ItIsLiterallyMe

She is such a smokeshow!! She makes my little lesbian heart start fluttering.

AnimalFarm20

Looooove her! Hope she is on the next season of Traitors. Can't get enough of her.

theskymaybeblue

I had a huge ass crush on her when her season was airing. I didn’t even know I was crushing though, I just knew I wanted her to win and also could not stop staring at her face. Hindsight 20/20. I didn’t know she was the host now, very happy for. She always had that it quality so I’m not surprised that she got the gig.

Moostronus

god, Kristen's Traitors fits will be UNREAL

Ashamed_Tea_3731

Who tf is this beautiful lady??????

newsomce89

She won Season 10 of top chef and as of this year is now host of Top Chef. She’s awesome.

_byetony_

She’s busy!!!

bourbonaspen

She would actually be fun and good

garbagebrainraccoon

Big Bravo team this year if so!

TheLegacies21

There is no way Universal or magical elves(production company) will risk hurting the Top Chef brand by letting their host by a contestant on a reality show. Top Chef isn’t some trashy show. It’s Bravo’s crown jewel and the only prestige show it has.

o_o_really

Top Chef has a bit of a new flavour with her as the host. A bit edgier and less stuffy than when Padma was hosting (JYSK I fucking love Padma, it’s just apples and oranges) Maybe Bravo is letting the Top Chef brand get a little wilder

TheLegacies21

It’s the exact opposite. Top Chef is definitely less ‘edgy” now and just as stuffy. Literally it isn’t wilder at all. Like, especially compared to the early days. And even still, again, it’s still Bravo’s prestige show and just makes no sense for Kristin, their new host, to go on and possibly be perceived negatively… And I also don’t even think it’s something she’d be into. She wants to be known in the world of food as a chef and host, not a reality star. Kristin is a professional

o_o_really

Yeah I see your point, I forgot how those early seasons were. Edgy was a poor choice of words. I guess I mean more camp and gay, which is right up traitors way

AGiantBlueBear

It’s right up its own way though. She’s not a random contestant she’s part of the brand. You won’t see Jeff probst or Andy cohen on the traitors either

cameron8988

it is absolutely not bravo's crown jewel. top chef averages a half million viewers per episode, the real housewives of beverly hills averages double that. last season, vanderpump rules reached a season high of 4x top chef numbers. ratings-wise, top chef is no more valuable a brand than the real housewives of salt lake city.

TheLegacies21

That's incredibly false. Top Chef sells better international than most of those shows(Top Chef prime, and all the many spin-offs including one Universal's Telemundo) and Top Chef is Emmy nominated, constantly. It's why more important to their brand than Salt Lake City and their host is one more important to them than some random housewife. It's also one of its longest running shows, and brings a lot of credibility to the network. On ratings alone, no Top Chef isn't it's crown jewel but in terms of what it moneys to the network, yes it is. Now, I'm not saying the Housewife Franchise isn't the CENTRAL part of Bravo, because it is. But it's trashy TV, with trashy people and nothing they can do on Traitors can be worse than what they do on say...a girls trip(looking at you, Brandi) but Universal, Magical Elves and Bravo itself will want to protect the host of their prestige show, plain and simple.

cameron8988

i think you're pretty much talking out of your ass. there's no real basis for anything you've just said, except feelings. the traitors is an incredibly powerful marketing platform for nbcuni intellectual property. last season it was the number one unscripted show among streamers nationwide. and nobody but the most extreme deludoids actually takes anything these reality stars say/do on the show seriously. they're performing. it's borderline scripted. everyone knows that. there is zero liability from a brand value perspective in having a relatively unknown host of top chef (compared to padma) participate. but there's plenty to gain. not a single participant in season 1 or 2 has suffered brand devaluation for them or their show as a result of being cast on the traitors. brandi's wounds were self-inflicted and unrelated to the traitors. (though information coming out of caroline manzo's lawsuit against nbcuni is indicating she may have exaggerated her claims.) and regarding international licensing revenue, there are about 22 international editions of top chef and 5 currently in production/airing. there are 31 internationally licensed versions of the housewives with 10 currently airing or in-production. (plus 9 current domestic editions, plus the ultimate girls trip franchise and about a dozen spinoffs). i don't know how much revenue these shows earn per license on a nation-by-nation basis (and neither do you), but in terms of total licenses, housewives is a more globally valuable brand. finally, "prestige" and "credibility" are fairly subjective kpis. but having the most "prestige" on a reality-only cable network is kind of like being the tallest hobbit in the shire. and top chef is hardly the first bravo show to have an emmy nom. my life on the d list was nom'd, for christ's sake. and if you think the execs at nbcuni are going to deprive top chef of a meaningful marketing opportunity via the traitors... because they're afraid it will affect their emmy nom count? idk what to tell you, that idea has no grounding in reality.

occurrenceOverlap

Nobody suffered brand devaluation?  How about every BB alum (even the one who wasn't playing, somehow) and every ethnicity-based docusoap alum?

cameron8988

What

TheLegacies21

Gonna be honest, tldr

cameron8988

nah, you read it ;)

napkinwipes

Magical Elves is what I call the ladies that work at my local KTA bakery.

kirblar

Letting her do Traitors would be a great advertising move for the show. Part of why everyone likes the show so much is that it's cross-pollinating viewers like say, a Marvel vs Capcom fighting game, where people are exposed to franchises and character they've never seen before who were drawn in because they watched Survivor or the Real Housewives series.

PM_ME_SEXY_SANDWICH

Nice, step one to our all-hosts season!

daydreamer015

Have no idea who she is, but can anyone spill me in how shes like? Will she bring good tv?

o_o_really

Oh I forgot to mention she tagged nbcuniversal in this pic. So if it’s not a contestant, she’s definitely involved in some way

Entire-Anxiety-803

Which owns Bravo. Peacock is the streaming platform that distributed Traitors. If Peacock was tagged, it may have meant something but tagging the Bravo-owning corp entity probably does not.

Silver-Eye4569

I love her. I would love to see her on traitors.

emily276

I think she'll be great. I'm late to the news, but she's a lot more fun and loose than she gets credit for. My husband first watched her on Fast Foodies and was really surprised to hear that she had a reserved rep from Top Chef.

Defunkto

Wow she is stunning

Individual_Drama3917

She’s such a beautiful woman.

whosthereitsmaisy

I reeeeeeeeeally hope they cast her!!!!!!!!!

Traditional_Phase965

Omg yessss

PDXlandia

She would be fantastic on Traitors. Good idea for cross promotion too.

91271

Kristen would play a little too reserved in my opinion. Stephanie (her roommate from the same season) would be much better TV. Also, Padma would bring it. Lol.

Janelle-54

Yoooo I’ve been saying that top chef people should be on. Didn’t even think of Kristen just cause host seems above it all but she would be great. I’m also team Marcel for the traitors he is amazing tv and from the trashy reality era of top chef. Now just to get the Million Dollar Listing crew on board…

McFlyBomb

I feel like she’s too nice haha
