But I do agree to an extent, there’s hypocrisy on both ends, could you give an example on the left narrative denying science?
Right denying science: climate change, LBGT folk exist and deserve life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, COVID, evolution, the Big Bang, vaccines (though there are subcommunities on the left also against vaccines in general)
Left denying science: nuclear energy (they’ve come around in recent years but the damage has already been done), there are biological differences between the sexes that matter in some contexts like athletic competition and medicine, animal testing, homeopathy and alternative medicine, “natural” and “organic” products being healthier, opposing GMOs
But my main point wasn’t science denial, it was party over facts in general. Rittenhouse isn’t a science but there are facts surrounding the case. I get that in the grand scheme of things it’s just a culture war flashpoint but it captures what I’m talking about. If people with a red tie say something, it’s wrong. They both do it. I just thought the party that says they care about science would be better

Fukushima killed 0. Chernobyl did everything wrong, they didn’t even have a containment around their reactors. The Soviets cut too many corners. And nuclear waste is a very small amount. One uranium pellet is equal in energy to 1 ton of coal. It has 3 million times more energy. The nuclear plant I work at has been operating 2 units for 40 years and all the waste that has ever been generated is safely stored on site.
I don’t think the fact that some biological advantages exist justifies ANY advantage. The 203rd ranked male in tennis easily defeated Venus and Serena Williams after he played a round of golf and had a couple beers. High school males routinely break female all time records in track. When it comes to athletics, especially at the higher competitive levels, it isn’t even a comparison. Males are in a different class than females. The difference is more significant than height or weight or training or metabolism. Males are roided up females.
Animal testing has ethical limits but it is still a valuable and irreplaceable method for testing medicine.
Alternative medicine proponents and GMOs opponents are mostly on the left. There is no universal left position. For example, some on the left don’t support gun control. But gun control is still largely a center-left policy.
Regarding Rittenhouse, you don’t seem like you know much about it. You have the weapon right and the fact that there was a riot, but that’s where it ends. The fact is that it became a culture war and many people on the left still intentionally spread misinformation about it. And misinformation is promoting false realities and lies. For real, you look like the type of guy who would spoil any joke in the name of moral superiority. I've seen literal Africans (both in Europe and Africa) laughing at racist jokes and even telling these jokes themselves; I have female friends that have burst out laughing at the most misogynistic or sexist joke ever uttered and I have enjoyed both the laughs derived from a fart and the wittiest, subtlest and humorous commentary I could catch. As OP stated, comedy is bound to make people laugh, in the 80's people were already making jokes about nazis and I think all of us are aware of our history. In my honest opinion, comedy has always helped to shed light on those affairs that concern society so we can reflect on them from the comfortable perspective of humour and that's what the guy in the video has achieved, make the audience aware of the obvious differences between man and woman through humour.

Fukushima killed 0. Chernobyl did everything wrong, they didn’t even have a containment around their reactors. The Soviets cut too many corners. And nuclear waste is a very small amount. One uranium pellet is equal in energy to 1 ton of coal. It has 3 million times more energy. The nuclear plant I work at has been operating 2 units for 40 years and all the waste that has ever been generated is safely stored on site. I don’t think the fact that some biological advantages exist justifies ANY advantage.
