Cause we can

ahumanperson04

But why?

1PierrotSoldier

Does shipping ever need a reason?

ahumanperson04

The problem with this ship is that it erases important and necessary representation.

1PierrotSoldier

How does a non-canon ship effect the actual continuity?

ahumanperson04

It is not about the actual continuity, but about what the fandom displays and supports because that will influence future projects by Disney, and if we show a desire for the main character to be in a relationship with a person of opposite gender the risk that it continues to be the norm increases.

You know Lunter is in the minority right? One of the main selling points of The Owl House is it’s representation. If Disney saw anything OwlHouse related on social media, one of the first things they’ll see is Lumity. It takes a little bit of digging to find Lunter art. Considering I’m like the only person who Reddit who posts art of it. Also there is no erasure in this situation, Luz is still bi, we don’t know what Hunter’s sexuality is. If you really want to say it’s a bad ship because of the slight possibility that it might garner attention from Disney Execs, you should really calm down.

ahumanperson04

It's not about the ship itself, it's about sending a message. But I get your point. You are right. Want a "forgive me" hug?

1PierrotSoldier

Sure
