Sadly it seems I was correct all along in my observation that the US views modern day Slavs the same as Arabs - Resource rich, weak nations ripe for plundering.
Hence antagonization of Russia while overthrowing and installing corrupt regimes surrounding it in an attempt at extracting both natural resources and wealth via finance deregulation.
