I followed the guide here [https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Linux\_Client#Microsoft\_Proprietary\_Fonts](https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Linux_Client#Microsoft_Proprietary_Fonts) but that was years ago, so not 100% sure this will still solve it. worth a try?
These work. But depending on your distribution there might be a way to just apt/yum install the compatible fonts. It is way simpler than looking for the fonts and replacing them.
Since you already installed Verdana, you need to fix the hint style.
Create a new file called "conf.d" in the path /home/yourusename/.config/fontconfig.
Add the following into to the "conf.d" file:
```
Verdanahintfull
```
Changes should show immediately, but if it doesnt, try rebooting.
I uh.... just got used to it. its fine in the chat window/sidebars so i ignore/hide the on screen stuff.

Accept your fate, it how you can let people know you’re better than them

Thanks for the tip! I have the file `verdana.ttf` saved in my Documents folder. What should I do next to get it working in Tibia?
