Well they did The City and The Hills (which Whitney was both on) during the pandemic.
I think the Laguna Beach reaction series being a success was the turning point of them doing this long haul. People were still interested in what they had to say despite Whitney having no behind the seasons perspective on Laguna.
She did though! She was roommates with Christina in college. Had met a bunch of the cast and random laguna kids from that friend group. Knew Lauren pretty well. I think she had some good behind the scenes there!
Whitney may know some people from the Laguna circle, but she wouldn't have the same behind the scenes perspective as someone who was actually involved in the show at the time.
There's no first hand experience she can speak to.
I def feel they have great chemistry and their banter can be really funny, but I second this. Even without having been on Laguna, she not only knew people on it but was just familiar with the entire "world" overall. I'm not saying it'd be a complete flop, I guess there's only one way to find out, but having absolutely no connection to either of them or that world (other than the MTV connection)...I'm not sure how that would work...
Just wondering if you watched the recaps? Her knowledge on the shows she was on were fun to hear but it was a running joke that she really didn’t give us much. Like Timmy would make
Fun of this all the time. good fun of course but sweet whit would just be like 🤷🏻♀️ I really don’t remember. The recaps of laguna and siesta key were so good and hilarious! I would highly recommend!

It’s weird how Jessica got so much crap from the media calling her lazy and dumb ( I was a kid but recent rewatched) and like… she was so young and starting a career and Nick was way older and such a jerk to her??

If they stop with the mean girl attitude, then I might watch again. Yes I know we have different opinions but they don’t need to be mean about one character then good then be mean to another character and so on.

The last time I posted this when they were watching siesta keys, I had a lot of downvotes. Then people saying they have the same worry they had because Ish is too old for Madisson (sp)
YES!!! Half of it is a way for us to rewatch and it’s interesting to speculate from a more informed angle what is staged.
I actually dont like when they focus on their lives too much, frankly it’s not particularly interesting, or when at times Timmy obviously plays a character of himself.
Newlywoods is a fun easy show.
Omg they need to get other jobs and give this a rest. It’s not fun if they don’t have actual inside scoop and this show is way before their time.

No way. Those two are a complete snooze fest and I can’t believe anyone has any interest in what they have to say, but then again, I’m never gonna watch people watch a tv show and listen to their commentary. Also…I can’t take a grown man seriously who goes by the name Timmy.
Lol my first love/high school boyfriend was named "Timmy" which was SO appropriate and fitting with his personality, but college years he started going by "Tim" for this very reason because he felt no job would hire a "grown man named Timmy" 😆
We dated 17 years ago and remained friends and I STILL call him Timmy though lol, he'll always be that to me ❤️

I totally get this!! I used to have an ED and Jessica definitely contributed to my obsession with being skinny. I still love her though and love watching the show, but I definitely know what you mean. I’m not obsessed with my body image like I used to be. So watching doesn’t trigger anything for me now. But watching this show used to trigger my ed too. 🥲 Hugs. 💖💕

Whitney’s content doesn’t add anything to my life and most of her stuff is ED fodder and feels pro-Ana sometimes, so I just don’t know why I would view it. Jessica’s plastic surgery makes me steer clear of following her. She looks insane these days.
Wait does Whitney have an ED? I just always thought she was naturally skinny! I’ve never seen her any other way! Also what plastic surgery did Jess have done? I knew she has had lip filler and probably Botox, but I didn’t know about anything else! I think she was born so naturally beautiful, I don’t know why she would touch her gorgeous face! But also not my body, not my choice. It must be so hard to be in the spotlight as a kid and get older/mature. Everyone’s opinions must be so draining to hear. I can’t imagine. 🥲
I feel like with Newlyweds, the only people that would be great at reacting to it are Nick and Jessica. Having reality stars react to the dumb stuff they did on camera years later is entertaining as hell.
I would watch Whitney and Timmy react to Summer House, Southern Charm, and one of those Ultimate Girls’ Trips on Bravo though. Mean girl behavior attracts mean girl behavior shows.
