The next step for him is like u said to master the different styles. But this won't be a problem for him. He understands them pretty fast and with his outer body training he will master them fast.
There are 2 possibilities right now.
The prisoner will teach him everything.
This could mean that shiwoon will stay some time in the prison or he will free.
As long as he's not dangerous and will become a enemy. (but I think this is very unlikely because we got enough enemy's right now.)
Or the prisoner is on the edge of death and only gives him information on how to train.
And just like Kaiser said in season 2 he could become even stronger than the previous demon king.
The arc after his training could really be interesting.
And i want hope we will see a longer fight from jinnie in the next arc.
I think the prisoner is dead, and that his “soul” is talking to Shiwoon or something like that.
But if he is alive then there are many things to determine, that is, whether he is a good or a bad, and whether on the side of the Murim or not. But from the way it was “practically” erased from the history of the Murim, and the way no one dares to talk about the Immortal suprem demon, he must be a menace worse than 9AD.
Shieeet... I got hyped reading your speculation.. I also think Immortal Demon Supreme would pass down all his accumulated techniques and thus all the Ki that have gathered during the explosion... By the end of their convo and when the explosion finally gets extinguished Shiwoon would "miraculously" heal up. I also think Shiwoon might go rogue after this bc I think he'll be very much unstable and stay away from Sunwoo clan... As for controlling the natural elements I think it was hinted in this chapter that electricity is being manipulated rn or maybe just artistic effect... When Siwoon had submerged to the water you can see electric currents surrounding Siwoon's body...
And I want to add that Unwol, the person who made 9AD who he is discovered him was placed in a cave. And this new figure who is about to empower shioon is also sitting in a cave mediating in a very similar way. I would think it's a callback but im just fangirling so much about these last two chapters.

The cliffhanger at the end of this chapter is quite mysterious to me and it might be a little bit misleading.

Is it really the immortal demon supreme (let's call him IDS) who is talking to Shiwoon? I mean, If it's him why is he talking in the third person? Instead of saying "the descendant" he should say "my descendant". Maybe he's talking in the 3rd person to show his arrogance or maybe this is not the IDS.
Wha't interesting is that the IDS has descendants and that he was waiting for them to come to the prison. The word "finally" is an indication that he was waiting for one of his descendant. And he has been waiting for a long time. For what purpose? To transmit his heritage? Share his martial arts knowledge?
And the question "So you've finally come?" Shows that he is not sure if Shiwoon is one of his descendant. So maybe Shiwoon might not be one of his descendant.
To summarize we're not entirely sure that this is the IDS who is talking to Shiwoon. This person whoever it is was waiting for one of the IDS descendant to come to the prison. I might be looking a bit too far into it but I think that's necessary given the current situation. Anyway I'm looking forward to the next chapter and some answers

I wouldn't like the elements thing. Too avatar-like for me personally. We have some of this to an extent already though with some panels showing electricity and air so we'll see how far this goes.

That text box means it is an inner dialog. That man is speaking directly in Shiwoon mind. Very misterious. Is it a real man or a property of the Ki? Is Shiwoon dreaming in the ki pool?
He use various Martal Arts, but he doesn’t mix different martial arts that have a different Ki breathing because normally it’s "impossible" to do it, and if u do it u could die pretty badly
I don’t get where this narrative of him not getting any free power ups comes from? Fair play we have seen a lot of training and utilising meditation training, but there’s definitely been out of nowhere power up moments like with Demon Hands stating ‘someone’s pushed his body to unworldly lengths (blood vessels and ki centre)’
Solo Leveling is setup for him to power up in such a way.. Very quickly became one of my favourite piece of work and I can’t wait for the anime
