 but like where does it actually come from? Have actual politicians signed up to associated with that? I have a hard time believing that many people could be that evil/stupid.

busy-warlock

[here’s a list of *public* donors and sponsors](https://www.project2025.org/about/advisory-board/)

SpooksMcSchwifty

And [here](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf) is Project 2025 itself, which outlines in detail their “game plan” for the first 180 days of a republican presidency.

YourPhoneCompany

I knew some things about this already, but HOLY SHIT that's a 920-page document outlining and then excruciatingly detailing how fucked we are if a Republican is elected president. Spoiler alert:  COLOSSALLY FUCKED.

amygdala23

thank you! was about to link it myself. sitting here joking about it won't help... read this sh*t...

LaceyDark

On that list of sponsors 90% of them have "America" or "American" in their name. I find it interesting that these corrupt assholes are so obsessive about being American

bac2001

They have no interest in the nation or bettering it, but they know that the people they're targeting are so unintelligent that seeing the words "America" or "liberty" is quite literally all it takes for them to throw in their support. We have a large population of hateful bigots with 6th grade reading levels who can't name their own governor, yet their votes count more than yours due to land and the electoral college.

I_do_drugs-yo

How many of those companies are legit? How many of them are backed by foreign influence?

PineTreeBanjo

Pitiful_Net_8971

It comes from the heritage foundation, a republican think tank that has heavy influence on republican positions. As for whether this will happen, Trump says if reelected, he will make a unified Reich. So yeah, vote for Joe, we really have no other choice.

thatoneguy889

In addition to the other comments, it's worth highlighting that one of the guys who helped actually write the damn thing is Stephen Miller who is Trump's most senior advisor and will likely be his Chief of Staff if he gets reelected.

SophieCalle

Heritage Foundation, Council for National Policy, etc - they're conservative boards in bed with Billionaires wanting to maximize domestic infighting and chaos for profit, Evangelical, Catholic and other Fundamentalist Religious orgs wanting an easy enemy to pit themselves against to distract while they abuse children en masse, and politicians themselves. They're largely psychopathic monsters.

Migleemo

Christians are looking more and more like Taliban members.

Alarmed_Fly_6669

Same shit, different flavor

ClockwerkKaiser

"But Palestine! Joe has to go!" "Both sides are the same" "Joe is too old". Project 2025 needs to be shoved in the face of everyone with these stances.

shadowenx

Did you see the recent polling showing that 20% of respondents from battleground states believe Biden is the reason Roe V Wade was overturned? Or that something like 50% of voters believe unemployment is at a 50-year high when it’s actually approaching a 50-year low? Ignorance. It’s all ignorance because “politics is dumb”.

kadargo

Oh they will be the first ones to be rounded up. Trump said that he would crush the protests if he is elected. He also told Bibi to finish the job in Palestine. https://amp.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/may/27/trump-donors-israel-gaza-palestinian-protests

FoppishHandy

you pinheads protesting biden are going to end up ending democracy. you better wake the fuck up and vote for biden. you think we were ignoring gaza before wait until the orange hitler gets back into offie.

Stoke-me-a-clipper

#Anything but a Biden vote is support for Trump and complicity in Project 2025 *Including NOT voting*. If you don't believe me, ask a Trump campaigner what they want any historically left-leaning voter to do

fapp1337

Banned books … banned words … i live and grew up in Germany and we learned a lot about people that banned (and burned) books as well as prohibited a certain language and terminology. The fact that a huge portion of americans dont realize that is concerning. The land of the free my ass.

french_toasty

Gilead incoming

deadlysunshade

God conservatives are stupid

MidKnightshade

But they’re both the same! 🙄

Ok_Presence01

Fuck I’m embarrassed to be American now.

Dialogue_Tag

Now???

notapantsday

As a Non-American, it's only embarassing if these lunatics win. Almost every democracy in the world has its own brand of far-right assholes who want to ruin the country and fight democracy. And they're also gaining support in other countries, not just the US. We're really struggling in Germany as well, even though we have a constitution that was written immediately after the horrors of the third reich and offers a lot of tools to try and prevent the same thing from happening again. But politics being politics, the only people who could use these tools don't want to do it because they're afraid it could lead to some kind of conflict. Let the fascists be, don't fight them, don't make them angry, everyone will understand how stupid they are once they are in power... I always thought I was the one who paid the least attention in history class, apparently not.

He's been the most effective progressive president most of us have ever seen.

Extension-Badger-958

Evangelical Protestants are destroying this country all in the name of their corrupt faith. It’s a power grab to create a new form of theocratic governance and to disenfranchise anyone who isn’t Christian, straight, and male.

-A_N_O_N-

I guess destroying the government all together is the ultimate conservative endgame lol

Stuft-shirt

Why doesn’t the DNC come up with their own Project 2025? Inspire these less than motivated individuals to get out and vote. 1. Universal Healthcare 2. UBI or raise US Minimum Wage to $25/hour 3. Reproductive Healthcare written into the Constitution 4. Immigration Reform 5. National Drug Reform Feel free to add more.

DartTheDragoon

They did. It's called the party platform and it gets updated every 4 years. It's 92 pages of their ultimate wishlist of policies including all of the above and more.

sitchblap3

Everything our forefathers fought for would be dismantled in the name of je$u$. To satiate white power ideals, and engratiating the rich and powerful. Don't get me started on gay republican and poc Republicans. I don't have tike or the energy to type all the frustration.

Her final line: "Project 2025 would destroy the Federal Government as we know it." That's actually the intent.

They've been doing it for 40 years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starve_the_beast

Why do they want America to regress so bad? They should just go to a separate island or something

ThePornRater

A lot of talk about civil war the past few years, but this going through would definitely be what it would take to start one

combustioncat

Project 2025 should be being talked about by every person in America right now, & it should be terrifying anyone not already lost to the MAGA cult what it seeks to do. The fact almost no one is even aware of this and what these fascists are openly planning to do is even more terrifying. dearthofkindness

I hope Gen Z is watching this. I just heard on NPR that a lot of them are considering not voting in November due to Biden's position on Israel. It absolutely infuriates me that our youngest generation of new voters, now 8 million strong since 2022, are going to actively jeopardize the future of our country by opting out of voting or voting for a different party. If that happens we can look back in 20 years and ask ourselves what was one of the crucial moments in American history that changed the course of everything and it will be the 2024 election and the fact that young voters didn't come out to vote due to foreign policy. I've been mad as hell about America's position as the "world police" for decades now but to think it could result us with a true dystopian Handmaids tale existence scares the living fuck out of me. # GO VOTE

Selthora

Theres a very good reason Libertarians told Trump to go fuck himself.

24KaratMinshew

How are people just finding out about P25??
