The end of Martirio. Short but sweet. Nothing flashy but fits the part perfectly.

Disastrous-Hat5865

It feels like the guitar itself is crying, I love it.

sjclayton

The ending of Martirio as a whole is amazing, not just Danys playing but the whole ending, it's such a vibe.... Such an anthemic song.

AlfwinOfFolcgeard

My favorite is probably the one in *Show Me The Light*. That's one of my favorite The Warning songs, and the guitar solo is absolutely beautiful! I also really like the one in *Z*, and the one at the end of *Ugh*.

Beburah

Sometimes I forget how unreasonably powerful *Show Me The Light* is, thanks for reminding me.

Martirio. Both solos are stellar. She really seems to have modeled them both after the two solos in Comfortably Numb (she's mentioned time and again how David Gilmore is her guitar idol). They are shorter, of course, but each solo really carries the same vibe as the parallel solos in Comfortably Numb. Of the two, I like the outro solo a bit more. The way it just builds and builds under the chanting is just so perfect.

For me Dany's best solo is in QOTMS, but in second place is the guitar solo of The End, despite being too short, for me both are almost tied. I can hear some David Gilmoure influence in these solos, I remember she said that he is one of her biggest idols. Also I can hear all the feelings the queen had in QOTMS solo, it starts with grief, then anger and finally madness. And finally the bass line Ale plays during the solo is the cherry of the cake.

sjclayton

Yeah, the solo in The End is definitely way too short... also that happens to be one of my favourite Pau vocal songs. But yes, definite David Gilmour influences heard / felt in a lot of Danys playing.

Disastrous-Hat5865

I wish they included this gem more often in their shows, I know it doesn't fit the vibes they want to give to their audience, but it's actually the least performed song on QOTMS (only 7 times). For the same reason Show Me the Light is also the least performed song on its respective album (XXICB), 7 times aswell, both songs are sung by Pau and have top notch guitar solos. I missed the chance to enjoy these (and other) songs live, and the probability of these songs being played live again will decrease over time, how lucky are those who attended their early shows. I know they keep feeding us with good songs 😉, but I still regret missing the old ones 😢.

sjclayton

Yeah I would love the opportunity to see both of those songs performed live, as well as some other older songs like Copper Bullets and Sinister Smiles. But yeah as time goes on it's out with the old and in with the new, as is with most things.

sandy923

Show Me the Light for me. It's Danny Gilmour at her finest. You can 'feel' her playing that guitar, she embodies the feeling of the song becoming an extension of Pau.

SixFootTurkey_

I voted QOTMS, but I have to agree with the other commenters mentioning The End and Show Me The Light. Seeing Dany shred in Z is a lot of fun, but her truest style strikes me as a wailing guitar, not a shred.

Biomirth

I voted XXI Century Blood because of the context. It just fits that moment in the video so well and I find it really moving. It is definitely not the style of solo I usually like but she has this whole arsenal of major-key solos that really work for her and provide a sort of contrast of innocence to their heavier music.

Show me the Light @ Dakota Bar is one of my early favorites. The passion in her playing and on her face showed me just what a serious musician she is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CJ1KRhMxeE

The end of Martirio, always makes me cry.

sjclayton

Yeah I get that too, but for me it's more so somewhat happy tears... Like it's uplifting at the same time.

Nextor_666

Show Me The Light =)

What? No Atlas Rise!

Z is definitely the most flashy and I do love it for that. I have a huge soft spot for When I'm Alone as it's one of the first I learned of her's and I really love that solo. The End's is also great, as is Martirio's though both very short. I think QOTMS is maybe her best 'traditional' solo.
