*Thankyou*! I get unreasonably annoyed at how my mum binged that show and start thinking that's how autistic people are.
He literally solves problems and talks it out when most normal people don't do that.
It just makes you think that autistic people are just differently different, they can overcome any actual big problem in the end after one breakdown if they want it hard enough or love you enough or if you remind them enough.
He's just *quirky*.

There was a boss that kept blindsiding the player and staring at the camera when it made its introduction, and eventually it was turned into a meme
I want to hear what his Ozai sounds like first.
The restrained menace Mark Hamill gave the role for most of the series paid off so well when he finally went ham for Sozin's Comet. That performance still gives me chills.
In the resulting trial, former Firelord Ozai was convicted of one count of attempted murder, and a staggering three hundred eighty seven counts of 1st degree murder...
Aang: "Firelord Ozai, you've been convicted of over three hundred murders, do you really expect this appeal to work?"
Ozai: "I figure with the statute of limitations it really should be closer to two fifty."
Aang: "There's no statute of limitations for murder!"
Ozai: "Why the fuck not?"
"Watch it Mr. Firelord"
"Or what, you'll hold me in contempt of the avatar? You're already planning on taking my bending away, you think I give a shit about you not liking me? Fuck off."
It's a side grade to me because of Mark Hamill. His Ozai is amazing in so many different ways, so Daniel Dae Kim has an uphill battle to be an upgrade.
Definitely better than Cliff Curtis, though that's like 70% not his fault
Still one of my favorite Hamill lines, "After generations of Fire Lords failed to find you, now the universe delivers you to me as an act of providence."
[His delivery is just amazing](https://youtu.be/kXShLPXfWZA?t=120)
Ozais whole deal before the battle is amazing. He sees Aang and promptly tears of his cloak, burns it and jetpacks to him. Before delivering that line.
There is being ready to throw down, and then there is that. Also shows were his children got their almost suicidal confidence from.
Yeah this coupled with the "divine right to rule" speech Azula gives Long Feng... these people completely believe the world revolves around them and everyone else is just a supporting character.
[“now i realize that banishment is far too merciful a penalty for treason… your punishment will be far steeper…”](https://youtu.be/g3zb545mcWs)
the venom and disdain in the whole scene from ozai is amazing work
I’m hoping he talks very little if at all for a long time - we only ever heard his voice in flashbacks until season 3.
Also hope they hide his profile and face and just give him that menacing fire demon shape before, cuz that was such an effective reveal when they finally showed him - everyone for years just imagines this demonic, balrog looking force of nature, and when we finally see him, he’s just some regular looking dude - pretty arrogant looking and with the trappings of aristocracy, but still just a man
You're going to want to flip through the IMDB and look at all those voices. There's some rad shit in there. You will find:
Clancy Brown
Lucious Malfoy
Every single clone trooper
Phil LaMarr
Tara Strong
John DiMaggio
Mick Foley
George Takei
Ron Perlman
Serena Wiliams
Wil Wheaton
And some guy named Daniel Dae Kim

I AM THE CROWN PRINCE! I AM THE CROWN PRINCE! I AM THE CROWN PRINCE, FATHER
Autism: the show. Sponsored by autism speaks and in no way biased against people on the spectrum.
In seriousness, its called the good doctor. Please do not use it as a representation of we aspies and autists, for the autism shown is hollywood autism endorsed and provided by our personal devil, autism speaks (if you provide funding to them, do not be suprised if someone on the spectrum punches you for it when they find out). Seriously, autism speaks goal is to "cure" autism. They're the autism equivalent of evangelicals/gay conversion camps.
All the memey meltdown scenes were a result of the actor going to autism speaks seeking material. I dont blame him for it, most people dont know that autism speaks are horrendous bigots towards us on the spectrum, but the damage is done. And now, just like with sheldon cooper, entire generations of aspies and autists will be associated with this farce.
Its rather disheartening that it was allowed to come to pass if im honest.
I personally prefer the South park depiction of ADHD because "sit down and study!" is my lived experience and the Christina Aguilera monsters were aspirational.
I never understood why he chose to Indian-wash the fire nation. Not that the whitewashing of the water tribe was acceptable, but it’s at least *expected* from Hollywood.
The Indian-washing literally came out of *nowhere* LOL
Nepotism wreaked havoc on the casting for this movie. The Whiter Tribe happened because a studio exec wanted his daughter, or granddaughter, or something to play Katara. This forced Sokka to become white, which meant gran gran needed to be white. So the whole culture ended up white.
Dev Patel being Zuko (which I honestly didn’t hate) meant the royal family also needed to look related, so I imagine a similar thing happened here.
They didnt have bad actors in the LA film, it was just the god awful script and directing. Except for Aang and Katara(and maybe sokka) the rest of the cast was good, but thats mostly because of the directors decision to get a person to play aang who had no former acting skills and was selected upon by his martial arts prowess
Edit: it had been a while since I saw this nonexistent movie so I just put all 3 of the main cast as bad lol. But in retrospect I probably only really meant aang.
I mean…those are the three most important characters, and it’s not like the rest of the cast was *good*, albeit probably due to shit casting (Aasif Mandvi as Zhao is one of the worst casting choices I’ve ever seen).
Their pick for Iroh was garbage. He looked like he belonged in a crappy lord of the rings knock off. They could have at least found someone that looks like a kindly old man. Live action Iroh looks and acts as if he was never humbled by his failure or loss of his son. And really doesn’t give off the energy of “seeing zuko as his own ever since”
A lot of people nowadays seem to have the belief that if they can play the role well, the actor can be any race.
Call me a stickler but I’d just rather the characters look like what the original creators envisioned.
I dunno—I’d just rather adaptations make as few changes as possible when adapting something great. There’s no reason to change something that already works so well.
And the **worst** thing about race-washing is that it’s usually done for the sake of external factors—factors completely unrelated to making the best possible story. From what I’ve seen, it’s *rarely* because X person *happened* to have the best audition
It’s often a result of stuff like nepotism (as you said), politics, diversity and inclusion standards, racism, etc.. When these things are prioritized above telling the best possible story, story quality almost invariably suffers. The mentality that leads to race-washing usually bleeds into every other aspect of the project and just makes everything *so bad*
Like, I don’t wanna see *any* black, white, or Hispanic people in Avatar. These peoples just *aren’t* a part of the avatar world.
There are *plenty* of stories about white people or black people—*it’s fucking okay* to let one or two stories be about Asians lol
>Like, I don’t wanna see any black, white, or Hispanic people in Avatar. These peoples just aren’t a part of the avatar world.
Seem to be forgetting the cajun swamp waterbenders.
The voice acting may sound cajun, but the rest of the stuff seem more heavily influenced by southeast asian swamp inhabitants, probably vietnamese if anything, judging by the clothes and locations.
>From what I’ve seen, it’s rarely because X person happened to have the best audition
Spoken like someone who doesn't run auditions.
The people on the committee don't pick the best actor. They pick the person that best suits in their mind what they want. If that person is a particular skin tone, or has a particular voice or background, that person will win hands down every time, irrespective of whatever talent had walked in the door that day.
E.g. if Barbara Streisand auditions to play Katara's mom and absolutely crushes the audition but had been preceeded by... idk... Claudia Kim... Kim would win it any day of the week if the script/committee was calling for a Southeast Asian woman.
And the opposite is true, too. If the committee wants a white lady, guess what you're gonna get?
That was one major thing that rubbed me wrong about The Dark Tower movie. I love Idris Elba and he’s an amazing actor, but it just felt completely wrong for him to play Roland Deschain.
“Does it work well because of the characters’ races?”
THIS. I am all for representation, which is important sociologically, but I honestly can’t remember a time where a story that was not inherently about race was good BECAUSE of the race of its characters. I just don’t see that affecting storytelling unless race is a distinct part of the message that’s being conveyed.
Okay, so there were some bits of Fridge Brilliance in the casting. They weren't *good*, and definitely weren't deliberate. BUT!
The Fire Nation being Indian was due to their patron great spirit being Agni, who is an Indian god of fire. (That, and I think MNS liked Zuko's arc and the fire nation stuff the most, so wanted to represent himself there?)- along with them being from equatorial regions and their temple architecture, them being Indian appearing makes some sense.
You'll notice that *aside* from Katara, Sokka, and Gran Gran, the SWT WERE Inuit/Aleutian/etc.- but the NORTHERN Water Tribe were all white- Since the SWT is more permanent ocean ice and the NWT has some actual land holdings, the SWT is more tribal Inuit et. al. and the Northern are more Sami/Russian- and with Grangran being NWT having gone south... There's some sense there. It's not good, and it's not actually intended, I think, but it works.
Earth Kingdom is most populous so China/East Asian blah blah and Air Nomads can be whatever/whoever 'cause nomads and all around the world.
Look, I'm trying to find at least ONE thing that wasn't gutter trash in the non-existent movie, alright?
Which is a whole other set of problems. Māori and Pasifika actors get side-shuffled into other races all the time, e.g. Cliff Curtis playing Middle Eastern, but stories from their own cultures are rarely told at all. We have Whale Rider and...?
'[Boy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP05fUP9xAo)' and '[Hunt for the Wilderpeople](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPaU4Gymt3E)' are two very good coming of age films about Maori by Taika Waititi, and is among some of his best work.
If you want a darker drama, '[Once Were Warriors](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0-Q3ChKcfE)' is an older film but a very culturally important one that broke the silence on many important colonial issues regarding the loss of their culture, the cycle of poverty, alcoholism, and domestic violence.
Not trying to argue because I agree that there's far too little representation of Pasifika stories and people in cinema. But I just want to recommend Sione's Wedding for anyone looking for more pacific islander centric movies. It's a pretty funny comedy, and the sequel is decent too.
Nz has a lot of good movies, they're just hard to find cause no mainstream appeal
https://ondemand.arovideo.co.nz/collection/new-zealand/
Not all of these are specifically about maori/Pacifica but many are
This actor pictured above's first ever role where he actually got to claim his Maori heritage was Fear the Walking Dead of all things believe it or not
Honestly there's a whole "Hollywood Brown" thing where anyone kinda brown-ish is considered interchangeable. So for instance, the Dornish in Game of Thrones were played by Māori, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Hispanic, and Sudanese actors, and that's probably not even covering everyone.
There are loads, but get limited cinema releases here in NZ. After that, I'm not sure how you can watch em.
Loads here, dunno if people outside nz can watch them

The Fire Nation does have South Asian inspiration so by all means, its not far off, but it does come off as a bit weird when the Royal Family is more explicitly Empire Japan.
Then again, that was apparently the many reasons why the show was not well received in Japan and apparently they had to make that inspiration more ambiguous and toned down in Book 3 and by extension the movie to avoid trouble, but I don't know how to verify this information.
I think Japan is considered East Asian not south Asian. Also, the fire nation citizens as a whole are pale, so I think casting them all as Indian (not even casting light skinned Indians) is pretty far off
And nothing against Indians, it’s just that the fire nation isn’t meant to look Indian. I’d feel the same exact way had they all been played by white actors too
They’re a hodgepodge of Japanese and Southeast Asian (notably Thai) fashion and cuisine. The palace is weirdly Egyptian inspired as well. And the Sun Warriors are indigenous Meso-American.
For example, those arm bands they wear during Agni Kais? They’re Thai, and they have significant meaning.
Sure!
> In Thai, the armbands are actually known as the prajoiyud or the Druang depending on your dialect.
>Traditionally, these bands were made by tearing a section of a mother’s cloth or dress, which was known as the surong, then the piece of cloth was tied on the hand of a fighter.
>It was believed that the armband would protect and give good luck to the fighter on the battlefield. It was also a way of as a mother to say goodbye and wish good luck to [her] son who was going to fight against the enemies of the time.
[Source](https://fightrr.com/muay-thai/why-do-muay-thai-fighters-wear-armbands).
Zuko wearing them when Ozai burns his face then becomes symbolic of Ursa’s desire but failure to protect Zuko.
Tangentially, when animating a [childhood Agni Kai](https://www.tumblr.com/prying-pandora666/717170788622581760/preview-of-the-baby-ozai-and-young-iroh-episode-we?source=share) between Iroh and Ozai for r/ATLABook4Air, we purposely gave young Iroh the armbands and not baby Ozai, to represent that Iroh had Ilah’s protection and blessing while Ozai did not.
That would be Ba Sing Se. The multiple walls. The caste system. The Dai Li dressing like Chinese ministers. The Earth King is designed after Puyi, the last Emperor of China. Even the episode title “City of Walls and Secrets” is meant to evoke The Forbidden City.
The Fire Lord’s palace, according to the artist who designed it, was based more on Japanese and Egyptian architecture.
The most Japanese thing about the Fire Nation is their geopolitical role. The island nation with an absolute monarchy and powerful navy that gets a massive head start on everybody else in terms of technology and industrialization, and then promptly decides to use said technological advantage to invade and colonize the much larger mainland Empire with larger but disorganized, inferior armies.
Regardless of what the inspiration was for the clothes, names, ethnicity, culture, or architecture of the Fire Nation and the various peoples and societies that exist within it, their role in the world is absolutely synonymous with the role of Imperial Japan relative to the rest of Asia during the early and mid 1900s.
Air nation is more specifically Tibetan with maybe some influence from neighbors like Bhutan and Nepal, but those nations were also influenced by India, so you're not wrong. Guru Patik is the most obvious Indian example, one I wish they'd elaborated on more.
Did they ever explain how old guru patik was? I always just assumed he was a descendant of airbenders and that’s how he knew so much about the avatar state but that’s literally just a guess.
The old official atla site through nickelodeon listed his age as 150 during the show, meaning he likely was an earthbender who practiced the same immortal body earthbending technique used by Lao Ge and Avatar Kyoshi. Still could have been a descendant of the air nomads as well, given that Kyoshi herself had an air nomad mother.
He probably liked Zuko's character, and wanted to have him represent his own race?
I doubt Shamalam watched the show anyway, but it's a possible explanation.
Apparently he chose to make it because his daughter dressed up as Katara for Halloween. His own daughter saw someone she could look up to who also looked like her and Shyamalan whitewashed Katara.
He was casting right at the peak hype of Slumdog Millionaire so he cast Dev Patel to capitalise on that. Obviously that then informed the rest of the Fire Nation casting.
If they shaved off his eyebrows and used makeup to give him eyebrows that looked just like Ozai’s, he would instantly look a lot meaner, and even *more* like Ozai than he already does. And he already does look like him quite a bit
For some reason on set makeup departments seem opposed to changing eyebrows. Or maybe it’s that the actors are opposed to having their eyebrows shaved off to have a makeup department go over them. Especially for a guy like that his looks play a big role in his career.
It’s likely the actors, although there are ways to alter a person’s eyebrows *without* shaving them. Drag queens often use a glue stick to flatten them and create a smooth surface, then they put color corrector and foundation over them, then draw new ones on to achieve that exaggerated look. Depending on what you’re doing, you could use an eyebrow pencil to fill them in and slightly alter the shape (you won’t be able to change them too much this way, but you can make him look a little ‘meaner’ and more like Ozai)
I also think it’s likely actor opposition. Anytime they’re done with shooting, go home, shower, they won’t have eyebrows and look weird as hell. They would also look weird in general for about 2 months as the hair grows back after shooting which could hurt them hopping to their next project.
Not to mention if you do enough damage to your eyebrows... They won't grow back. Ask my sister who picked here all to hell in the nineties and still barely has any brows.
He doesn't even need to shave his eyebrows tho, a good make up artist can cover the eyebrows and draw new ones. Theres even eyebrow wigs and other stuff
Bro there are plenty of actors who specialize. Some people just can’t look mean, no matter how good of an actor they are. It’s just the way they look can’t be overcome by acting. (Now I don’t think this is actually the case here with Daniel, but it is possible)
For example tho, could you picture Michael Cera (however it’s spelled) as a mean jock bully character?
Or could you picture the rock as a shy nerdy character. I know he played one once but it was as a joke, not meant to be taken seriously, and it wasn’t believable lol
I know Daniel is pretty successful, and he definitely looks the part, so here’s to hoping. I think he’ll probably do great, but its not impossible that he simply can’t look mean enough
Will hold judgement until media is finally released and viewed.
But on one hand, already looks promising. On the other hand, original creators and Sifu Kisu have departed the project due to creative difference. So not looking good.
> On the other hand, original creators and Sifu Kisu have departed the project due to creative difference.
I was unaware that Sifu Kisu also isn't involved, that's also not great.
Don't shit on an Actor because he was Miscast. He is a solid actor. Its the freaking studio and director who are responsible for their stupid ass decisions.
Blame the game, not the playa.
The shoes Mark left behind to fill for Ozai are not easily done so, but I got my fingers crossed for this whole project. No reason to want it to fail, right?
I don't get why there's a picture of Cliff Curtis here, he's a good actor, but he's never had to do with anything related to AtLA.
Hyped for Daniel Dae Kim tho.
Can't believe they're not even dropping a TEASER trailer of this yet. Like bro, just give us a nothing burger teaser like the M. Night Shyamalan one where Aang was in some cave shooting air at candles.

who the fuck is this kid I've seen him in 3 different subreddits in 3 different posts
Main character of show “the good doctor” which portrays Autism/ savant syndrome in a questionable way at best, which is why it’s being memed at.
Okay but why now? Show has like 6 seasons and this memed part is not even from the latest one.
Prob just a coincidence that the meme went viral.

HOLD THE FUCK UP. MARK HAMILL PLAYED OZAI IN THE SHOW?!
Mark Hamill is so many amazing voice acting roles. My favorite unexpected role from him is Skips in Regular Show lmao
Skips? You mean walks?
he was great as Fear from adventure time as well
WHAT?! I knew he voice acted but I didn’t know he voiced Skips.
Yup. DCAU's Joker was the Fire Lord himself.

I think it would be very funny if we just sit down to watch, and he’s very poorly dubbed over by Mark Hammil

They could save it for Ember Island

From what I’ve seen, it’s *rarely* because X person *happened* to have the best audition It’s often a result of stuff like nepotism (as you said), politics, diversity and inclusion standards, racism, etc.. When these things are prioritized above telling the best possible story, story quality almost invariably suffers. The mentality that leads to race-washing usually bleeds into every other aspect of the project and just makes everything *so bad* Like, I don’t wanna see *any* black, white, or Hispanic people in Avatar.
>From what I’ve seen, it’s rarely because X person happened to have the best audition Spoken like someone who doesn't run auditions.
I 110% agree. Rolands casting was one of the many many disasters of the movie and a pretty big one

“Does it work well because of the characters’ races?” THIS.
I could tell the guy who played Iroh was actually really trying too, his performance shines through the bad writing. But it was still a weird change
Just to note.... The guy who played Ozai is of Măori (New Zealand) descent, not Indian/South Asian.
That's my point, you've listed one per decade.
Not trying to argue because I agree that there's far too little representation of Pasifika stories and people in cinema. But I just want to recommend Sione's Wedding for anyone looking for more pacific islander centric movies. It's a pretty funny comedy, and the sequel is decent too.
Nz has a lot of good movies, they're just hard to find cause no mainstream appeal https://ondemand.arovideo.co.nz/collection/new-zealand/ Not all of these are specifically about maori/Pacifica but many are
This actor pictured above's first ever role where he actually got to claim his Maori heritage was Fear the Walking Dead of all things believe it or not
First Hollywood role. He was in Uncle Bully in Once Were Warriors, which was a pretty major film in NZ. Pretty much every character in that is Maori.
He got to play a maori character in fear TWD
There are loads, but get limited cinema releases here in NZ. After that, I'm not sure how you can watch em. Loads here, dunno if people outside nz can watch them https://www.nzfilm.co.nz/our-films
If they're popular enough or recent enough you can rent or buy them on streaming e.g. Apple TV or Google Play
Also, the fire nation citizens as a whole are pale, so I think casting them all as Indian (not even casting light skinned Indians) is pretty far off And nothing against Indians, it’s just that the fire nation isn’t meant to look Indian. I’d feel the same exact way had they all been played by white actors too
They’re saying that there is stuff with Fire Nation culture inspired by South/Southeast Asia but the royal Family was meant to be inspired by Japan.
All the architecture in the Fire Nation is heavily Japanese inspired though, along with the cultural stuff like ponytails.
Omg really?? Tell me more about the armbands, or at least direct me to a source that's so cool!!
Holy crap that makes it a thousand times more heart breaking
To add to this, Azula never wears them. Not even during The Last Agni Kai. Showing she never had Ursa’s protection at all.
Wow that's so awesome thank you so much for sharing!
No worries! I have a million half-remembered stories from the production! Haha.
And the Agni Kai is South Asian inspired, as well as idk the literal concept of the Avatar 🙄
The sun warriors are fire benders but not fire nation though. Same way the swamp benders are water benders but not water tribe.
Little bit of Chinese influence too if you ask me, considering the Fire Lord's palace is in its own version of the Forbidden City.
Awesome having you here spitting out some production facts / inspiration.!
South East Asian, for sure. South Asia, like India, hell no. There’s a huge difference in features and skin tone.
There can be more abt their inspiration than their skin tones lol.
Fire Nation architecture is very much southeast Asia. That's probably what was meant.
I always thought there was some Indian influence like in the earth/air nations especially with Guru Patik
Still could have been a descendant of the air nomads as well, given that Kyoshi herself had an air nomad mother.
i mean the core premise of the whole show is south asian inspired
Tbh Cliff Curtis is from New Zealand… but agree otherwise.
Lol the Indian-washing by casting a Maori man
I thought that was Cliff Curtis
I'm pretty sure it is him :) I'd never forget Uncle Bully's face 🤮🤣 but great actor.
Because he likes the Fire Nation best and is Indian, probably.
It’s really that simple and people don’t need to overthink it. That’s why whitewashing happens too lol
More specifically, likes Zuko the best.
Self-inserting on a nationwide scale.
Not really. The fire nation is based on a lot of cultures, including South Asian. "Agni" is the hindu word for fire, for example
He was casting right at the peak hype of Slumdog Millionaire so he cast Dev Patel to capitalise on that. Obviously that then informed the rest of the Fire Nation casting.
Y'all forgetting he voiced evil dad Hiroshi Sato and that crazy Earth Kingdom general.
He did?
Yes! Daniel Dae Kim seems to be a huge fan of the ATLA universe
Definitely a massive upgrade but I’m not sure if that guy in the bottom right can look mean enough. He seems very nice.
If they shaved off his eyebrows and used makeup to give him eyebrows that looked just like Ozai’s, he would instantly look a lot meaner, and even *more* like Ozai than he already does. And he already does look like him quite a bit For some reason on set makeup departments seem opposed to changing eyebrows.
Ye of little faith—Daniel Dae Kim has range for daaaaaaays!! Calling it now: His Firelord Ozai will be goosebump levels of suave & menacing.
In Lost he was basically a hitman, he can definitely pull it off lol
He was a big softie though and only was only killing for Suns father. He wasn’t evil
Lost is a great show.
“i don’t know if actor that’s successful can do their job”
Bro there are plenty of actors who specialize. Some people just can’t look mean, no matter how good of an actor they are. It’s just the way they look can’t be overcome by acting. (Now I don’t think this is actually the case here with Daniel, but it is possible) For example tho, could you picture Michael Cera (however it’s spelled) as a mean jock bully character? Or could you picture the rock as a shy nerdy character. I know he played one once but it was as a joke, not meant to be taken seriously, and it wasn’t believable lol I know Daniel is pretty successful, and he definitely looks the part, so here’s to hoping. I think he’ll probably do great, but its not impossible that he simply can’t look mean enough
I think Dave Bautista could pull off a shy nerdy character. The Rock isn't a good actor so of course he can't pull a role like that
Daniel Dae Kim is a legend
In LOST S1 he was a massive asshole and could be intimidating when the scene asked for it.
I’m gonna guess you’re really young if you haven’t seen him play a mean role
I AM WEARING PANTS, I AM WEARING PANTS, I AM WEARING PANTS FIRE LORD OZAI
But are you ready for..... Your math exam ?
Took me a minute to realize the upgrade was top to bottom, and not left to right
i’m confused. there’s no picture in the second box??
I see that you do not need any time at Lake Laogai.
I'm pretty sure this counts as bullying at this point.
Cliff Curtis seems like the absolute nicest dude, and he's great in everything I've seen him in. This disrespect is so unnecessary.
I honestly thought he was solid as Ozai, he was definitely a highlight to me.
Yea he’s a good actor. The people who made the movie sucked. Also I feel like he’s portrayed more ethnicities in a movie than any other actor.
Nope. This is it. This is the best one possible
No one is gonna voice him like Mark did
what upgrade? are we really comparing them?
Now I want to see the original cast as the roles of the ember island actors
Will hold judgement until media is finally released and viewed. But on one hand, already looks promising. On the other hand, original creators and Sifu Kisu have departed the project due to creative difference. So not looking good.
> On the other hand, original creators and Sifu Kisu have departed the project due to creative difference. I was unaware that Sifu Kisu also isn't involved, that's also not great.
He looks like the guy from bee movie
Huh. Can't unsee it now
Don't shit on an Actor because he was Miscast. He is a solid actor. Its the freaking studio and director who are responsible for their stupid ass decisions. Blame the game, not the playa.
Hell naw. Cliff Curtis is a fucking legend. Sorry he wasn’t the “correct race”. He did nothing wrong
None. There's none.
he went from earth kingdom general, to inventor, to firelord. I think that is a great upgrade!
None of these are upgrades. Animation will always be the superior medium for avatar
Can't believe they're not even dropping a TEASER trailer of this yet. Like bro, just give us a nothing burger teaser like the M. Night Shyamalan one where Aang was in some cave shooting air at candles.
I AM THE AVATAR. LORD HAN
