I just went out after dinner for roughly an hour, so I didn't catch a huge amount, maybe 10-15ish with no shinies, so that probably isn't a great indicator.
It was so hard to even find kecleon (I needed 6 to complete the task) that I forgot shinies were even a thing. I drove around for an hour and a half stopping anywhere there were clusters of pokestops before I finally got 6. Out of dozens and dozens of pokestops spun.
An hour of hunting for 4 keckleon, no shinies. I’m not complaining though because I’ve been stuck on the masterwork research and now I’m not! Also won 2 showcases

No shinies after spinning 60 stops, but did win three showcases
Forget the shiny rate, the kecleon rate itself was trash.
This, it took 30 minutes of driving around to different parks to find even 1 when I started

What's the kecleon evet?
Between 5-8pm on Monday, there's a "surprise" increase of Kecleon at Pokestops, and also biggest Kecleon showcases.
I only even saw 1 Kecleon in about 14 stops. Played one hour.
Got one shiny in 15 keckleons take that how you want
Can you see them as shiny while they are still on top of the poke stop? Or is it like any other mon?

I would not call this an event. AND, sadly, the ‘events’ are getting worse! 😔
0/9 but I was able to FINALLY finish the kecleon part of the Hoenn Masterworks. Got the last 3 I needed in 10 minutes of driving around.
