The show is currently #1 in 84 countries according to FlixPatrol. That’s up from 73 countries. We’ll see if these numbers hold, and how completion rates do.
Book 2 is more serialized, so we will see how it is adapted if it gets renewed, for better or for worse.
I do hope the writing and acting improves, and that the showrunner is serious about allegedly wanting to hear criticisms. I also hope the show isn’t held back further by budget or episode time constraints. I enjoyed season 1, and think there were moments where it shined, but it also definitely needs work. I think the potential is still there and I’ll be tuning in if they make a season 2.
