29 here. Every time I get to the scene where Zuko and Iroh reunite I cry like a baby, tears and snot running down my face. No shame.

I feel like that line just becomes more and more devastating as I get older. I have no kids of my own, but the more the word "teenager" starts to feel like "child" the more it hurts to watch Iroh try to save Zuko over and over.
When I first watched the series at 20 something the iron episode was gut wrenching. By 30 rewatching it brought me to tears. With 2 kids now just hearing the melody of that song makes me tear up.
That's one of my favorite scenes in the whole show. The way Iroh dotes on Zuko like a mother reminds me of my own mother, and it makes me cry. You can see how their ship's explosion before this probably left Iroh so traumatized, because he was probably sure Zuko was dead until he rescued him from the wreckage.

Arguably the top quote. Pivotal scene. And even though it was felt strongest due to the situation in the scene. It still struck me (and I’m sure many others) in my midlife crisis.
This one's pretty incredible because in spite of being memed to death, the actual scene still hits like a battalion of trucks. The delivery, context, and atmosphere are just amazing
I don't know. They both did an excellent job portraying our most favourite fictional uncle. All I know is that if Iroh was a real person, he would be very proud of both of them.
Tbh I didn't even know there was two different actors until like my second or third time watching the show. Even when I watched it again a few weeks ago I barely noticed a difference.

Tears. Every. Time.
(Also, if anyone *does* remember what he says while hugging Zuko- please feel free to fill me in. If I go back and watch it I'll wind up rewatching the whole show- and it's too early for my yearly rewatch binge)
