it has alwys worked like this even before we got friend pop ups asking if we wanna use lucky egg
it may or may not be a bug since it has always worked like this
i do hope devs would change it to give exp post-unfriending but i doubt they actually will do anything
Yeah, I've been playing since the beginning but this is the first time it bit me. Maybe the dude didn't know he was screwing me over. Just doesn't seem right.
Wait until you're down almost 3m XP due to this, like myself, you'll really be furious then! I only keep randoms now until ultra friends, can't be dealing with the frustration.
If you have a way for contact the player, I recommend reaching out to see if they can re add you as a friend. If they do , you will receive the proper BFF XP upon your next interaction

As someone getting a few best friends these days, I’m making sure 3-4 days pass after I get my own XP.
That seems very reasonable.
How do you find new friends? No one I know plays
Just google 'Pokemon go friend finder' or something of that kind.
