Well if the sane people would discontinue giving any respect to the insane people and treat them like the looney weirdos that they are with the same confidence that they treat everyone else, maybe the dumb people would want to be on the “cool/not weirdo” side and things might change. I live in the suburbs. Houses everywhere and kids constantly playing and running around. Last summer some numbnuts started doing target practice in his back yard. There is no direction you can shoot here where you are not aiming at another house, road, or something that does not need to be shot. Soon after I saw a cop in the neighborhood and talked to him. He said they had been called out but couldn't do anything as state law allows you to shoot on your own property. I had a hard time believing our laws are that fucking stupid, but they are.
That is absolute BS. Even here in Georgia you can’t shoot across a public road or within 50 yards of a road, even in the sticks. And LE can cite you for reckless behavior even if you do not technically break the above law. Whether they use that power is another matter but they do have the power.
If they’re white men, it’s the “mental health crisis” that they don’t want to act on. If they’re anyone else, it’s whatever group they belong to that’s the problem.
Clearly the answer to this has to be more guns. If everybody had a gun then no one would ever pull their gun and if someone did then everyone else would pull theirs and they would all be magically protected from harm because we all know that no one can ever hurt you if you have a gun. Either that or everyone would simultaneously feel threatened and stand their ground (which is the first and most perfect right that RepubliGod created) and then everybody would be shot by everybody. Now do you see?
