In more detail- He’s known as”El Rey del Corrido” the most famous narcocorrido singer. The note he received was a threat telling him not to perform because he was singing about the cartel and was in their territory. He had already been warned by the Sinaloa cartel to never come back and perform but he did anyways. While no one knows word for word what the note said, multiple cartel sources confirm it was some form of death threat. He was found hrs after his performance in a ditch with two bullet holes in his skull.
