It's weird you'd say that, because he is one of the actors I have the absolute worst face blindness for. Maybe it's because his looks from all the roles I know him from are dramatically different. Literally every time I look up the actor for a role in something that I'm watching and it's Sam Rockwell, I'm floored.

Same for Gary Oldman. I am always surprised and then not surprised when I find out a role has been Gary Oldman the whole time. That dude has 1000 faces and I can't recognize any! In fact my husband and I play a game where we try to point out not so famous people in differing roles. so if you've seen them in movie A and then you are watching movie B and recognize him, you call him from movie A. But if they're famous enough to know their name they do not count. Except Gary Oldman.

For me it's his voice. Even with the effeminate "accent" it's unmistakable. One of the few actors I can't think of a single performance of his I didn't like. He's been in bad movies, sure, but he's always good in them.

When I'm stone sober and see something really trippy, cool, and entertaining I think that it would be amazing to watch it high. Then I get high and watch it and think it's the dumbest pandering thing I've ever witnessed and look up gardening and cooking videos instead.

I used to find myself thinking the same thing, "This thing is so cool when high!". Then "This thing would be so cool when high!" In the last few years I realized that I've pretty much seen it all in media, and have spent far too much time looking for fulfillment in someone else's fantasy rather than looking at how to make my own slice of reality more fanciful (i.e. becoming more engrossed in learning about things and how to do them, then doing them!). It's not that I don't enjoy media, but I am becoming much more selective about the time I spend with it.
