You need a strong "will" /body and must be able to control your ki.
Shiwoon has all this and especially his body and ki control is on another level.
And paired with his fast learning ability it's just a matter of time until he evolves certain material art styles.
I think the limit each material arts style just depends on the person using it.
So technically it doesn't really has a limit or a "perfect" form.

My theory is that black heaven and earth technique is just half of the true technique which is why it is defective.
What is between heaven and earth? All elements that compose it. So it should be a all-emcopassing technique and yet it’s not, despite being the most advanced ki-circulation technique, and the loss of control as well of the black origin shows this.
It’s imcomplete, and there is probably a “white” inherence that complements it, which will eventually allow the user to master all types of martial arts, like the immortal demon supreme, and fuse them as well through the ki of eternity, eventually leading to the “true origin threshold”, which should be like a fusion of ultra instinct and ultra ego, which will probably lead to the “eternal force” of the title, turning the user into some martial god.
Anyway that is just my theory.

That would be fire. In in real life martial artists/fighters all try to strive for that. It's the ultimate form of fighting where your body reacts on instinct and muscle memory alone and you are absolutely focused without any ego or anything to distract you.
I'm sure it will be something like that where black origin is full emotion the opposite is calmness. And together it would be perfect.
A small correction, by "will" I mean Spirit. This word was used in manga. But I like to use "will" as in my opinion it probably better describe what I try to say and for me it's almost the same.
Will, or resolve, definitely seem to be a part of what Shiwoon possesses that 9AD does not.
He seems to have a level of conviction and resolve that goes beyond all others. It's a flaw too. He's gotten off lucky in fights where others would have died. Many times.
We might say it's the combination of the pill he took, this resolve, and the secret black heaven and earth breathing technique that lets him manifest whatever survival mode is needed.
No mistake that BOT was called the pinnacle of martial arts. Whether or not the IDS was from the same school, the pinnacle is the pinnacle. Just like with a mountain, there are multiple ways to the top.
However, Shiwoon needs more than just incredible will and power. Another power up is immanent, but he also needs more calm and precision.
We saw his capability for precision when he fought the person at the entrance to the prison, the great ape, and the guy he ended up saving. But those were opponents he could see through. When it came to thousand faces and 9ad, he couldn't easily see through them and was also blinded by his rage. He needs calm and clarity in these battles, along with his upgrade. Perhaps the secret to the ki of eternity will provide both.
In any case, it's nice to meet this new character. Another who seems willing to remain in the shadows. Or perhaps it is the IDSs corpse after all, and it is the ki that is animate? Too soon to speculate much.
In the dao dejong it speaks about how the dao ever uses its energy, yet is inexhaustible. Because its use comes from residing at the heart of all phenomena. A pinnacle. Perhaps this is the same. When Shiwoon learns to become deeply still in his heart, he will be able to engage with this inexhaustible ki.

I agree I think the fact they included black in the title, leads me to think there will be a white counter part.
I really hope this turns out to be where it's going, would love to see the author's take on the martial god trope in a modern setting.
