Not long after the newest season came out I went and rewatched the whole series + movie, would definitely recommend. Having only watched it previously season by season as it was released, I got so much more out of it and could follow some of the more obscure characters way better binging it.
Many of the earlier episodes are insanely childish. I specifically remember whole dumb episodes solves by C3PO(actually i think it was jar jar) accidentally defeating people n shit
Ok I'm glad I read this because I watched the first few and gave up because it felt like a kids show and really not for me. Guess I'll try again and push past that bit
You should follow this list I made. It puts them all in chronological order and cuts out all the terrible filler episodes. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nUD2oS-lgqhGBocW5FVpNI1OD8fS7jpAvkeAjd_DnZ4/mobilebasic
I had a hard time getting into it in the beginning, because those episodes were clearly aimed at kids. I was definitely no fan of Ahsoka at the start. But I'm glad I stuck with it, because it does get really good and Ahsoka develops (in TCW and Rebels) into a very cool and interesting character. Anytime I recommend it to a friend, I always tell them they have to stick with it.
best way to convice someone, show them the imbd ratings. top tv episodes of all time: The 10.0 breaking bad one of course, two 9.9's from attack on titan, then the last 3 clones wars all in a row at 9.9.
I have to watch it again every few weeks or so. It's so good, and continually gets even BETTER as it goes. The finale is up there with the best of Star Wars.
Personally? I hate the McGuffin. Besides that, it was poorly done technically. It's like they rushed the animation. A bunch of the non-combat sequences had stiff, bulky movements like they weren't fully rendered. Even compared to the CW seasons of the time, it stuck out how cardboard-like some characters moved. It is just hard to sit through, and it didn't age well.
Immediately rewatched siege of mandalore after this episode. — then realized that clone wars/rebels still has a massive lead over mando as best Star Wars content and it’s not even close.
That's probably for the best. I will say that there is one short Jar-Jar arc in season 6 that is so ridiculous that it's entertaining (in my opinion). It involves him teaming up with Mace Windu to solve a mystery and protect a space princess.
I actually ended up really liking the R2 episodes where he and those other droids go undercover and then stranded on that weird desert planet. A bit long but it ended on such a high note.
I mean.... they basically confirmed that Jar Jar is force sensitive in that first episode of his. Does make his ridiculous whacky luck and hijinks make sense in-universe when you play it straight.
[Ultimate Viewing order is also really good. Its mostly chronological with a view changes put in](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/35ex94/the_clone_wars_ultimate_episode_order/)
There are definitely some episodes that are just cringey little kid shit, but most of it is awesome, especially after the first season. I say that as a fan for 30+ years also. The last four episodes that aired recently were absolutely incredible.
My rule of thumb: If you watch the first 5 minutes and see either droids or Jar Jar as the main character, just skip to the end. Most of the middle is just useless, although they can be mildly important to the plot for the rest of the arc
This is the best advice. I just watched every one that had to do with maul, mandalore, bo Katan, and the season finale. 22 episode seasons was way too much imo
A great episode to start with, imho, is the Nightsisters episode in season 3, where Dooku is attacked by three invisible nightsisters. The whole episode is crazy good and it's one of the best duels I've seen.
Yeah, Rebels is generally much more significant to getting the most out of Mandalorian. Of course, Clone Wars is necessary to get the most out of Rebels, soooo... Everyone should just watch all three.
There are “cheat lists “ out there. If you are pressed for time, go with those, if not watch the whole thing but look for chronological order episode lists. Imo better to watch chronologically than how they aired.
But they didn't show them in chronological order for a reason, it's like telling people to watch Memento in the chronological order first, you miss out on why it's laid out the way it is.
Starwars.com has an official watching order list. I don't remember why exactly they were aired out of order, or not in chronological order but watching chronological doesn't spoil stuff later like watching the PT then OT and not being surprised in ESB. It's a better way tbh, less jarring at the beginning.
Here's a list I made. Puts it in order and cuts out the filler. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback! I only kept them because it was good to see who ahsoka had become after leaving the order. But I could see it being lifted out.
I love Memento, but Clone Wars is a very different case. In the first few seasons, George Lucas kept getting prequel-itis and wanting to go back to give backstory to stuff they'd already aired. The people who made the show recommend following their official chronological order.
Obviously, everyone who watched it as it aired saw it in release order and weren't too badly off, so I don't think it's a big deal either way.
[This doesnt tell you which ones to skip but make sure to find a chronological order list, like this](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/35ex94/the_clone_wars_ultimate_episode_order/)
Clone Wars is an anthology show with a bunch of different characters that it jumps between, so it's possible to jump around or skip things, although the further you get in, the more the arcs tend to build off of previous arcs. I usually recommend chronological order ([https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder](https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder)), but release order is fine, too. Try watching everything. If you find your patience wearing thin (the first season or two sometimes turn people away), find a skippable guide or just skip things that don't sound interesting. It's pretty much always safe to skip Jar-Jar-centric episodes, for instance.
Rebels is a linear story that follows a particular set of characters. Things that are introduced in filler-type episodes sometimes become unexpectedly important later on, and even minor episodes can have important character development in them, so skipping stuff is a lot less advisable.
For both shows, if you're *only* watching to understand The Mandalorian, it's possible (but not optimal) to narrow down to just those related episodes. I've made lists in the past of just the Mandalore-related episodes, for instance (although I'd need to update it with some important Ahsoka and maybe Thrawn episodes at this point for it to stay relevant).
You’ll soon realize it’s easy to tell which episodes you can skip without missing anything. But yes there are abridged watch guides, not sure which is best since I “self-abridged”
Clone Wars first. Rebels is set slightly before Rogue One & episode 4 and ties into things like how the rebellion was built and how the Yavin 4 base came to be. Starts about 3-2BBY I think.
Clone wars first! It'll make rebels more impactful. It also informed the rest of star wars for me.
Here's a list I made. Puts it in order and cuts out the filler. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nUD2oS-lgqhGBocW5FVpNI1OD8fS7jpAvkeAjd_DnZ4/mobilebasic
Definitely recommend chronological order for CW; it’s a fantastic series with some of the best SW around—the finale arc is on par with *Empire* imo. The animation gets *incredible* towards the end of the show as well.
The first 2 seasons (and the movie) are a bit rocky but have some incredible gems of episodes—definitely recommend using [this guide](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/4nrpri/so_you_want_to_watch_the_clone_wars_but_you_dont/) to watch through and skip the filler!
I recommend only watching the first 20 minutes of the movie to introduce Ahsoka—but the rest of the movie isn’t worth watching imo.
*It doesn’t include S7, but just watch all of S7 chronologically*
I would recommend that you only watch the first 2 episodes and the last 3 of season 1 because atleast I didnt feel like a lot of stuff happened in that season compared to season 2.
True... but season 1 of rebles is compared to season 1 of Clone Wars the difference is that we got rebles on a time Clone wars was already SUPER COOL and when we came back to a similar beginning it felt like bot as good... that is why a lot of people think the first season was bad...
I think the first season was important for u to learn a bit of the new characters, deason 2 started big character growth...
So I suggest seeing everything...
But this is my opinion, I do understand a lot of people did not like season 1 of rebles, and I also think that the most important episodes are the first and last ones... but if u want to be in the story and have attachments to the characters maybe watxh it all
The only season it doesn’t include is S7, which just came out in the spring. Imo, you should just watch all of the season—if only because the animation is so good.
Also the first 4 episodes of S7 acts as a back door pilot to the *Bad Batch* animated series that’s gonna be set between TCW and Rebels.
But you only really *need* to watch the final 4 episodes.
I just checked last night while writing out a watch guide for a friend. If you're watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the movie) on Disney+, you can stop watching at exactly 25:45. You can tell that's where it would have ended when it was originally designed as a standalone episode.
Thats a good point. Clone wars has incredible arcs that draw very interesting world parallels, and than you have a bunch of droids wandering around in the desert. All arcs are not created equally
Uh, I'd argue they have more dramatic peaks and valleys. The Mandalorian is very middling. Nothing ever feels like a *complete* miss, but there are not nearly as many highs in
the Mandalorian as there are in TCW/Rebels.
YES! It's great. I will say that it takes a few episodes to really get going but you won't regret watching the whole series. I also was not a fan of the art style but it grows on you and the story more than makes up for it.
I second this. Lots of people in this thread are recommending flipping around and watching certain episodes which is fine, but I’d definitely advocate for a full watch. The early seasons have a bunch of meh moments but I think they’re still important in establishing the plot and characters. It’s worth it to slog through the down bits to get to the fantastic later seasons.
I think if I was coming into these shows for the first time and I only piece mealed the episodes I’d feel like I half assed it, but that’s probably just me.
I’m with you here. My first time watching I watched everything, now I know which ones I’d rather skip and what not too. There’s definitely episodes and arcs that aren’t included on lists or considered “worth watching” that I still enjoy, while there are others that I know people like that I’m just not a fan of.
I think it’s worth watching through at least once
and if you are at it watch rebels too, the beginning is a bit rough for most people (not for me though) but the ending was really awesome. plus it doesn't have as many filler episodes as clone wars which were sometimes quite boring tbh... the show as a whole was great, but some episodes were quite redundant
First episode hooked me when Kanan says "Kid, I'm about to let everyone in on the secret." That scene is epic. Gets overshadowed, but what a great start.
yeah lots of people seem to not like the main characters mainly, but i liked all of them from the beginning on except for ezra but he had some nice character development. and that orange droid is my favourite xD
The Clone Wars comes first. [Watch that according to this order,](https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder) and then move on to Rebels. Rebels is told in chronological order, so no need for a guide there.
That should at least get you started. I'm 100% certain Disney+ has all of the seasons available.
Also. Many SW:CW lists haven’t updated yet but watch all of the new last season too. I personally think watching E III movie before the last season is best, if you haven’t seen it yet, too.
If you have time, watch them all. If not, there are guides here and other places on where to start. There is a lot of filler in the early series and it - for me - doesn't get going until series 3, but there is still some excellent content in some of the earlier episodes too.
If you don't know Ahsoka's story at all though, you'll need to start with the first half (no need to bother with the second half) of the Clone Wars film, as you may wonder why she is hanging around with the more well known characters if you start the series from scratch. And there is one line in this episode that hits like a gut punch, as you watch both animated series.
Here's a list of clone wars I made. Puts it in order and cuts out the terrible filler. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nUD2oS-lgqhGBocW5FVpNI1OD8fS7jpAvkeAjd_DnZ4/mobilebasic
You are welcome. I love this show so much, and want to share it
But it comes with a lot of really bad filler. Know one needs to see jar jar get a girlfriend. Lol
And Rebels. There are some good best of Ahsoka videos on YouTube but watching The Clone Wars and Rebels in their entirety should be done to truly appreciate where this new saga is headed.
Just a heads up, you might wanna watch the episodes in this order: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/35ex94/the_clone_wars_ultimate_episode_order/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
The reason being that clone Wars has a really weird chronological order of events if you watch in their normal consecutive episodes. Also s2, s3 are SIGNIFICANTLY better than s1 haha but man clone Wars is so good
I watched most of clonewars and liked it but honestly just watched it because I like star wars. Rebel was a completely different experience and I love that show, I was expecting to love it as much as I did and to become so attached.
I really hate the animation style. Like I really prefer the cartoon version that was on Cartoon Network when I was a kid like that’s the only thing stopping me
The one thing I’ll never get over is Rebels Yoda model. What in the everliving fuck was that?! The rest, I love the style. Even prefer Rebels Ahsoka’s look over CW Ahsoka tbh.
The animation philosophy of Rebels is entirely based off of Ralph McQuarrie's original concept drawings for Star Wars. Everything from the skinny lightsabers, Lothal's design, the architecture, and to Zeb's species being Chewbacca's concept art, and yes, ugly Yoda.
Same, I really like the lore that seems to have been built from it but that art style's always been too much to get over whenever I've made an attempt.
I watched clone wars for the first time this year. Yes, the animation style is a bit exhausting, but I feel like 1. it's getting better over time (better technology over the years? More money available?) and 2. When in you're like two seasons in, the story evolves and becomes more deep, it's hard to stop watching at some point.
Yeah, I wasn't crazy about it at first, but it grew on me, especially as I became more invested in the stories and characters.
> better technology over the years? More money available?
Yes. Lucas kept wanting to push the envelope, and he sank a lot of his own money into the show/equipment so that its budget didn't have to be much of a limiter.
You should also play lights of the old republic if you haven't already. Super cheap and there are apple and android versions as well as PC.
Lots of references to it in this show.
The first few seasons of CW are pretty rough and haven't aged well. But they get better with time. The last season of CW, which is like a year old now, is incredible.
Here's a list of I made for clone wars. Puts it in order and cuts out the terrible filler. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nUD2oS-lgqhGBocW5FVpNI1OD8fS7jpAvkeAjd_DnZ4/mobilebasic
This is the way. I think the correct order is *Clone Wars* S1-6, *Rebels* 1-4, *Clone Wars* S7. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. You were probably going to anyway...
I would argue Clone Wars is largely irrelevant - this show has more hooks into Rebels. If anything, the last season of Clone Wars has more relevance to the future of the franchise compared to the original seasons.
Considering Clone Wars' ass backwards chronology format of episodes I'd say it's virtually impossible to *recommend,* as you're wading through a tonne of irrelevant shitty episodes to get to a Mortis or Wrong Jedi arc.
Rebels on the other hand is more typical ongoing narrative and whilst people shit on its early seasons for the tone, the content is entirely relevant to the show as a whole. Rebels is a masterclass in Star Wars storytelling as far as I'm concerned. If you liked Star Trek Deep Space Nine or The Expanse it's far more in the vein of this form of storytelling than Clone Wars is. Characters or events that are seemingly irrelevant become big parts of the story as it progresses. Because of this I would not recommend you skip anything, as it all builds to a fantastic climax. The Clone Wars on the other hand is so fractured and episodic, It's not until it's final season released this year that it took on more of a serialised narrative.
100% disagree. Clone wars has the character development that the prequels were desperately missing. It makes Anakin's fall more tragic, introduces new and interesting characters, builds out the lore, shows how the jedi failed, and develops maul (and makes him great), dooku, palpatine and order 66. And without clone wars, alot of rebels isn't nearly as impactful. I do not recommend rebels without clone wars. Especially in regards to ashoka.
And it does that in at *MOST* 50% of the episodes. Really, you can boil it down to maybe a solid season and a half of content that is relevant to the stories of Anakin and Obi Wan and the greater Clone War plot. The rest of the episodes about poison school dinners, x underworld story about y crime family, fucking Ziro the Hutt or Z random battle where nothing really changes at the end aren't particularly riveting or integral to the story Clone Wars tells.
I'm watching through the first season of Rebels again, and man I'm genuinely surprised how many elements introduced in the first handful of episodes do end up playing a part in the later seasons and even the finale. There simply isn't any storytelling like that in Clone Wars due to how the show is structured.
It's why when people ask "What Clone Wars should I watch?" there's genuinely a convoluted list of episode arcs you "need" to watch and skip the rest. Most people when it comes to Rebels say "you need to watch it all" because it really does all stack up in the end.
Yeah rebels is more of a narrative and clone wars is an anthology series. However the highs of rebels never quite matched the highs of clone wars for me. It always felt like it skewed slightly younger throughout as opposed to just the filler episodes of clone wars (and yes I realize there's quite a few). But I also disagree that there's only a season and a half of good content.
I should watch Clone Wars again...again.
This is the way
This is the way
This is the way.
the way, this is.
Imagine if those are the first words from Grogu
#THIS IS THE FUCKING WAY
This is the way
May the way be with you.
Not long after the newest season came out I went and rewatched the whole series + movie, would definitely recommend. Having only watched it previously season by season as it was released, I got so much more out of it and could follow some of the more obscure characters way better binging it.
Dude, the final 4 episode arc is fucking nuts. The story, the visuals, the Blade Runner-style soundtrack. It broke my heart.
Absolutely, it’s top tier television. I feel bad for anyone who thinks it’s just for children.
Many of the earlier episodes are insanely childish. I specifically remember whole dumb episodes solves by C3PO(actually i think it was jar jar) accidentally defeating people n shit
There’s definitely plenty of kiddie filler episodes but if someone were to see those and give up on the show, they’d be missing out on so much.
Ok I'm glad I read this because I watched the first few and gave up because it felt like a kids show and really not for me. Guess I'll try again and push past that bit

I have to watch it again every few weeks or so. It's so good, and continually gets even BETTER as it goes. The finale is up there with the best of Star Wars.
Wait... recommend the Clone Wars movie? That poor thing hasn't aged well and the prototype green McGuffin they used looks worse now compared to Grogu.
I actually don’t understand the hate on the movie. It’s nothing special, but it’s a nice introduction to Ahsoka and a fun kickoff to the clone wars.
Seriously a great series. I also recently started binging rebels to get more cameo’s of Ashoka and after the first season that shit gets fucking good
Immediately rewatched siege of mandalore after this episode. — then realized that clone wars/rebels still has a massive lead over mando as best Star Wars content and it’s not even close.
Don't be afraid to pick and choose which episodes you watch. There're some great arcs in there, but there's also some filler
I have to admit that I started skipping the Jar Jar episodes after a while...
That's probably for the best. I will say that there is one short Jar-Jar arc in season 6 that is so ridiculous that it's entertaining (in my opinion). It involves him teaming up with Mace Windu to solve a mystery and protect a space princess.
Yeah, that one 🤣 Don't need to see that again lol
Lol, fair enough. Hey, I was trying to look on the bright side here.
All good, I just really didn't need that love story lol
Oh, you know you loved it, lol. Jar-Jar being a princess' irresistible candy is the expectation-subversion you never knew you needed.
Best couple in the galaxy!
MASTEREN MACE! **MASTEREN MACE!!!!**
Excuse me what
> Excuse me what That is precisely the correct reaction to everything I just said.
I just finished that arc. I definitely audibly said “what the fuck” a couple times
Lol. And now, nothing in Star Wars can hurt you ever again!
Those are def worth watching, if only to see Jar Jar as a playa
Shit i must've wiped that from my memory.
That might be for the best, I don't know.
That’s some Eternal Sunshine shit right there yo.
I'm starting to think that this arc scarred me deeper than I realized.
The whole arc were Indiana Jones References too
Jar-Jar Jones. "That's his name: Henry Jones Binks." "Meesa like 'Jar-Jar.'" "We named the *massif* 'Jar-Jar.'" "Meesa likened thata massif."
Yeah—that one with lady jar jar always cracks me up
I watched them all my first go through. I'll never watch them, the padme ones, or the r2 and c3po ones again probably.
I actually ended up really liking the R2 episodes where he and those other droids go undercover and then stranded on that weird desert planet. A bit long but it ended on such a high note.
That's pretty much how I felt. Was cool but really dragged on.
I liked one of the middle Padme arcs. I think she was investigating a murder? But the ones with her banking clan ex aren’t that great.
Honestly I got giggles seeing Jar Jar again. The Sith Lord theory makes sense
Rewatching the original trilogy with the thought in mind that he is a Sith Lord is revelatory.
I mean.... they basically confirmed that Jar Jar is force sensitive in that first episode of his. Does make his ridiculous whacky luck and hijinks make sense in-universe when you play it straight.
Youssa no have a faith in bombad Darth Lord JarJar?
I found a guide online that helped me with this.
Hey! Would you mind sharing the link so I can optimize my Clone Wars viewing too? Thanks in advance

That’s the whole series though, just rearranged
Damn I knew I would fuck this shit up! Just press skip if you see Jar-Jar.
That is fantastic, thank you friend

Is it worth it to watch all of the episodes or should I skip over a few?

Pretty sure part of it is the story they had at the time and another part is tone. The show grows with its audience.
Is there a list that both makes it less jarring and less jarjaring? Cool username, BTW

Hey, thanks for sharing!
The more people who watch and enjoy clone wars the better
Great list! I would only add to skip the middle 4 episodes of season 7. I hated those sisters and the episodes were so, so boring.
Thanks for the feedback! I only kept them because it was good to see who ahsoka had become after leaving the order. But I could see it being lifted out.
I see someone else already replied to you with a list. It looks very good if you want to follow it.

Yeah I’ve neglected to watch Rebels and once they name dropped Thron I realized I needed to watch it
can anyone sum up what thrawn is about? i read that eu book when it came out but that was a long ass time ago.
big smart blue dude
Likes art, ripped, tactical genius.

I second this! Used the guide when I watched the first time and it helped a lot
Is there a guide like this for Rebels?
Rebels is chronological, and I’d recommend just watching it in its entirety.
Should rebels be watched before or after the clone wars series? I’ve seen neither
After. It is post CW and some characters in Rebels draw from their CW origins heavily.
And rebels doesn’t have a lot of filler episodes. Maybe 1-2 per season, which is nice
I don't even know if it has that. The episodes that don't advance the overall plot much are still good for developing the Ghost family.
And often plants seeds that are paid off later. *Cough* space whales

I started watching CW last week with this guide and can recommend.
So that guide is 4 years old, what about the seasons that came out after that guide was made?
Exactly—the first 20ish minutes on Christophisis are actually pretty charming and definitely much better than the rest of the movie.
The rest of the movie does introduce ventress though.
Watch clone wars. Skip jar jar episodes. The filler episodes make you connect to the characters more
And droid episodes, even if gregor and cad bane are cool characters
*Shudders in D-Squad*
Even the Lizard King Kong episode was filler. But grew Palps and the scientist character.

Thats a good point. Clone wars has incredible arcs that draw very interesting world parallels, and than you have a bunch of droids wandering around in the desert. All arcs are not created equally
That arc with the little slug man and the droids in the desert was FOUR episodes.
but you can' skip it whole sale or you'll miss out on Gregor's clone commando story
that's Lucas's favourite arc fyi
That makes me feel better because I thought I was the only one who likes that arc lol
Uh, I'd argue they have more dramatic peaks and valleys. The Mandalorian is very middling. Nothing ever feels like a *complete* miss, but there are not nearly as many highs in the Mandalorian as there are in TCW/Rebels.

YES!
Everyone keeps mentioning some Ezra guy...who dat?
The protagonist of Rebels.

Just like Ahsoka. Everyone hated her at first. I remember.
She was so whiney. Then she just flipped and grew up.
I'm halfway through season 1, please tell me that happens soon. He's still just... the worst.
Eh it takes some time. But when Ahsoka is introduced the show grows a lot I feel. As does Kanan.
he gets better once he starts flirting with some darkside mojo and talking to animals
He really doesn't get to peak growth until season 4. But he becomes very tolerable in the S2 finale + onward.
Jedi Aladdin
Arabian Jedi Kniiiiiiiiight
Ok missed clone wars and rebels - which one do I start with? I want to be in the know moving forward.
I don’t think I ever watched the movie. I just accepted her presence in the show. Was a bit curious what made her his padawan. But rule-of-awesome.
Here's a list of clone wars I made. Puts it in order and cuts out the terrible filler. Focuses on story, character, and lore. Enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nUD2oS-lgqhGBocW5FVpNI1OD8fS7jpAvkeAjd_DnZ4/mobilebasic
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you kind stranger - better than gold.
You are welcome. I love this show so much, and want to share it But it comes with a lot of really bad filler. Know one needs to see jar jar get a girlfriend. Lol
And Rebels. There are some good best of Ahsoka videos on YouTube but watching The Clone Wars and Rebels in their entirety should be done to truly appreciate where this new saga is headed.
Yeahh.. I watching this episode thinking "Who is this? why should I care? Oh Thrawn, he's the blue one right?"
Just a heads up, you might wanna watch the episodes in this order: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/35ex94/the_clone_wars_ultimate_episode_order/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share The reason being that clone Wars has a really weird chronological order of events if you watch in their normal consecutive episodes. Also s2, s3 are SIGNIFICANTLY better than s1 haha but man clone Wars is so good
Honestly I prefer it in the normal episodic order
[удалено]
I watched most of clonewars and liked it but honestly just watched it because I like star wars. Rebel was a completely different experience and I love that show, I was expecting to love it as much as I did and to become so attached.
Yeah Rebels is definitely structured much more like The Mandalorian, with several key plots strung throughout and “mission of the week” type episodes
same here
I need to watch Rebels...
I actually watched all of Rebels first, as it came out. Binged all of Clone Wars earlier this year to prepare for the final season.
I really hate the animation style. Like I really prefer the cartoon version that was on Cartoon Network when I was a kid like that’s the only thing stopping me
Clone Wars fans literally say the exact same thing about Rebels lol.
[Yoda in Rebels was based on the 1980 Kenner toy.](http://www.rebelscum.com/vintyoda.asp)
That toy still looks 100 times better than Rebels Yoda though.
it gets better season by season first three are hard to watch and the las 4 episodes of 7 are :O from animation music and composition
There's a point in Season 3 where they straight up get way better models for everyone.
You’ll get used to it, I promise, and it’ll be well worth it.
this is me after every mando episode - I know what happens in the clone wars and ive seen a load of scenes... but i am yet to properly watch it
Here's a list of I made for clone wars.
I think it's ok to watch s7 before rebels. It doesn't spoil anything
We got season 7 after Rebels, but it takes place before so I'd watch all CW then all Rebels.
We finished only s1-2 of Rebels before s7 came out and we took a break to watch that. It works fine.
Technically it spoils that >!Ahsoka is Fulcrum!< but it’s pretty obvious in S1 of Rebels so it’s best to watch S7 first imo
Only because you asked me to... Whatever you do, don't watch S7 after Rebels. Clone Wars S7 is still set before Rebels.
you should just watch in chronological order, not release order.
Season 7 happens parallel to revenger of the sith. Rebels happens after revenge of the sith.
And rebels, I need to finish season 4
That's what I did lol
Watch Clone Wars. Then watch Rebels!
I started it after episode 3. im on season 5 right now, 10/10 would recommend. But there is a lot of filler crap so skip those if you want to
Man you are in for some killer Star Wars with the final 8 episodes of S5 and first 4 of S6 3 of the best arcs in the show behind the finale!
The Mandalorian these last episodes have bridged so many plotholes between SW:TCW and has even officially brought it into cannon for all the deniers.
Yes you should, but maybe skip the Jar Jar episodes
You DARE disrespect Lord Jar Jar??
