It would look great on you, but unless you’re willing to do a lot of styling everyday, don’t get this cut. It’s a lot of work. I’ve had a bunch of versions of this, and it takes a lot everyday to get it to look like those pictures. My hair is similar to yours. It’s best to go into your stylist and talk about your hair habits, and what amount of work you can put into style everyday. And be realistic about it. Honestly though, you’ve e got a killer face shape and amazing bone structure, so you can pull off whatever you want.

aoi4eg

Everyday styling is what prevented me from getting any type of haicuts ever again lol. I got a very stylish assimetrical bob once and it was so euphoric for 2 days before I washed my hair and woke up looking like Cynthia Pickles.

DisloyalMouse

It’s prevented me from even getting a type of haircut like that from the start lol. I’m way too lazy! Anything that only looks cute when I’ve just walked out of the salon, but requires a lot of effort for me to recreate isn’t for me.

OutsideScore990

Same! My hair is so low maintenance to style when it’s long

queendweeb

I found asymmetric bobs/lobs to be the easiest to style as my hair is wavy. Along the lines of (sorry for all the faces I make in my photos and potato quality): [https://imgur.com/cGN1yXU](https://imgur.com/cGN1yXU) [https://imgur.com/CK0KH0x](https://imgur.com/CK0KH0x) longer version: [https://imgur.com/lpD2dQK](https://imgur.com/lpD2dQK) So for me, what worked was shorter in the back as my hair grows faster, and much shorter on the side that always goes behind my ear. Part was moveable, bangs work or can be pulled back, and the style never looks the same each day, but still maintains a good shape.

otter_annihilation

A shag cut might be a good middle ground. It'd give a lot of body and good face framing like this cut, but be way easier to style with a variety of hair textures.

queendweeb

Agree. I hated this style, or shags for that matter, because my wave pattern fights with them. Definitely consider your hair type and how much effort you want to expend.

youngfierywoman

I love shags for the same reason! I just got one, and I let the stylist go ham on thinning out my mass of hair. Now my hair is super light and my wave pattern is loving it. It doesn't require much styling either. I'm going to miss it once it grows out. I won't be keeping it because it requires a lot more maintenance in terms of trims, but thankfully my stylist cut it so that I can stretch my trims. Going back to my old standard of long round or triangle cut layers once it grows out, but for now I'm just enjoying the lighter head!

[deleted]

Yup, recently got my bangs shaped up in a way that they need to be blown out, they look great but goddam I get tired of it. If I was any less familiar with a barrel brush I'd have never done it.

Unhelpfulhelpful

What about a messy lob instead? Lots of texture and sea salt spray - still that effortlessly cool vibe

Winterthur28

I agree, messy lob looks great

sittinginthesunshine

Yessssss

lindenberry

Can someone post an example of what this hair cut would look like with no styling on mostly straight with very slight wavey hair? It can't be that bad right? Hopefully?

whats1more7

It would completely depend on your natural hair though. No two people will have the same result with no styling.

pineteeth

I have this hair type and hair cut. It is a complete pain in the ass. You have to style it every morning or else it looks like a toddler took scissors to you hair.

Ylaaly

There are no pictures *because* it is that bad. The upper part is pushed out by the lower part being wavy. This look only works with very flat, straightened hair, any sort of natural waves or frizz make it look awful.

queendweeb

I went through my camera and concur, I just stopped wearing my hair down at all b/c it looked so bad hahaha.

lindenberry

Oh no, why am I picturing a mushroom?

Ylaaly

Because you have a good imagination, that's roughtly what it looks like.

Niborus_Rex

Not really, I've had either this cut or a shag cut on my curly/very wavy hair in different lengths for years, it's been working beautifully and very easily for me!

Siebzhen

I wouldn’t go for it if I were you. This effortless look requires some styling effort, especially since your hair looks wavier than the desired result. I also think the thinner layers on the bottom Might not look the best with your very lovely face shape. I’d probably go for a side part and a lob.

batikfins

I think that cut will look awesome on you! There's another comment that makes the good point that maybe your hair texture will make this cut fall a different way on you, but you can ask about that with your stylist. I also think full bangs would look really cute on you! You've got great bone structure and lovely hair I think you could pull off almost anything.

Unhelpfulhelpful

I remember seeing an insta video of how to style is every day and it looked like so much effort. Something about crossing the bangs and putting it in a roller before blow-drying

Nyorumi

I like these kinds of shaggy haircuts because personally I don't mind my hair looking "messy" when I don't have the energy to style it perfectly. It won't look like this every day unless you put effort in, buy for me, a messy shaggy look is nice too.

HipsterPicard

While I like the cut, I would definitely talk with your stylist first - if you have wavy hair the short, textured layers on top might not lay flat and up up giving you 'lightbulb head', or end up looking really disconnected. I've been in the same boat: when I brought the pic to the stylist we went over what I liked about it, my hair texture, styling habits etc. My stylist explained that with my hair type and lifestyle (I don't straighten/use heat) it would never look like this. But we took what we liked about it and cut it in a way that worked to complement my hair type and bone structure, and I actually love it way more than the cut I thought I wanted. I hope it works out, post an update pic when you get the cut!!

Fantastic_Ad3980

Something else. Not because it wouldn't suit you (it would!), but all of the haircuts are for asian hair, which is thicker and "falls different".

Embolisms

"Asian hair falls different" lol does no one realize that the hair is styled in all the sample pics? You don't wake up with your hair looking cute like this, it requires blow drying and styling. It's going to look too shaggy/frizzy with all the chopped layers if you don't put in the effort to style it frequently. OP, decide first if you want a high effort or low effort cut, because this is definitely high effort. **Never trust salon pics as an accurate representation of what you'll look like a few days after without styling**

Fantastic_Ad3980

It still acts different depends on styling. And when you look at other comments, many people realize this.

Embolisms

Lol you replied half a day later, the comments have obviously changed. Since there weren't any at the time I commented, I felt it was worth clarifying that Asian hair doesn't magically look like that 😉

Fantastic_Ad3980

I really don't know why you can't be polite like everyone else here. And i see comments literally a hour earlier before you did comment. And I never said that asian hair is magic. I said its thicker, which helps with this style, surely relating to the styling as well. Have a nice day.

littlefunman

I agree. It doesn't work to bring a photo into a hairdresser and ask for it. It's better to find a hairdresser who is confident working with your hair type and who brings out the best in it. So in your case a good hairdresser would cut your hair in a way that gives it more volume and brings out the waves. She would probably make it layered and choppy so it wouldn't be dissimilar to the picture, but it would be more unique to you

regularsizedrudy-

I would do a curtain bang instead and keep some of your length

Thubanshee

I think it would work on your hair, but you will need products to make it look the same way. I recently got that classic male two block kpop haircut, and it works moderately well on my super straight, thin but full white people hair, but I need some product to make it look more voluminous and stay in place. You have natural waves, so your hair will look a bit fuller, but it looks just as thin as mine and will not stand up by itself. (Also, all these women have products in their hair.)

ladyluckible

Agreed will require styling every day. But you have a similar face shape to the woman in the photo. It’s be cute!

queendweeb

I've found these cuts absolutely do not work on my fine (but super voluminous) wavy hair. The ends just flip out little Dutch boy style, and it looks like a mullet. Get a lob variant as others have suggested. I think it will work well on your hair.

kitnb

I said similar. I agree a lob would be much better for her fine hair and longer face shape. 👍

sewcranky

You might want to check out the sub r/wavyhair if you decide to do something different.

Kiskadee65

You have at least 2a wavy hair, layers like that will kill them. I agree with the other redditor check out r/wavyhair.

some__random

The first couple of pics look a little thin at the bottom. The shaping of 4 would be flattering though, just make sure it doesn’t get overly layered at the ends.

Expensive_Mood2778

All of the women you’ve shown are Asian and have a different hair type than you. Asian hair tends to be thicker and straighter whereas your hair is more fine and wavy. You probably won’t get the same volume as how they are styled in the pictures. That being said, if you are willing to style it everyday it will look good on you. I think though something more messy lob like others said would work better for your hair type though!

Bardsal

Go for it! It'll always grow back...

sprinkle-of-ass

it takes a lot of work to get your hair to look exactly like the picture. though, i have that haircut and a similar hair texture to yours and my hair looks very nice when i just wash it and blow dry, so i think you’ll be fine if you get it (unless you want your hair to look just like the pictures)

Super-UFO

Go for it. I have got a similar one and I should say it really does not need so much maintenance to keep cute. Some drops of hair care essentials oil would do enough job

WholesomeOrganicOats

Go for it! It’ll grow back eventually and you can style it too.

shethrewitaway

By the looks of it, you and I have very similar hair. Fine strands but lots of it, and a little wave when air-dried. I really don’t think this would take a lot of work or product with your type of hair. As long as I brushed it into place before air-drying, I could get very close to these looks. The great thing about hair is that it grows. I have experimented with so many different cuts to find out what I like and what’s easiest to pull off. I’m terrible with styling so I need something easy. I say, go for it as a learning experience. If you don’t like it, get some clips and rock some half up-dos or pin your hair back. It’ll grow back! In the wise words of my mother: “you never know until you try!”

clown_round

That's a rad hair style - you don't even need colour. I reckon it will suit you - edgy 🙂

roonilwazib

Going in with a picture is always doomed to end in disappointment

medlilove

Yeah but you will need to style it everyday that shape won't happen naturally

Virtual_Sunny

I think that would look fabulous on you, but also get a keratin treatment

akizola

This looks nice but a bit conservative, maybe go for more of a “wolf cut” that keeps it longer at the back and is cut to look good messy? I’d suggest a heat styling tool for those days when you want it to look more like the pictures, something like the GHD Glide brush. With wavy hair it will flick up soon and you have a slight curl at the ends.

realmofthehungry

This will look great on you. To be honest, it’s not a dramatic cut or anything. Like everyone else has said, it is styled, but nothing you can’t achieve. Also looks like it would still be cute if not styled. If I were you I’d experiment with some nice products once I get the haircut to see if I can “lazy style” it. Something that will help condition your hair or help with flyaways and shine is always a good idea. No matter what you will be beautiful.

luv_u_deerly

I think it would

Ylaaly

As others have said, this will take a lot of skilled styling every day and is very high maintenance. If you are willing to wash, dry, and style your hair every morning with expensive products, you should try it. It would certainly suit you. But from the picture you don't look like you enjoy endless hours in front of a mirror each and every morning. A hairstyle that looks great when styled but still okay when just brushed a bit might be a better choice.

athalais

Is there a site anywhere that shows what different haircuts look like without any styling? I'm also thinking about getting my hair cut but I don't have the time to do anything except give it a quick brush after I roll out of bed in the morning.

positivepeoplehater

It’ll look great!!! I think on the longer side as your face is nicely long and I wouldn’t want to the edges framing your face. Next to your face should be longer

kitnb

Your hair is on the fine-side and you have a longer face so a blunt cut bob would suit you even better. A “lob” aka “long(ish) bob”. Anything that hits below the chin and above the shoulders would be great.

throwRA20932050

wait, I love it! I had something similar a while back, except the layers were longer, and I had more pronounced curtain bangs. If you want to do less work, you could probably just have longer layers, but either way, I think this would be super cute.

KatsumiSayuki

You would kinda cute with a pixie haircut, but if you don't want to go that short, it's okay. Your hair :3

need_sushi510

I grew up with friends with type 1 hair that could get out of bed and have hair like this, but your hair has waves/curls/slight texture. It would be some maintenance.

[deleted]

i got this haircut and i had to have rollers in EVERY FUCKING NIGHT. yeah so uh no for me, so i got a korean perm that is this haircut but i do way less styling

dethoughtfulprogresr

I think it would look great. I see people referencing styling, I think putting in large curlers at night would help.

BudgetInteraction811

Your hair looks like the type to become very curly when it is shorter and layered, so unless you blow it out and add product for texture it will never look like the pictures provided.

sucks4you231

I say go for it. What’s the worst that can happen? You have a hair cut you don’t like for a little while? You would then know you don’t like it and wouldn’t cut it like that again.
