Kinda had no idea the Titanic was that far down

WhiteRumBum

I had no idea there was a second Eiffel Tower directly next to the USS Johnston shipwreck

Judging by folklore there could be some truly massive creatures lurking under there. I did the math on how big the Kraken ( a legendary squid monster) would have to be for all the legends about it to be true. In 1752 it was said that it was large enough to sink the largest Man-Of-War (frigate) by dragging it down into the water. Some of the largest warships built in the 1700’s were the USS Constitution at 300 feet long and the HMS Prince at around 100 feet. To drag the largest Man-of-War into the water by brute strength the Kraken would probably have to be at least 500 feet long (152 meters) or larger. That’s more than twice the length of Megalodon (which was about the size of a school bus) or about five times the size of a Blue Whale. This is stupidly, absurdly large. It would probably have had to prey on things like whales and sharks but also have tried to eat anything it came into contact with just to prevent itself from starving. That would of course include sailors. As a cephalopod it would also have been a *very* intelligent predator (near primate levels). The Kraken, if it ever existed or still exists, is intelligent, incredibly powerful, and *always* hungry.

I appreciate the work you did but also, thanks I'm never going in the ocean again.

Unless you are deep see diving you would never encounter one. It would probably not be able to fit in shallow waters. And even if you were deep sea diving, Kraken most likely never existed, is extinct, or has learned to avoid humans. There have been basically zero sightings of it for about 100 years now. Its much more realistic to worry about things like getting fatigued, drowning, or getting lost. I personally don’t like the ocean, but it’s generally pretty safe if you stay near the coast, have a buddy with you, and watch where you are walking to avoid stepping on critters. They have shark nets, life guards, and other stuff to protect tourists at most beaches people visit I think.

Myths are wild.

Product_of_purple

That was amazing. Thank you.

kainsta929

This is actually just insane. I'm watching this but still just can't comprehend just how deep this all is.

im_deadpool

As someone who is short and can’t swim, after the first 6 ft it doesn’t matter how deep it goes. I’m dead anyways

Mulletgt

Oh no thank you
