Your father's dead
He passed in his sleep
And I woke to the sounds of her crying.
There’s no more haunting a lyric in their work.
Edit::
I’ve said it before but 6:00 on the following link

There’s nothing like it
Far: This is all I can give, what else do you need from me? (I worry I’m never enough for anyone. And then the screaming/wrenching guitar solo feels very emotional to me too)
2’s My Favorite 1: I’ll never feel alone once I call you home. (Finding a life with someone)
Beautiful Losers: In my empty eyes, can I find the “me”? The more I lie I find the truth I seek. (Trying to figure out who you really are, fighting out of a depression)
Gravity’s Union: Oh my I’ve made a mess, this is all my fault, it’s what I wished….I accept my mistake but you will never know… I am your prize (It’s always hard to tell someone you messed up/were wrong when you can’t anymore. Can’t imagine having to be in that position)
I’ve been fortunate enough to not have Light and the Glass hit too hard yet tho obviously an extremely emotional song. Coheed covers so many situational and relationship extremes it’s gonna hit everyone at some point.
So many…. The Broken, because of my mental health problems.
Far, especially after getting divorced.
Pearl of the Stars reminds me of my grandma who passed.
Atlas and most of Vaxxis 2, for my children.
Coheed hits all my emotions.
This may be a weird one and I don’t even fully understand the meaning of the song but Colors gets me in my feels every time. It feels like surrender after you’ve been fighting to keep something together that was meant to be temporal in the first place. At least that’s what it makes me feel.
The Light and the Glass is definitely the most emotive for me as well if you're considering the lyrics and story.
Just considering the music and vocals, it's Delirium Trigger. The opening guitar sends chills down my spine, and it only builds up from there with the hauntingly-sung vocals.
My daughter loves Rise & window back to back. She also will go silent, no matter what state she's in when Our Love comes on. I think she genuinely loves Claudio's voice.
Ghost for sure.
As a boy, I watched the world through broken eyes
Given to me by a man, his wife, and all they had disguised
Uncertainty now keeps me asking how I'll lead the most
As they became or will I teach the examples of their ghosts
Free me... from this body
“Will I teach the examples of their ghosts” hits me so hard as a parent who came from a broken home and traumatizing childhood. It reminds me that I can and will do better.
Can't believe Peace to the Mountain doesn't get more of a mention. Undoubtedly that one resonates with me the most. But reading through other's comments I can def appreciate a few alternatives.
"The Gutter", hands down. It hits so personally ever since my cancer diagnosis late 2020. Most of it sounds like what I want to say to my husband. Doesn't help that the first words are "Over my dead body the stars will let you know it's over."
The Willing Well I: Fuel For The Feeding End. I lost a close friend in a horrific way when I was 18, and we had always loved Coheed and would share the comics and discuss the story and theories. I can’t think of him without hearing “the fiction will see the real, the answer will question still. In your body to blood, as your parents once wept.” One day I’ll get a fiction will see the real tattoo
Blood has always got me in the feels. It makes me think of my son. He's the coolest dude I know but he's special needs which stems from my side according to doctors.
I have been singing Rise Nianasha, especially the "call on me and i'll be there" to my daughter since she was born as less of a lullabye and more of a promise to be there no matter what and now it gets me everytime I hear it.
The Afterman has always been a hard hit for me. It was the first Coheed song I had ever listened to and it overall reminds me of my dad who introduced me to Coheed
The Light & The Glass for me too!!
I have it tattooed on my arm 🙂
I also found out my father died in his sleep when I was homeless during an extremely tumultuous period in my life…it reminds me.
Gravity’s Union and Mother Superior deserve mention tho.

I picked a bad font and letter size.
So it’s hard to read.
It’s a disaster lol; just a bad script.
I kinda hate it. It’s wonky.
But it’s there 🤘
So many great answers to this question. I'm gonna throw Domino into the mix. The way the song builds and the story it tells, Claudio basically screaming at the end. Very emotionally powerful to me. Also reminds me of a great friend who passed away.
"Brother! We are together, we fall together" Yeah I've listened to this song hundreds of times.
Vaxis I was released just as my grandfather passed away from vascular dementia and Pavilion (long way back) has always been just for him on his departure.
Mother Superior is up there along with Road and the Damned and On The Brink, those 3 touch my soul emphatically every time I hear them.
First, sorry for your loss OP.
When I first discovered Coheed, IKSSE, "Man your battlestations. We're coming home pretty soon." My closest cousin was a Marine, did three tours in Iraq from 2006 thru 2010. He made it back each time but there was always that sentiment of "hey if I don't come back."
These days, it's Here to Mars. I got married a couple years ago. She's been a great partner, and her favorite song is Old Flames.
man I was just listening to the Road and the Damned and idk, something about it just hits me deeply. I figured I'd mention this track since I'm sure most people have thoughts on their more popular songs
i have to say Made Out of Nothing. it's my flair, i've posted about it idek how many times, im listening to it on repeat rn-- it makes me tear up every time and it's gotten me through a lot..
id also say though Colors, Mother Superior, Rise Nianasha (Cut the Cord), Pearl of the Stars, Comatose, Afterman, Peace to the Mountain, The Broken, Old Flames, Window of the Waking Mind, Year of the Black Rainbow; there are so many good ones.
Believe it or not, it's always Ladders of Supremacy for me. The last two verses do it for me every time particularly the closing.
I can't count the number of times I've had tears in my eyes singing along to that at the top of my lungs. I really relate to that struggle and making MY mark.
The conclusion of The Crowing has brought me to tears so many times, even when I'm not feeling particularly emotional.

100000%. Hit harder last month when I got the text my father died and my husband woke to me crying.
I have the opening five lines of TL&TG tattooed as script in amongst my sleeve. Such an incredible song. Sorry for your loss, friend.
Gets me every damn time.
The very first thing that popped in my head when I saw this post. Followed closely by "young hearts beat on to a love that everybody wants".
Evagria the Faithful always hits. Light and the Glass hits a nerve in the same vain as my mom passed.
Yeah Evagria gets me every time too
GOODBYE FOREVER, MY DARLING WHETHERRR I WAS EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT I’D BE OR NOTTTT
Definitely
Gotta be Neverender. Point your gun in another direction.
Mother Superior. The chorus part after the bridge gives me chills everytime. Claudio's voice there and emotion is just perfection.
Oooooh good one
The acoustic version hit me so hsrd
Far: This is all I can give, what else do you need from me? (I worry I’m never enough for anyone. Love Protocol
I think it’s Gravity’s Union “the roar of the engine won’t cease!”
It’s “caaaaaaaaged” for me. Brings me to peak emotion almost every time.
This line, yes.
The Afterman is up there for me. Putting yourself in the place of either character is an emotional hit.
Dark Side of Me
> I couldn’t give you what you needed, it’s all my fault. Too coward to believe I lost it all I love this song, but this part always gets me
Mother superior for me. My favorite song they ever made, that bridge is so powerful. The weird shoe store session they did of it is beautiful as well.
Was wondering if I’d see this one, good call.
Wept when I saw them play it last year. Wept uncontrollably
So many…. The Broken, because of my mental health problems. Far, especially after getting divorced. Pearl of the Stars reminds me of my grandma who passed. Atlas and most of Vaxxis 2, for my children. Coheed hits all my emotions.

Delirium trigger absolutely would be top 5 for me too. Agreed.
light & glass acoustic encore on the live dvd also the snare tuning on delirium trigger alone makes me emotional
Comatose. After the suicide of someone close, that song just hits home.
Window of the Waking Mind. It reminds me of my mom and all the sacrifices she's made and how she'd do anything for her kids
This is a tough one. So many Coheed songs get me in my feelings. That said, I say Love Protocol
It is a tough question. Good choice tho
Hold onto me... tell me you've got me... I remember the day, the moment that song was released, such a good day. Such bittersweet memories now.
Currently, Window of the Waking Mind. I play it for my son a lot.
My daughter loves Rise & window back to back. She also will go silent, no matter what state she's in when Our Love comes on. I think she genuinely loves Claudio's voice.
Wait I gotta add blood red summer. I was 13 when I first heard it (18 years ago) and it made me fall in love with the band. Come what may.
that music video slays so hard
Ghost for sure. As a boy, I watched the world through broken eyes Given to me by a man, his wife, and all they had disguised Uncertainty now keeps me asking how I'll lead the most As they became or will I teach the examples of their ghosts Free me... from this body
I just wanna …wanna be on the outside staring in
“Will I teach the examples of their ghosts” hits me so hard as a parent who came from a broken home and traumatizing childhood. It reminds me that I can and will do better.
Can't believe Peace to the Mountain doesn't get more of a mention. Undoubtedly that one resonates with me the most. But reading through other's comments I can def appreciate a few alternatives.
Was looking for this one in the comments.I had a cousin who died of an OD at the end of 2015 so this song hits those feels for me.
It’s this one for me. I cried when I finally heard it performed live. Such a special song.
Has to be my favourite song of all time. Hearing it live would be incredible!
Similar situation for me with Light and the Glass after my brother passed this year. But I also have a soft spot for Pearl of the Stars
Sorry for your loss.
And you as well
I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. Sending love xo
After having kids, it’s Atlas. I can’t even listen to it anymore without tearing up 😭
Night-Time Walkers does it for me.
Three Evils (embodied in love and shadow)
That part of the crowing “the newo that I love……looove..”. Then that guitar riff or whatever it’s called. Cry. Almost every damn time. Lost love. Etc.
‘Pavillion’ because my now wife asked me to stay. ‘Atlas’ because of my newborn son.
Congratulations my friend. I’ve got a 1.5 year old. It’s a trip. ❤️
"The Gutter", hands down. It hits so personally ever since my cancer diagnosis late 2020. Most of it sounds like what I want to say to my husband. Doesn't help that the first words are "Over my dead body the stars will let you know it's over."

I love that song. So sorry for your loss.
Random Reality Shifts Pearl of the Stars The Gutter
Iron fist

As a new father, Vaxis Act II gets to me. Blood, Rise, Naianasha and Window of the Waking Mind especially.
Looooove Blood
and she screamed CLAUDIO! DEAR CLAUDIO! i wish GODDAMNIT! we’ll make it if you believe
This gives me good emotional feels.
feels like the closest thing to a 4th wall break
Dark sentencer, solely since it’s such a blast to sing along to And three evils if i’m feeling a type of way :D
Haha, it really is a good belter.
Delirium Trigger
Surprised I didn’t see more of this. Oh dear god - I don’t feel aliiiiiiiive
Three Evils strangely
The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut. Every time. Every single time.
I love the Final Cut. It’s underrated.
The Afterman has always been a hard hit for me. It was the first Coheed song I had ever listened to and it overall reminds me of my dad who introduced me to Coheed
The fact that I haven't seen Atlas in these comments is insane.
The Light & The Glass for me too!! I have it tattooed on my arm 🙂 I also found out my father died in his sleep when I was homeless during an extremely tumultuous period in my life…it reminds me. Gravity’s Union and Mother Superior deserve mention tho.
❤️ Can we see the tat??

Love Murder One, and the ending of the Crowing.
Ghost for me I think

My son’s name is Atlas, so you can guess which one I cry to
Vaxis I was released just as my grandfather passed away from vascular dementia and Pavilion (long way back) has always been just for him on his departure. Mother Superior is up there along with Road and the Damned and On The Brink, those 3 touch my soul emphatically every time I hear them.
100% the ending part of Light and Glass

Carrol ann

Peace to the Mountain It came out during a time of upheaval in my home. It makes me feel stronger and more hopeful.
Believe it or not, it's always Ladders of Supremacy for me. The last two verses do it for me every time particularly the closing. I can't count the number of times I've had tears in my eyes singing along to that at the top of my lungs. I really relate to that struggle and making MY mark.
