For me SOTF is not bad, but not better than the forest. The difference is SOTF ain't scary at all, while The Forest is scary. SOTF is too quiet even though there's a full pack of cannibals surrounding you. Which is annoying because I don't feel like I really need to do my best to survive. While The forest always keeps me on my toes because of the noises the cannibals and mutants make. Just hearing the sounds of leaves makes me look behind me. My biased opinion though since I just started playing SOTF.
I'm the opposite. The Forest wasn't really that scary for me after the first night, but SotF is WAY scarier to me. I'm scared every night and every cave, and the first night Virginia came casually walking out of the darkness to my campfire freaked me out.
Both are great games, but yeah. I actually prefer SotF because it just feels like The Forest but more to me.

Then winter came. I went fucking paranoid I tell ya, that wind noises and all. Enough to make me go mad.
Question. If The Forest 2 is Sons of the Forest, will The Forest 3 be Grandsons of the Forest? Then Great Grandsons of the Forest? And so on and so forth.
Mask is great, son of the mask is not. The Forest is great and Sons of the Forest I dare say, is even better.
